They also lasted much longer than many other arrangements I've received from some others in the past. The first few photos are from 10/4. The others are from 10/11 after some of the others had already opened up. It was a wonderful combination of the two and I appreciate the balance. The only 2 cons I know of with this experience: 1. My MIL purchased them online through a 3rd party site (she can't remember which) and apparently paid extra for them to be delivered before 1pm. They were delivered between 3 and 4 when we were gone. The delivery person did call us when we didn't answer the door and mentioned that ordering through that 3rd party site was sometimes problematic as in they didn't know of the early delivery option. Which leads me to... 2. If you look up Martin's Florist directly, there is no way to order online from them directly. The website doesn't even list bouquet options. Only the ability to ask for a quote and call to order. For someone like me who often shops for these things in the evening and wants a good idea of how a bouquet will look, this is off-putting. In fact, I found this out when I tried to order from them about a month later. Ultimately ended up ordering from another business online because of it. Overall, I do recommend this florist bc as far as flowers go I was very impressed.

I told him what I was looking for & I saw some of the purple flowers in an arrangement they had in their refrigerator. He couldn't tell me the name of the flower. He was guessing. The arrangement that they had included red roses. It was tiny & he wanted $30 for it. I wasn't interested in the roses, so I left. The fact that he didn't even know the name of the flower was an issue for me. I won't go back.

I expect a minimum of manners and appreciation of my business. I found the opposite here. I called for a last minute order for Valentine's Day for my mother. It also happens to be the anniversary of my Father's death. I asked if they had an arrangement around $65. He said "not much for that price"... funny because their website has categories according to Price. Under 50, $50-$60, $60-$80. He suggested something and I agreed, gave him the address. When he realized it was a gated community, he said "you realize it's our busiest day and that a gate is going to slow my drivers down. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE ma'am." At which point I realized that my $65 wasn't enough to please them or make their time worthy. I told him to "not worry about it as I don't feel my business is valued." At which point he hung up on me. Virginia Beach Florist at hilltop just received $125 of my business because their staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly and says they deal with this gated community on a regular basis. They will be getting my business and rave reviews. Thank you to them, and thank you to this business for dropping the ball to help me find a wonderful Florist for the future.
