Mah ... It's a Walmart. It has what you need, when you need it, that's it. Don't expect anything…read moremore. Also, it's a supercentre, so if you are like seeing those really cool refrigerators that turn the light on when you walk in front of them, this is the store to see them in. That's it.

I was so busy with the organization that I made the choice of the next day delivery on Thursday, with Friday expectations. Woke Friday to a notice saying there was some sort of delay, delivery Saturday. Not the end of the world. Then, to my surprise, a change. It was on the Purolator truck headed for Milton. 8:19. Phewww. 11:34 he pulls into the parking lot (I assume) and the unit number isn't on his information. It was in messages and my phone number was on the delivery info. I notice he'd come and gone just after noon. Of course, I'm all over Purolator explaining that the site wouldn't accept the unit number, a single digit...it just wouldn't. Here we are, party day. Guest arrived and essentially packed for departure tomorrow...this wasn't a holiday. It was an event. No gift that everyone participated in the purchase of. The original message of change was delivery Saturday, delayed, Friday had been passed over. Now...the actual Saturday after being out for delivery Friday...the message is "to be delivered Monday". Confused yet. To simplify, "too little, too late." I don't know who to blame. The site wouldn't accept the unit number. Not sure why it knew there was a unit involved...but, they could have called on arrival and it was in the information. Their site wasn't working. Two people. Two long flights. They need to return to work for Monday. Who to blame and what is the compensation for this graduation party nightmare?

However, other than slight organisational differences, I still…read morecan't fully explain the difference between Winners. ;) Sections that I love shopping from are: Housewares (candles, looking at furniture), Gourmet Foods (tea/coffee - pretty cheap!, snacks), & Beauty Dept. I can shop at Marshalls without even glancing at the clothing section! This particular Marshalls, however, does NOT have a "Red Carpet" section which consists of designer goods. So based on that sheer difference alone, the Heartland location is much better! Even the shoes at this location were of inferior quality. Even though this location was dead, there was a bit of a wait in the communal line. Only 2 cashiers on duty, but the one who served me was quite friendly!

The "other Marshalls"…read morestores (I called a few in the GTA) had no problem looking up the size but, this location said " we no longer do floor checks". Clearly, this store's manager must have cataracts for it was not SAKS or Bloomingdales. Being "uppity" is NOT called for. A simple look down the coat isle was not going to hurt the sales person momentum at 2pm in the day. Future suggestions: 1. Be consistent with other stores. 2. Offer better customer service. Don't get arrogant many stores did e.g. Eatons, Sears, Mexx, Danier, Nine West, etc. 3. Get rid of the manager/ or coat section sale person.

Saks OFF 5TH - They sell second hand luxury brands from LXR and Co at this location. Each bag was still over $1000, lol.

This…read moreparticular Saks Off 5th outlet replaced the old Hudson's Bay outlet, and can be found right across from the Brooks Brothers, Guess, and Kate Spade outlet stores, in the western portion of the outlet plaza. Overall, a bit disappointing. Some products also looked suspiciously similar to the stock on the shelves when the Hudson's Bay outlet was still around a few months ago. Granted, they did move some things around. The shoe section is now at the back, and a wider accessories section is now located to the right of the store (includes watches). There's a bit of a slightly (but very, very slightly) more upscale feel than the Hudson's Bay outlet used to have, with some higher-end brands like Valentino, Christian Dior, and Lanvin sparsely spotted at the shoe section or the accessories section - however, be warned that while there area variety of brands, product selection itself is very, very limited, and personally, the products didn't appeal to me at all. Other brands like Rebecca Minkoff (I didn't spot any of her classics - just one-off purses with her name slapped on it) and Marc Jacobs can also be spotted. Steve Madden, Jessica Simpson, Coach, also form a pretty significant portion of the brands that can be found at this location. I also found a Kate Spade purse for $149 at this location, that I found for $129 at the outlet a couple doors down. Overall, pretty underwhelming. I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you could potentially find something that may remotely appeal to you, within a reasonable price range, but while there were a decent amount of brands available, selection within each brand was disappointing. The store overall didn't feel anything special, and felt way too remarkably similar to other department stores in the GTA. If you want a more upscale feel, head to the actual Saks Fifth Avenue at the Eaton Centre/Sherway.
