I get my dental cleaning here twice a year every year since they opened. Fabulous service. I only had an issue one time when they had a fill in dental assistant helper from a contract agency or someplace & either she didn't inject/swab numbing agent into the right place, I was in severe pain during a dental procedure & the Dentist herself had to inject the numbing agent herself in the correct spot where it should have been. I haven't seen that helper since thank goodness lol... she was creepy & wasn't helpful at all. This place is a block away from my condo in the North Loop. read more

Oh hey, this is my new regular dental office! I like them. Note that there are two sections; I've only ever entered the Washington Avenue part, but there is a 5th Avenue part as well. I liked my previous dental office and only switched because there was a convenience gap I wanted to close, but what I've noticed is how thorough and professional these cleanings are. Nice space, big facility. My dentist has been Dr. Hannon and my hygienist has been Sarah, both awesome. They take Delta Dental, and they have two dedicated parking spaces in the lot that the Prince mural looks down on. Recommended! read more

We have been coming Loop Dental for several months after moving to the twin cities. I knew we needed to find a dentist for the family, but dragged my feet until life kicked me in the pants - An old filling had crack open and it was a bad scene in there. I called Loop and they fit me in the next day and did a wonderful job fixing the damage, replacing my filling etc. I have since been back as have my wife and son for routine cleanings and they are fantastic every time. The office is also a breath of fresh air. I am so used to the old fashioned dentist office that is sterile, cramped, with 80's soft rock playing - like the world stopped 30 years ago. Loop Dental is a modern, inviting place, seems almost like a spa. There is lots of natural light, too. The people are very friendly and they are great communicating with you over text and email. read more

Love what they got going on here. Went for the first time after switching insurances and got treated like one of their own. Very friendly and nice staff all throughout. Technologically, the equipment they use is very up to date and gives you real time feedback and imagery of what is going on. I had been avoiding having 2 crowns done because I was terrified. Dr. Hannon assured me they would make me feel comfortable, and they set me up to watch Netflix on the ceiling and nitrous to calm me down. So happy that I found this dental office. I think I might switch! The space is very modern, bright, open and very welcoming! They have a variety of beverages for guests and even cookies, yes cookies at the dentist! That alone makes it theeee best! To the real stuff! The provider that saw my 2 year old son introduced himself to us in the lobby and made us feel exceptionally comfortable. He treated my family as if he'd known us before. He was very patient, kind and gentle with my son and gave us lots of encouragement. He left with a smile on his face and a small toy! I've been here once, but won't be back. It's a good dental office, and one I would recommend to others, with some caveats. The good: a nice, clean new office; friendly, professional staff; good, modern equipment, including digital x-rays which are displayed to the patient on the spot. My experience of a cleaning and dental x-rays here was positive. The not-so-good: everything that touched upon the payment process. 1.) The cheerful, smiling front desk staff informed me, more than once, that I'd get a better deal at an office inside my dental insurance network. I knew that, had chosen to come here instead, and their glee at pointing this out to me felt a bit like a push toward the door. A little odd, but not a dealbreaker on its own. 2.) I was overcharged at the point of purchase, i.e. the amount my insurer would cover was under-estimated, I was asked to pay the difference on the spot, and it was left to me to later check what my insurer would cover, compare that to this office's stated prices, and then ask for a refund for the overcharge. I know that Loop is not alone in doing this. Indeed, in recent years it has apparently become a new industry standard practice, but it is a terrible one. I understand that it improves cash flow, but it is customer-hostile and I encourage all dental practices to discontinue it and either: return to the old way of waiting for insurers to pay then billing customers for the difference; join the insurer networks and accept what they pay; or refuse dental insurance altogether and go cash-only. Any of these options would be more honest and customer service focused than this new practice of overcharging-by-underestimation. read more

