We got to do it a room together , they had beds side by side. You go in and change into the robes and get comfortable on the warmed up beds. Then your two ladies who were doing are service came in and began the service. Nice spa music plays in the background, so it's super relaxing and the ladies make sure they are quite so you enjoy the experience. Loved the face part, cleansing and massage, then the neck and shoulder massage was my fave. The head spa part was nice and something I'd never done before. With a scalp massage and wash, my hair felt so clean and hydrated. Then when your done they will rough dry your hair or you can do it yourself. Then they give you one of 12 different soaks that have fresh fruit, herbs, and various oils in a tub covered by a blanket on a chair that engulfs you. The steam is allowing the herbs and fruit to radiate throughout the room creating a serene oasis. Lela did an impeccable job explaining my service and checking on me. I love hot-hot water and she came back and added more even although my next service was starting in 10 mins. That's great customer service. Next was with Desi. She got me situated in the Head Spa chair. I was worried about my comfort but she elevated my legs to allow a perfect alignment. She then gave me a choice of cooling vs heated mask. Raised the music, dimmed the lights and let the water flow. She was gentle and asked about my comfort. I'm not tender headed so I said go for it. Since this was my first time at a Head Spa, I booked: - Rejuvenation 100 minute Head Spa ($275.00) - Blow Dry for Natural & Curly Hair ($60.00) FYI, the blow dry service is not automatically included. If not booked, you will leave with wet hair. My total came to: $335.00 The space was absolutely gorgeous! After checking-in, the hostess provided me a wrap, robe, fuzzy socks and slippers. The wrap/robe is plus size friendly - I was given a 5XL. Cubbies (with and without locks) are provided to store your personal items. After changing, Jayla was at the hostess stand waiting for me. She started with the scalp consultation - utilizing 4 different light to check for blood flow, oil build up, clogged pores etc. It was a strange thing to see a microscopic view of my scalp. We discussed hair products I am currently using as well. Was great being able to speak to her and she was familiar with the black owned brands I was naming. You will return for another analysis to compare before service vs. after service. From there, we went into a separate room for THE SERVICE. The bed was heated, pillow placed under my legs for lower back support and I selected a cooling/weighted mask for my eyes. I truly can not remember the last time I was that relaxed! Jayla was gentle with my hair and her pressure was great for the scalp massage. 10/10 service from her! A quick massage of the shoulder/upper arm is given. My only recommendation is for this to last a little longer. Also, adding a weighted blanket!! The drying/styling station is upstairs (~ 20 steps). Again, Jayla was gentle with my hair. She sectioned my hair for detangling, used a heat protectant and shine serum when complete. It's a hefty price tag. I wanted the experience, so I payed up. I can see myself visiting again. For a second visit, I do not feel another scalp consultation would be necessary and to save money will bypass the blow dry.

So while she was cutting and drilling my nails, she was watching her phone and ended up breaking the edge of my thumb nail after she cut them down. She didn't apologize or say anything she just put nail glue over it and continued. At this point I'm irritated because i see she's not removing my dead skin/cuticles and i tried communicating that but there was lack of understanding. I could've been more aggressive and gotten other people involved but i didn't. At this point i wanted to just finish up and leave. When she started painting i immediately regretted walking in. The paint job was pad. Lumpy, not on the edges of my nail. The simple nail art she agreed to know how to do, she did not. She had to wipe and redo several times. I stayed quiet and let her finish so i could just lay and leave. Overall the nails were $55 and i life $5 tip. I will never return here. More than a week in advance, I booked two separate massage appointments in two separate rooms for my adult son and myself. On the day of our appointment, I received a call informing me that the spa had overbooked and now wanted to place us in the couples massage room together because we share the same last name. My 23-year-old son understandably did not want to receive a massage in the same room as his mother. I explained this clearly. The spa's "solution" was to move one appointment to 4:30 p.m. and offer a 20% discount on only that massage. Unfortunately, this created another problem because we already had dinner reservations at 5:00 p.m. as part of our vacation plans. After several phone calls, the only additional compensation they offered was two glasses of champagne. I even asked whether they could at least add hot stones to my massage for the inconvenience, but the receptionist said she would need manager approval. Multiple times, I requested to speak directly with a manager or supervisor, and each time I was told no one was available. What made this experience especially frustrating was that the manager never bothered to personally get on the phone despite the situation escalating over six separate calls. The receptionist was polite and apologetic, but she was unfairly left to act as the middle person while management remained completely absent. Ultimately, I canceled both appointments and requested that the cancellation fees be waived since this entire issue was caused by the spa's own overbooking mistake. This was supposed to be the relaxing start of our vacation. Instead it became stressful and frustrating. Had they contacted me earlier or handled the situation professionally, I would have had time to book services at another hotel spa. What disappointed me most was not simply the overbooking -- mistakes happen -- but the complete lack of accountability and customer care afterward. We spent part of the first day of our vacation dealing with six phone calls, repeated explanations, and no direct communication from management despite multiple requests. For a luxury hotel spa associated with the JW Marriott brand, I expected significantly better professionalism, problem-solving, and customer service. A manager should have personally addressed the issue and worked to make things right rather than leaving the receptionist to repeatedly relay messages. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations, and I would not recommend this spa based on how this situation was handled.

As far as yoga goes, they offer a variety of classes for folks at different levels, which has allowed me to get back on the mat at my own pace. The teachers are mindful of injuries or other limitations and offer modifications - and in some cases, offer hands-on adjustments if you are comfortable with it. If you're learning, or like me, relearning what I can do as my body ages, this is SO helpful! Moreover, given its location, the pricing is fair, and they have a really nice introductory offer.
