Worst ER I've been to and needs to be investigating. Especially the way the ER nurses treat patients. Flat out ridiculous. Yelling at patients. Not getting them meds on time. Disappearing for hours. Do not go to this hospital they make actually kill you. At least the ED might. read more

Dr. Choo and her staff are very efficient and competent. I was not happy to be seeing a cardiologist, but they made the whole process as nice as possible. Dr. Choo is such a direct and empathetic person, it is a pleasure to be treated by her. read more

I imagine we have all had some kind of negative experience in a hospital. OR, maybe not! My stay here was great from start to finish. The staff was friendly and explained everything as we went along. The surgeon told me exactly what to expect, and he was right. He said there would be a LOT of pain afterwards, and he was right! Walking as soon as possible was mandatory, and they stick to the rules! I had to walk the hallway loop 20 times before they would discharge me. Thank goodness for pain pills! Again, the staff was just super, and took care of my every need. They even brought me popsicles! Cold and soothing. No gripes about anything, but I'm in no rush to return! read more

I left a message with the Wise Health Dermatology clinic four days ago that I am in agony with the fluorouracil (topical chemotherapy) treatment to my face. My message remains unanswered. I'm must call my primary care physician, fortunately not with Wise Health Systems. Like many others, I strongly dis-recommend this group. read more

The wise health system had a shortage of lidocaine for their surgeries, so they didn't add any or added very little to the propofol so you could go to sleep, without your arm burning. They don't tell you this and your arm will burn like fire when they're ready to administer for your sleep sedation. By then it's too late,and you have to suffer the consequences until the propofol wants to take affect. All hospitals use lidocaine in their propofol to keep things comfortable as you go to sleep. This is a very poor practice of any hospital. Who does this method. I do not recommend this hospital for any kind of surgery. read more

Two thumbs up for the Labor & Delivery staff today. They were the absolute best to deal with in a scary situation - false alarm - but they treated my daughter with care and professionalism. I've never seen hospital staff so above and beyond! read more

Stay away if you can. If you can't watch your bill closely!!! I was charge for services not received. Then those charges were removed from insurance claim but they included the charges in amount collected from me on bill. Over charged $300+. I have made several calls and even drove to main billing office. Each time I am told give them 2 weeks to get it corrected. It has been almost 2 years now of same delays. Thousands of patient records were compromised in a recent data breach. Not only is this unacceptable, but in my opinion, negligent. Although I have been a patient, I was not notified of the breach, I had to read about it via the web. read more

If their was a hospital anywhere near besides this one I would go their!!!The staff are awful!I recently had to spend some time at this facility due to the fact that my 82 year old grandmother with dementia fell and broke her hip.She had surgery and was doing well when I left to go home ,however after we left my mother revived a call that my grand mothers health was deteriorating.The nurse that called my mother sounded frantic and completely freaked her out.Not five minutes later the doctor called and told her he gave my grandmother medicine to help with the issue.We arrived at the hospital and she ended up being okay however she was completely passed out and wouldn't wake up.Later on in the day we found out she was sleeping so much because the hospital had OVERDOSED her on pain medication.They gave her so much medicine that they had to give her THREE doses of Narcan.The staff also freaked me out severely because when she was in the icu they keeps looking at us through the window and whispering.Later on my mother got back to the hospital and my grandmother was reading numbers of a screen and repeating the she was hurting.My mother went out and their was no nurses at the nursing station.she eventually found some one and asked for a menu she grandma could eat and to find her nurse so she could get medicine.After a while my mother saw a menu by the nurses station and started looking at it when the nurse got defensive about calling to her a menu.When my mother mentioned the pain again the nurse just repeated oh she knows over and over again.The hospital then tried to send my grandmother home from the ICU back to her nursing home with out any physical therapy after she has had HIP SURGERY!My mother has talked to multiple people and all of them have acted like she will not be getting therapy.In fact both this hospital and her nursing home have tried to strong arm my mother about physical therapy.Multiple times the staff has spoken to our family as if we are stupid.Once they moved my grandmother upstairs they didn't even hook her up to a monitor , their isn't even a monitor in her room.Her nurse also never checks on her, the technician lady is the one who checked on her not even a nurse.The technician was very sweet though.I would never recommend going here if you have a option. read more

My family will never go back here. They did a knee replacement on my husband His knee does not work after 10 months even with a surgical intervention. The device is too big for his knee. They bill you with numerous account number. Their customer service reps refuse to help you with the ins companies All around poor experience. My advice is to stay clear of them read more

There is a love hate with this facility. On one hand once admitted into the hospital the staff is amazing and rooms are nice. My complaint comes with the emergency area. The facility is state of the art and offers in house every possible service you could ever need but in several trips over the years it seems that in many cases there is a very lax pursuit of timely response. On numerous trips with different family members they have sat without response sometimes for hours once In the room. On one instance the doctor literally said the nurse would be right in and over and hour passed before I finally had to walk outside to ask for assistance for my family member only to be told the nurse had left for break. No communication in this area or rather the communication had a breakdown between doctor and nurses. Another instance very similar only to walk out and have numerous nurses sitting and talking about personal things instead of helping anyone. Again the facility is nice at the hospital itself and post admission I have no issues but the er I feel needs a huge overhaul read more

I went to the ER a few days ago, lot of pain, throwing up, blood in my stool. The nurse I had(wish I could remember her name) was so rude. I was crying because in so much pain. I asked for something for pain and of course she said no until I saw a PA or Dr. PA Carol came in and was very rude, my husband tried to explain something to her and she said shhhh. She ordered Tylenol. Tylenol doesn't even work on a headache. I usually have a good experience at this hospital, long story short I left worse than when I came in. She wouldn't give me nausea meds or pain meds. Refuse to see this PA. read more

I grew up in Decatur, and it's amazing to see how much this place has grown and improved since being in the brown building across hwy 51. Every time I've been here, the staff are super nice and helpful. Our middle child was born here. The birthing center is awesome. Really great experience. Especially for a smaller town. They also have a fitness center that is nice as well. Very good hospital, ER, and medical staff. read more

I was visiting the Texas Back Institute nearby and TBI's xray machine was broken (which would have been covered under the already negotiated visit price). Wise offered to do a radiograph, and only after the picture was taken, did they mention it would be $700 for the radiograph... which was totally unreasonable considering her MRI (a much more advanced picture technology) was $300. They "discounted" it to $400; however, I know of places I could have gotten the same radiograph for less than $100. Wise gouged me and took advantage of my circumstance when they know I didn't have insurance. They have been unwilling to review further. read more

i was there from 9-5-2011 to 9-12-2011 arrived at the emergency room with a infection in my left leg.the doctor told me he would try to save my leg it was that badly infected after sugery i still have my leg.they are the best hospital in the area the nurses are the kindest i have ever had. read more
