Winners is a weird store. Not weird as in bad, just weird as in I either go to Winners and want to…read morebuy everything or I go in, and want to buy nothing and leave disgusted. My most recent visit to Winners in Leduc was scenario A (want to buy everything). Winners is a discount store (so they say) that has deals on a wide variety of products from clothes to cosmetics to accessories to home decor to candy to toys. I've been to several Winners before and sometimes the deals are really awesome, but other times the Winners price isn't that great of a deal. It kind of depends on what you're looking for, and on the original retail price of the item your looking at. I just say this because it's easy to look and go "omg 50% off" and want to buy everything, but not everything is that great of a deal. That being said I do generally like Winners. I don't usually find much in the clothing department, just because their plus size selection is limited to one rack, but I always like browsing the accessories and the purses and handbags at Winners. The have some random brands I don't recognize, but then ones I do like Guess. On my last visit, I found a nice, basic gray over the shoulder purse that is perfect for traveling, and it was only $25, which seems like a great deal to me. I also really like browsing the home department section at Winners because they have cool home decor stuff, but it isn't just double decker bus figures and Buddha statues, there's more practical home stuff. Case in point the 6 pack fo wooden hangers for pants that I got. Winners can be quite busy, particularly on weekends or after holidays, but Leduc's Winners is nice. It's a decent size (not quite as big as some of the ones in Edmonton) and it's always clean and well organized. The staff are pretty friendly, and even when being the 15th person in line for the checkout counter it doesn't take too long to check out. I don't always shop at Winners, but I generally like it when I do.

I was able to find a great puzzle for my mom, a family game, novelty socks, swishmallow, and a nail polish set. All for under $40, I was very it impressed. One of the coolest things was they had an open pathway to Homesense which is located next door. But you could walk between either store and make a purchase at one side or the other. What a great idea!

They had some good deals on items like Roxy backpacks for $29.99 (I uploaded pics) and a shoe section that beats Winners handsdown (more like shoe warehouse). I uploaded lots of pics of shoes, too - of course! The toy section and home section were pretty small but that's okay 0- that's what Winners and HomeSense are for. They offer designer handbags ranging from $200 for a clutch right up to $900 (and of course, you got it - more pics!). Overall, the store felt 50% stocked - LOTS of space between aisles and it would appear they need to double their inventory. Expect the prices and quality to be inline with Winners and definitely worth a trip to wander around but nothing to write home about. Wish I could give them 3 stars - better than average but not quite in the 4 category to me.

It's a magical wonderland. But if you're like me and you've shopped there for a long time, you've probably noticed that the customer service isn't what it used to be. The cashiers are all very nice, but if you need help with something, there's just no one around. We were in the Kingsway Avenue location the other day and I wanted to pick up some Rubbermaid totes. We found the section fairly easily and made our way down the aisle. And of course, nothing on the shelves. Crappy Tire used to have buttons on the wall you could push to summon assistance, but alas, they too have joined the 21st century and now provide you with a number to text to ask for assistance. We tried this. (Pic attached for reference). No one ever came. So we took care of the problem ourselves. This is as a much easier and productive use of our time. Too bad the customer service at this store is so abysmal. It would be an otherwise great place to shop.

I don't know if it's the smells coming from the home decor section but it is overwhelming. Their home decor section is the area that holds my interest the most. I can quickly update the look of my home with a few toss cushions, window treatments and wall decorations without breaking the bank. They also have items that are well suited for shower and wedding gifts. I can navigate the store with a cart without a problem, but I don't understand having carpet in such a huge store. Wouldn't that be a total pain to keep clean? Anyway, they also have furniture and bedding. My sister bought her leather couch here a couple years ago and has been very happy with it. I guess their pieces are built well. A large focus of their furniture section is knotty pine. I'm not a huge fan of this style of wood. You can get a back of tea lights for a couple bucks which is a good thing because I burn through them like crazy!

It is limited to selections as compared to Ikea. Don't get me wrong though, it still has many household items, decorations, furniture, and bedding, etc. Staff is friendly and parking is moderately spacious with other stores nearby. Do look at their flyers first before coming here, you can find some good deals. Bought myself MGM Grand bedding sheets that make me feel like i'm sleeping on clouds for at least 20% off. I don't regret the purchase. Not only do they have seasonal decorations but unique stuff as well. You'd have to spend sometime looking around, most definitely you'll be coming out with one item. Recommended for anyone looking to style up their household or room. Take your time when your in here, or shop online before coming in.
