I called Harris Electric because a neighbor said they are great, and I wasn't disappointed. Mr. Harris came out on a Sunday morning and expertly installed the Level 2 charger I had ordered from Amazon.. That was 5 months ago, and the charger continues to work like a charm. Mr. Harris is now our "go to" electrician. I highly recommend his work.

I found Harris Electrical, saw they were a local DC company with great reviews, and decided to reach out. I texted the numbers listed and learned they're brothers, Mike and Max Harris, carrying on the business their dad started. I texted them at 6 a.m. and got an immediate response. They asked for pictures of the breaker and the issue, diagnosed it quickly, and offered same-day service. Communication was incredibly easy and clear, all by text. Max arrived right on time, identified the short, and fixed it efficiently. They were professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and honestly just great to work with. I can't speak more highly of them. This is exactly the kind of trustworthy local business you want in DC. Highly recommend Harris Electrical.

I can't recommend them more, what a great experience…read more Mr. Jose Fuentes responded to my project request within a few minutes, was incredibly professional, friendly, and clear with his availability and pricing. I posted the project request late Monday night and he had every thing done within 24 hours.. Not only did he take care of splitting our laundry room outlet and moving the washer & dryer outlets down (so we can install a countertop), he also put an outlet in for our dishwasher. That wasn't part of the original request and he still took care of it same day. My partner does most of the renovation and construction work in our home. Mr. Fuentes was kind enough to show him exactly how he did everything and actually TEACH him as he worked. He didn't need to do that, but he deeply cares about providing the best service to his clients. He even offered to answer questions via text if my partner was working on something electrical. Can't thank Call Pro Power and Mr. Fuentes enough! We've already recommended him to friends and have asked him to come back out to fix someone else's bad electrical work. He's clearly very knowledgeable and friendly enough to break it down to you. We appreciate his help!

Mike did an amazing job repairing our leaky basement window! I reached out via email to show some…read morepictures of the damage. He replied back with an estimate and some times he could come out. He showed up on time, examined the window with me and laid out a plan for the repair. After working on it for a bit he brought me back down for an update: there was a lot more water damage than we expected. We made a new plan to replace more of the frame. There were a couple more surprises that kept expanding the job (more rotten wood, an old rats nest in the wall above the removed window, brick damage caused by the rotten beam bowing and not supporting the bricks above the window properly). The job ended up being a lot bigger and more expensive than expected (2.5 day job rather than 0.5 day; billing is by the hour and very straightforward), but I couldn't be happier with the work and the process. Rather than a quick patch job I ended up with a solid, long-term fix. Here are a few more reflections on working with Mike: -Great communication. Mike gave me frequent updates, walking me through what he found and what the options were. -I never felt like I was being upsold. Mike was very collaborative and empathetic when showing me problems and discussing solutions. -Mike's knowledge and skillset goes deep. If this had been a simple window sealant job with a frame board replacement I'm sure he (and probably lots of other handymen) would handle it great. But as we peeled back the onion and found more complexity it became clear how well he understands houses and how to make them work the way they're supposed to. Mike and Renaissance will definitely be my go-to for future handyman / painting / renovations needs. Thank you Mike!

We suggested that he turn off the circuit breaker but he said there was no need. He took the light switch off and got shocked. Mike continued and the lights went on. We Venmoed him $140 for time and labor. Twelve hours later, the LR ceiling lights went out along with two lamps that had been working perfectly before Mike's repair. We called him. He told us to buy another replacement switch and said he would return to fix it. He didn't We e-mailed him three times, asking that he refund the money we paid. It's now July 8th. He has never answered. We have hired a licensed electrician to ensure Mike's fix did not make the wiring unsafe, install new wiring if it isn't, to repair the light switch and the blown outlets. We intend to pursue this further and, should we ever receive the refund due us, we will add an update. We cannot recommend Renaissance Handyman & Painting and hope this review saves someone else a bad experience.
