But it was just one of those days (that is how he explained it to me and he also apologized). I did not feel rushed with him at all, which was pleasant because since he had been so late to my appointment, I'm sure he was late for everyone else's. But he still did not rush!. He was very polite and accommodating of the hearing condition I may or may not have. We had a long discussion about what I was diagnosed with, surgery, my next steps, etc.. He even showed me exactly what the issue was and then gave me a whole pamphlet and explained it in depth making sure that I fully understand everything. I have had some pretty god awful experiences with different doctors. This was not one of them at all. I will be following up with him a few times so I will see how those appointments go; but for now, it is a 5 star all around rating! I'm so happy to have chosen this doctor!

Most doctors simply don't care enough given their busy schedule. And, of course, if you look at his resume, you can be assured that he knows what he's doing. Also, the nurse/administrator that was handling my father's case was REALLY awesome. She's now the head of another department I think but I just wanted to mention how great she was. She kept calling my father's insurance company until the surgery was approved because Aetna was being such a pain in the butt. Really went out of the way to make us happy. Dr. Payman placed the ear tube incorrectly inside my eardrum which caused me pain and suffering and permanent hearing loss. After returning to his office for months and complaining about the pain and hearing loss from his botched ear tube placement, he finally pulled the tube out of my eardrum. Although Dr. Payman's damage to my eardrum was already done. A month later at a new ENT doctors office, I was told the doctor who placed the tube inside my right eardrum, over-cut my ear drum as much as 3x larger then a eardrum needs to be cut for a eartube. He is great always friendly and helpful. I drive almost 40 miles just so I can see Dr Guido. I would highly recommend Neurology associates for anyone needing a top notch neurologist. Timeline of events: March 18, 2025 -- An appointment was scheduled for my mother for November 12, 2025. I specifically requested that my phone number be used for all communication and received a text confirmation. Dr. Frank was recommended by my mother's primary care physician (also part of HMH). Because Dr. Frank was booking a year out, we scheduled with Dr. Lage instead. Despite this, both physicians were listed online as "accepting new patients," even though Dr. Frank had an extended wait, Dr. Lage was nearing retirement, and the newly hired physician had not yet started. October 22, 2025 -- The office left a voicemail on my mother's phone rather than mine; the message cut off after stating the office name. I did not discover this voicemail until November 13. When I called, I was told the appointment had been canceled due to Dr. Lage's retirement. This cancellation was not documented in MyChart. November 12, 2025 -- My elderly parents arrived for the appointment and were told it had been canceled. My mother was then rescheduled for January 22, 2026 with Dr. Niaz, who we were told would be joining the practice in early January. January 20, 2026 -- With no reminder text and no appointment listed in MyChart, I called again and was told the appointment had been canceled because Dr. Niaz had not yet started at that location. I was instructed to call back in two weeks to attempt to schedule an appointment in April--nearly a year after our initial attempt to establish care. During this time, my mother's memory has continued to decline. At no point were we proactively notified of these cancellations or offered an appointment at another location where Dr. Niaz is already practicing. This lack of communication caused repeated confusion, wasted time, and unnecessary stress for my elderly parents. So much frustration for me... This level of disorganization and poor communication is unacceptable, particularly when caring for older patients. Central Jersey Neurology Associates and Hackensack Meridian Health must do better. Patients deserve accurate scheduling, timely communication, and basic respect.

I suffer from severe migraines which can and often does last from one to two months. It's hard to get an initial appointment but it's definitely worth it. The waiting room is a bit of a wait but they offer plenty of magazines for you to enjoy. The staff is very kind and they often call me when there's a cancellation so that I can see the specialist sooner either by date or time. The specialists I see is David Frank, MD is very thorough as he asks you a series of questions, listen and employ the most effective means to help control your disorders. They accept must insurance plans but I'd call to confirm if yours is accepted.

Very thorough is an excellent quality, but I think being very inconsiderate of your patient's time is very disrespectful and very wrong.
