The greens were pretty well kept and the tee boxes were in decent shape as well. For an ~$50 course to ride, the quality was aligned with the cost. It's *mostly* walkable but there's a few very steep paved paths you need to walk up and down so definitely be aware of that before committing to walk! The driving range isn't great, it's an unkept field that borders the overflow parking without a net so it definitely doesn't offer any protection from shanks! I definitely wouldn't park my car bordering the driving range! Everyone working in the clubhouse was knowledgeable and friendly. They have two greens on one of the holes and the woman working was very helpful in explaining how to play for our first time.

I like to try out new courses that are a little bit of a drive. You never know what you will discover. Timber Creek overall was a nice playing experience - inexpensive green fees and refreshments, easy to get on, well maintained. The clubhouse is a little basic. The driving range is very nice - grass tees. It is walkable except for a few huff and puff hills on each 9. There are an average amount of water hazards; some of the fairways were squishy from recent rain in the lower areas. There are a couple of blind shots off the tee so you need a gps or score card from the course (vs keeping score on your phone app). There is one series of holes I think 12/13/14 that are not as well designed - sortof forced into the space. Other than that, a nice layout worth a try.

It was a nice warm sunny spring day, which may be why the park was quite crowded with people enjoying it. Lots of walkers, joggers, cyclists, and even a rollerblader were making their way around the lake on the 3.125 mile loop. The loop is broken into two paths, with the outermost ring for higher moving traffic like bicycles. Both are paved and in good condition. I'll admit, it was a bit busier than I'd've liked. I like my nature hikes to feel more isolated and peaceful, but I still always appreciate public spaces designed for recreation for the surrounding populace. We parked up at the north end and noticed on our walk that were was also parking available on the south end and the west side. Also on the west side is the beach house and beach access, a kiddie playground, and a peace garden. When the lake is frozen over, many "thin ice" signs will be placed about to warn folks of danger. Due to seasonality, every toilet we came across was locked up. Thankfully there was one large port-a-potty in the parking lot on the north end.

We set up a tee time for 12:50 @ LOGGER'S TRAIL in Stillwater. The web site indicated $65.00 for golf and $19.00 X 2 for a cart. When we checked in at the course they charged us $84.00 plus tax +$19.00 X 2 for a cart. At best I would call this false advertising. Maybe they took advantage of the nice weather that day & just gouged that days players. No Sr. pricing was offered as well. I couldn't just let this go, I felt the golfing public should be aware. LOGGER'S TRAIL will never see our group again! Maybe they don't care. BE AWARE!! P.s.....$38.00 for a cart is also a rip!! It is smooshed in by the airport and the planes are NON-STOP, so if you're looking for something quite this is NOT the course. (I personally found it fun to watch planes take of and land all afternoon!) I believe they were having trouble keeping it open so they opened a disc golf course ON the golf course. Its a little confusing because the tee signs for both look the same but the numbers don't line up. There was no one playing disc golf while we were there so I'm not sure how well they work together - I'm sure it's fine as long as everyone is respectful!

The greens rolled true. There is definitely water and sand challenges beyond the length. I never found myself in the sand but did find the water on the long par 3s where you had to fly the water to reach the green. Carts had GPS. There were also beverage carts along the course. They have a really nice turn to get food and beverages if you choose. Your green fee includes a small range ball basket. They also have chipping and putting greens for practice. Someone greeted us at the bag drop and loaded up a cart for us. Very nice staff and loved the course.

If you are a beginner, this is a great course to learn on. For the more experienced golfer, this is a fun course for a quick game. They also have league play, which is a great way to meet other golfers. Try this course out!
