My 2003 Saturn Vue was towed to this shop on July 22, 2025 with a red engine light on. Another shop who had done a lot of expensive work on my vehicle for the last couple of years refused to work on it because he thought it needed a new CVT transmission. I didn't know anything about Auto Car Care Center's shop, but after speaking to Jeff, the owner, on the phone prior to the tow, I felt he could handle the problem. Jeff worked on my vehicle with the true knowledge of a Saturn's components the other shop never showed me even though they touted being Saturn specialists. Jeff, by far, is a true Saturn specialist. With his determination, he fixed my transmission issue by installing a remanufactured valve body. While there, he noticed a hesitation when starting the vehicle, and then he recommended a new fuel pump and seal. I finally got the call that my vehicle was "ready to take on the world". No problems since I left that shop! I cannot recommend this shop enough! After personally owning and operating a classic vehicle restoration shop for 35 years, I can attest that Jeff operates his shop with honesty, a high level of professionalism, a vast auto parts' knowledge and always keeps the cost of the job down for the customer. Great all around. I called w/ a dead car and they directed me to a quick tow. They explained things on the phone well and even called to ask for the code for the radio to restore that (battery issue so the electrical went out and the radio has to be reset). I wondered if they'd have time to look at it the same day (It was after 10am) and they said they'd have it DONE the same day! They were right - it was done about 5 hours later! They explained it was just the cable for the battery and basically a $13 part repair! The bulk of the cost was the (third-party) towing. If they had called with a $500 bill I would have been happy it wasn't $1000. When you find a shop like this, you just hope they don't get too busy to help you in the future... but you want the best for them! THANKS!!! read more

If you are like me and you: 1) Don't have an excessively affluent family which dotes free cars on you, 2) Don't like to spend the majority of your income on the payment for a fancy car, 3) and you fear the inevitable demise of your low budget vehicle, then when your A/C breaks, your radiator cracks, a fan belt snaps, and your car has apparently burnt off all the oil it once had, you may be contemplating cutting your losses and moving on to the next best thing you can find on Craigslist. Alas, there is hope! I took my upset little Kia into the Family Car Care Center (their rear sign still says "Strictly Foreign Auto Repar" - they're going through a name change) and was stunned when Jeff told me it would only run me about $450 to fix all of the above mentioned issues. I've heard the saying once that, "An honest mechanic is a poor one," but thank goodness this company is still getting by and offering their quality services at inconceivable rates. I have taken my car there a few times now and have received nothing less than outstanding service. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. read more

I had an issue with the plastic in my wheel well coming loose and scratching my tire and causing some wiring to come loose and they repaired it on the spot and for FREE! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! I'll try to be as fair as I can here and not use Hyper bole. I brought my Xterra in because my battery went dead. I pretty much new what it was. My main pulley is old and loose and so my belts lessened up, I started to smell burning rubber because my belts weren't tight enough. With the loose belts my fan for my AC wasn't blowing hard enough and my AC stopped blowing cold air. They forgot to call me so I walked back over around 4:30pm and noticed my hood was up but nothing had been done. I walked in and he said, "Yup, you need three new belts and a new battery" I said, I don't think so, let's go take a look at it. We looked we talked, he brought out a jumper battery and my car started right up. We could see the main pulley wobbling, I said it needs to be tightened. He said let's check the battery to see if it needs replacing. With loose belts the battery amp meter showed 12.5 amps his response was, "well it should be 14 amps I said well then go tightened the belts and let's check again. He pulled the Xterra in at 4:40pm had it tightened by 5pm and the battery amp meter showed 13.9 amps New battery huh? As for new belts, two of the belts were less then six months old. This happened mid July 2016 Needless to say I will not be using them again not recommending. Buyer beware read more

It was a simple break job for the front wheels of my f150 since the old ones were pulsating. Changed rotors and pads. 1 week later, the new brakes did the same thing. Brought the truck back and they said it was due to bad parts from manufacturer and put another set of rotors (long wait, but no charge). 2 weeks later, breaks make a really bad grinding noise. Took the truck to a different place. They had installed the pads improperly (both inside pads on one wheel and both outside pads on the other wheel). I now need to replace the pads once more and probably the rotor. I'd rather pay out of pocket than going back to there! read more
