ordered a cord of firewood from these guys. delivery was good. as I got to stacking it we had 4 wheelbarrows full of bark, sawdust and wood slivers. awful! I expect some but this was ridiculous. I also don't even think there was a full cord. terrible service. would not recommend this service to anyone. read more

I called and wanted to buy 2 face cords of wood delivered. My father lives 5 houses away from me. They insisted on charging 2 delivery fee. Doesn't seem right. The women didn't seem to really care. Said thats the way the owner is. 1 truck going to 1 street with 1 driver. If they would of said I had to pay a dump fee or something ok but not 2 full deliveries. read more

Great place to buy firewood!! Pull up, say Hi to the Golden Retriever that comes out to greet you, fill your car with wood, and leave your $ in the box. I usually get a yard (I think that is how it is measured) of Oak for $25. Great deal since the gas station will sell you 5 pieces for $5.99. I am told they will also deliver if you wish. Not sure on the pricing on that. Grabbing a car full of wood is easy, owners/employees are alwasy friendly. If you are looking for mulch or stone they have that too! PS. FTR!!!!!! read more

They certainly no longer provide free delivery. Don't know about other services mentioned by other reviews here. I ordered a half cord in mid- Dec and was very happy with the hardwood, delivery and beautiful stacking. Glad to think I had a new, fantastic firewood source. I put in an identical order last week. Got a call that night saying they were sold out and that I needed to buy a face cord of kiln-dried, which was slightly more expensive. I was reluctant but accepted. I was told the delivery would be in afternoon, hopefully not too late. They arrived before noon....it was a good idea I HADN'T stepped out. What I ended up with was a stacked mess in my garage and $200+ of basic balsa wood. 95% of the wood is so light, I am forced to add 3-4 'logs' literally every 15-20 minutes to keep the fire going. I don't know if I got the dregs or if this is typical for kiln dried, but it's unbelievably crappy. As a test, I put 8 (the max I could) logs on a scale and it registered no weight! I got a reading only after pressing down on the wood to force the scale to move. This entire test is fully documented, please ask and I'll share video and photos. Meanwhile, I called to complain and got non-answers from the woman who answered the phone. The staff are always courteous when I've spoken to them. I'm not suggesting they were rude. I simply wished she'd have a better explanation, a willingness for someone to come take a look, some sort of effort to try to keep what could have been an excellent customer. I burn a fire for several hours every day...hence going through a half cord in less than 3 weeks. A face cord of this crap was half gone in 2 days. This is totally unacceptable to me, but based on their unwillingness to do anything about it, I must assume it's normal for them. Now I have to find somewhere else. I just moved into a home with a NFP. I really wished these guys would care.... read more

They do not measure the amount of wood they sell you, but rather consider 'one scoop' of wood equivalent to one face cord. What they claim that they sell you is not what they provide. 1 full cord = 8' x 4' x 4' = 128 cubic feet. More than once my full cord purchase was well short of this amount. I will not be buying from them again and recommend anyone who purchase from them measure the amount that is delivered. read more

Ordered half cord mixed hardwood kiln dried. Received small pieces and logs that were two or three inch diameter. Wood is still "wet" as I listen to it hiss in the fireplace and struggle to keep burning. Delivery was prompt and set in desired location. However if advertised "kiln dried" and charging extra for "kiln dried" wood should burn effortlessly... Would not order from again. read more

When I called to order wood, I made my needs very clear: large pieces only because I have a starter in my fireplace and did not need kindling. I also wanted nice smelling wood. Half way through the stack it dawned on me that I had very few large pieces. Maybe 1/3 were of any size at all and the rest were kindling. It looked to me like leftovers after all the large pieces were given to someone else. Also the smell of the wood was no different than any other wood. They told me they had given me cherry and another fragrant wood which I have now forgotten the name of. They said that these woods come in smaller pieces. The problem is that they should have told me these would be smaller pieces. I only wanted large pieces. So, $250 later I did not have what I wanted. Word to the wise: check the wood before they leave. I would have refused it read more
