Went in to schedule an appointment for a quote. I've had vehicles repaired here before and they've always done quality work. This was top of mind when the need arose for a body repair quote. The receptionist/front desk person was very welcoming and nice. No issues scheduling an appointment to return. When I arrived at my scheduled time, I was greeted and told the gentleman who would assess my vehicle damage was currently with another customer and he'd be right with me. That was the last bit of positive interaction I would have. The gentleman assigned to give me a quote was just rude. No other way to put it. Basically accused me of insurance fraud. I was there because another company had taken responsibility for the damage to my vehicle and requested quotes to repair/replace the damage they had caused. I'm not sure that I'll ever go back, or recommend them to anyone. 3 stars because I know they're capable of quality work, and don't "half ass" anything. They took care of me in the past, but don't think they'll get the opportunity in the future. read more

They not only fixed my car perfectly, but they also allowed me to replace the old headlights with brand-new Alpharex ones. When one finds a gem of a place it has to be shared. I drove to at least 5 body shops before I landed at Winstead. Beautiful garage, clean, wonderful staff from body shop associates to the most important front desk and office staff. I stopped to ask about two small items I needed repaired on my vehicle and wanting to make an appointment. One item was replacing a driver side rear view mirror and the other installing a driver side visor. They did both right there on the spot. The mirror was actually fixable and the visor I had already purchased. This was a first for me and I appreciated them so much for resolving these two issues. They were all professional and the best body shop I have been to in the Fort Worth area. I know this was a God wink -- He led me right to their front door and I was so thankful and grateful. read more

I thought Car looked great when we got it back. Dealer did not think so. Paint didn't match, brush marks on the door. I cannot get the car certified at the dealer to sell , so I have to wholesale it. Honda place said there was no bulb it was just an amber reflector ... come on I know my car... 3 weeks ago I took a set of headlights to Winstead Paint And Body in Ft Worth to be installed in my Corvette. The lights that I brought them were freshly repainted and resealed by a local audio shop owner who does C6 lights on the side. Winstead installed the lights in my car in about 1 day. When I got the car home I realized that there were rocks and dirt inside the lights. I called them the next morning and they said to bring it back in and they'll try to get it taken care of. So I dropped it off the following morning and they proceeded to take the lights back off the car and get the rocks and dirt out. I got a call a few hours after I dropped it off and they notified me that they would have to remove the lenses in order to clean out all of the debris. I agreed to that due to wanting my headlights to be as nice as when I dropped them off originally. They sent them off to a local custom headlight builder to take them apart. They called me about a day or so later and told me that the paint was all scratched up in the housing and then offered to repaint them whatever color I so desired. I agreed to this as well. A few more days go by, the paint is done (and done very well) and they send them back to the headlight builder to be resealed. After they got them back from the headlight builder they noticed that there was scratches inside the lenses and some fingerprints. They called me and explained the situation and said that the local headlight builder claims there was no way he did it because he "doesn't touch the inside of the lenses", but the body shop agreed with me that those marks were not there to begin with. They then offered to order me new lenses that way I wasn't leaving with a product that was in worse shape than when I dropped it off. Well a few more days go by and the headlight builder tells them that he's all out of sealant for the lights and it'll be a few days until he gets it. The sealant finally arrives and he puts them back together and promises to have them at the body shop Tuesday morning (this morning). He then doesn't show up with the lights until this afternoon. The body shop continued to roll with the punches though and got my car back together in about 3 hours. Now this may sound like I'm saying never go to Winstead Paint and Body. But it's quite the opposite. Even though my car was down for 3 weeks for something as simple as a headlight, they fixed every single issue that arose and didn't complain or ask for me to cover any of the cost. I greatly appreciate the work Jason and Clay from Winstead put in for me in order to make this right. If you've made it this far, thanks for sticking with me. There were so many good reviews for Winstead that we decided to have them fix our car after we were rear-ended. While they did do a good job on the vehicle, we were sorely disappointed with the customer service. Unfortunately, they had empty promises the entire 6 weeks it was there. They had our vehicle for 43 days, 32 business days. Which might have been okay if they had not been dishonest the entire way about the status of the vehicle. After week 1 we called them and they said they were ordering parts and they hoped to be done by the end of week 2. Friday of week 2 WE called them and they said it wasn't ready but should be on Tuesday. On Tuesday WE called them and they said it was taking longer but it would be ready that Friday. Friday of week 3 they said all they had to do was paint it and it would be done so it would be ready Tuesday. Tuesday of Week 4 WE called them and they said they had to order more parts for the car (even though they had just said all it needed was paint) and they should be done by the end of the week. Friday of Week 4 they said they just had to have the Toyota dealership rewire the camera and electronics and they would have it back on Monday. Monday of Week 5 they say that it is back at their shop but they were having difficulties with putting the bumper on or something and it would be ready Friday. Friday when we called they said it would be ready Monday. On Monday of week 6 we called them and they said that we could pick it up Tuesday. FINALLY we were able to pick the vehicle up. We are easy going people who understand that things happen. However, this was too much. They were dishonest and had one excuse after the other. They did do a good job on the vehicle, it looks great, however we do NOT recommend them and won't use them again. Infact, we would have picked the car up and gone elsewhere but we weren't paying for it, the insurance of the car that hit us was paying for it. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I found it sort of by chance, but I am so glad that I did. I had a minor dent in my fender, and other places that I visited quoted +$1000 to fix it. These guys replaced the fender for less than half of the price the other places suggested, and it only took about a week! They were super friendly, too. Winstead repaired damage to my truck. A few weeks later I saw were it was not done exactly correct. So, when I took it back in they schedule a time for me to bring it back in, arranged for a rental car for free. They made sure it was done perfect.
