We booked the entire place because my daughter and her fiance came to Missoula for their wedding. Family and bridesmaids of the bride stayed with us and it just made the whole experience like a huge fun slumber party leading up to the wedding. The location was right off the main areas giving us just the touch of isolation and natural wonder. The view from the windows suggested paradise - corny but so true -snow capped mountains and snowing (tho the wedding day was 65 degrees and sunny!) The rooms each were perfect and lovely in their own way. The general living areas felt like home. It's a long twisty gravel road drive up but that is the cost for the beauty and part of the fun. We used a second floor recreational area (great views, wide open, pool table) to prep as a group the day of the wedding making a perfect, fun, and happy all around experience. I cannot recommend this place enough. A bit of paradise which help make an incredible wedding experience more lovely, intimate and memorable!

The lodge is a family affair and the owners were really nice. The view from the lodge overlooks the valley, which is beautiful country. In the morning there was a deer that was hangin' out just outside the window. We didn't have a chance to take advantage of all the amenities (hot tub, outdoor fire area, etc.), but if we ever go back it'll be the place we stay.

Great find! While…read moreon a motorcycle trip in the area, a mechanical breakdown forced us to stay in Darby. Searching for places last-second is never fun, and even worse when it's on the weekend and there are a ton of events nearby. Luckily, we got the last rooms here - and at a reasonable rate. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. The hot tub overlooked the valley and the sunset was amazing as it lit up the hills. The beds were super comfy and the rooms very clean and cozy. In the morning we saw turkey and deer. My only regret was not being able to throw a line into the little pond out back. The B&B part is a bit misleading, as they do not serve food. But there is a fridge in every room, and plenty of restaurants in nearby Darby. I consider it very lucky that we were able to stay in this place and would actually seek it out again.
