On top of that, I have some pretty intense dental phobia from bad past dental experiences, so I usually take Valium the night before and morning of dental procedures. But Dr. Cory managed to put me enough at ease to go ahead with the procedure *sans Valium* on the spur of the moment. NGL, it was not my favorite way to spend a morning, but he and his staff were so caring and patient, they made the experience easier than I ever would have imagined. So I am going to stick with this Dentist office, even though scheduling time for cleanings is nearly impossible if you miss an appointment. The ability to put me at ease during a procedure is a rare quality, and worth any inconveniences I might have going forward.

Now, I can't imagine going anywhere else. The entire experience is a pleasure, something I imagine many don't say about the dentist. From check in and the friendly receptionist/admin team, to the hygienists and Dr. Brenney, I've never had a more painless experience at the dentist. The friendliness is a welcome respite from how loaded everything feels (literally) outside and the staff truly seems engaged and interested in your life. Cleanings are a breeze and Dr. Brenney is a true professional and extremely good at what he does. They explain things to me in simple terms and their pricing is very reasonable. Even from the phone call, I could tell that the team there would be patient and helpful. They have lived up to my assumption! I scheduled an appointment within 24 hours, which was wonderful. I parked across the street at the 201 2nd St garage ($5 or so), but there's also street parking for free or cheaper. Their offices are located on the 4th floor and were easy to find by the signage in the building. The office feels comforting and friendly, and the staff calls you by name and wants to know more about you. There are bottles of water and juice, magazines, and a drawing for a gift card that you can sign up for every time you visit (fun!). I've never had to wait more than a few minutes in the waiting room for my appointment, which is also great. The dental assistants are engaging and kind and don't make you talk while you have tools in your mouth. One of them even told me that I have "beautiful gum tissue." Can I put that on my resume? Dr. Patti is kind and takes time to get to know you and answer ANY questions you have. She identified wearing concerns on my teeth that I'd brought up at other dentists, but they'd brushed it off. Also, Dr. Patti puts a little bit of cocoa butter on your lips before she begins her appointments, which I love. I couldn't be happier with the service from Froeber Dentistry! Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing, especially in terms of transparency and communication. Dr. Le told me I had three cavities that needed fillings. As someone who had never done a filling before, I was quite skeptical but since I was anxious to get my sensitive tooth treated, I didn't seek a second opinion and proceeded with the three fillings here in March. Halfway through the procedure, Dr. Le told me that one of my teeth had a crack and that I might need a crown. At that point, I started feeling like this might be an upselling tactic, so I went to get a second opinion. After doing an occlusion examination, they concluded that I do not need a crown. On top of that, I was originally supposed to be billed for three fillings, and the office never informed me at checkout that they were changing the insurance claim. I only found out after receiving a notice from my insurance company that they had submitted a different claim instead. Because my insurance does not cover it, I was charged the full amount out of pocket.

They have a comfortable lobby, and it's easy to park in the parking garage behind that block of businesses. Do not pay for parking- it is not necessary! J&D Dental was able to see me within about a week to do X-rays. While doing some X-rays they found some fillings that also needed to be taken care of. I made another appointment for my cleaning and another appointment for the dental work. They currently have a promo for new patients and I choose the teeth whitening. When it came time to do my dental work I had a complete panic attack with tears and everything. Staff were super sympathetic and understanding. We came up with a new plan to skip the fillings and just fix the chipped tooth as a way to for me to get familiar with them. They even offered a prescription to help with the anxiety. Upon my return I felt extra cared for and appreciated that they explained everything they did beforehand. This place really listens and cares about the people coming in. I haven't seen that helper since thank goodness lol... she was creepy & wasn't helpful at all. This place is a block away from my condo in the North Loop.

I liked my previous dental office and only switched because there was a convenience gap I wanted to close, but what I've noticed is how thorough and professional these cleanings are. Nice space, big facility. My dentist has been Dr. Hannon and my hygienist has been Sarah, both awesome. They take Delta Dental, and they have two dedicated parking spaces in the lot that the Prince mural looks down on. Recommended!
