Suffice to say, when I announced to my mother I'd be getting a haircut, and she asked me where, and I said "the mall" she pleaded with me to go somewhere--anywhere--else. I lamented "but there are no places!!!" Then she told about this place, which is next to where she gets her haircut (which is a salon and therefore not applicable to me, though she does get great cuts there). I decided to give it a whirl. I arrived while the lone barber was working on someone else. It was awkward at first because I didn't know the protocol--do I tell him I don't have an appointment? Do I tell him I'm just here for a haircut? Ask if anyone else is available? i opted for "just sit down and avert your gaze. When the barber finished with the current customer, he did some sort of barber cape shake thing, and announced "next up." So, I hung my jacket up and took my seat. The barber would ask me what I want and I described it as best I could (keeping in mind i've never gotten exactly what I want, so saying "like I have it now, but shorter and cleaner wouldn't work."), and he got to work. I watched my head transform from random mess to "the head a person has." It was a great experience from a true professional. And just when I thought I was done, I got the straight razor clean around the ears, some lotion, powder, annnnnnd we're done. Not only was it the best haircut I've ever had, but it was the best haircut I've ever had and it only cost $20. I'll be back often.

At first I had walked into nearby Supercuts where they only had one person cutting and a line of about 4 people...so I ditched and walked over here. This place had 5 people cutting hair (or standing by to cut when needed) at 430pm on a Friday. I walked in and a lady got up from a chair in the back right away and took me instead of letting me wait for one of the 3 people already cutting. Adequate staffing for a high-demand period scored them points with me! There was little to no conversation going on like there is in most barber shops though so it felt eerily like a zombie-filled ghost-town The haircut only took about 8-minutes, which on a Friday was great, as I don't want to spend all afternoon in the barbers chair. The haircut looks good, and only cost $12 total. My complaint is that the lady didn't shave my neck (or the area below where the actual hair is and above the shirt). Apparently this place doesn't neck shave. When she finished cutting my hair she pulled the gown off of me as if to say you're done and I put my hand to the back of my neck and said what about this?? She then put it back on me, used a machine to buzz the back of my neck and then sent me on my way. This was the part that I am NOT happy about -- because a real barber should get out a damn razor and shave your neck, leaving a nice crisp line and a clean neck below! --JSW

We came for the talent because everyone that works here does a great job and really listens to what we ask - and now it's just a whole great experience to come. They take walk-ins and have great hours so we never have to wait long. I have a 10 year old and 7 year old and highly recommend for kids cuts!

She was talented, professional, and actually cared about her clients. My sister and I both only trusted her, everyone else there has either messed up my hair or just didn't seem to know what they were doing. The worst haircut I ever got was actually from the manager herself, years ago. She barely paid attention to me or my hair, hardly said a word to me, and instead was chatty with everyone else in the salon except the person sitting in her chair... me. It felt extremely rude and unprofessional. Letting Rosina go for a ridiculous reason was a HUGE mistake on their part. She was the sole reason I ever came back, and without her, I won't be returning.