I cannot recommend the team at Loop Dental highly enough. The entire staff from the front desk, to the dentists, to the hygienists are top of the line. State of the art equipment, quick and efficient appointments, and excellent customer service. I must also mention my amazing hygienist Brooke who is truly a joy to work with. She does excellent work (my smile has never looked better), is a blast to talk with during my appointments, and makes going to the dentist something I not only don't mind, I honestly look forward to it. I wanted to reach out to explain the best dental/medical advocate vs. insurance, I have ever met. I would know because I am a three time breast cancer survior, and going to the doctor is basically my job. I left Minnesota in August for California. Laura had contacted me, late fall, and said she thought I hadn't gotten enough covered from Atena for the work I had done at Loop Dental (amazing place period- everyone). She battled hard and emerged victoriously- with $165. To show you my perspective of the work she did for me: I require two bags of Chemo every third week at $13,000.00 per bag- it's a maintenance program. While I am covered by medicare, and have secondary coverage with BCBS-Federal, no one has EVER, worked as hard to help make sure I was getting what I was covered for, like Laura. I have had countless surgeries, radiations and the whole, as they say, enchilada or nine yards (pick your simile). She is a ray of light (as is all of Loop Dental) in a very dark industry, though she is especially bright. Please make sure you do whatever you can to retain her and do what needs to be done for her to continue to grow within the company. Total Rock Star. read more

Love this place- it's unlike any dentist's office I've been to before. Everyone (including the receptionist, hygienist, and dentists) was extremely friendly and helpful. They really took the extra time to make sure I understood exactly what they were talking about. Dr. Bates neatly laid out the procedures I need to have and prioritized everything- without any sort of pressure or judgment. The office itself is also beautiful, very clean, and modern. I am a nurse, I have great dental insurance and I scheduled a 10 am appointment on my late day, it was a month from when I scheduled this and I have a confirmation email from them for the 10 am , then a week before my SCHEDULED appointment they sent me something stating I now have an 11:20 am appointment and so I called and they apologized however they still tried to push an 11:20 am appointment the following week, I said AGAIN no this will not work, I have 2 children and a 5 day 10 hour a day work schedule , I work in family practice I wish I had all day so that you can "squeeze other people in" but I don't, completely unprofessional and I will be taking my busy, and great insurance elsewhere, next time be more precise and professional. I would not recommend going here unless you have time for this sort of issue. read more

So I was running late for my appointment and they still got me in! They had a full schedule booked up with patients and they took there time with me and worked on the stuff that we could get done! I had a cancellation fee before from a different dentist office so that's why I was worried and stuck in traffic! I was so happy that they did that! They all are very kind and nice. Long time visitor, first time reviewer...all that to say, Loop Dental is a awesome. I've been a patient at the North Loop site for close to 3yrs now and its a place I recommend and send all my friends. The practice aesthetics are cool, fresh, and modern; great modern equipment; plus there are snacks, water, and seltzer while you wait. Administrative staff is exceptional - they take the time to get to know you and are pretty flexible working with your schedule to get you in for appointments and any billing items. Brooke, my hygienist, is great. She's got a nice sock game and quick wit, but more importantly an exceptional memory - convo is always fun knowing she's taken the time to remember me as a person and chat with me through any service. I never feel judge if i'm not flossing, although she like to remind you the importance. I'd call her a friend, even if she would just call me a patient. Dr. Hannon - great teeth but also personable and funny, plus she'll always stop by to say hi. Dr. Bates (who my friends and I affectionately call Dr. Loop) is great at answering any questions and ensuring you're having a solid experience - plus I respect anyone who has a well groomed beard. All-in-all, I really enjoy Loop Dental. The staff is extremely calm and welcoming; you can tell they've taken to time to form a good team. The dental team is funny, but take their craft seriously (Brooke has an epic tooth tattoo), and love to get to know their patients. Plus, like your classic dental visit, I always get a bag of mini toothpaste, tooth brush, and floss - great for when family and guest visit or i'm traveling. Hard to believe, i don't have any issues with the team, because no one is perfect, but honestly they are great. Never had issues with billing, scheduling, or just outcomes with any cleaning or filling (they've constantly let me know if something doesn't feel right to come back and they'll fix it - luckily nothing hasn't felt right). I have never been fond of dentists. I received excellent care from Dr. Bates and the Loop Dental staff. They fixed my cracked crown right away. It was basically painless. I really can't express in words how my experience was, from the front desk personnel to the dental assistants and most importantly, to the dr . All were truly some of the nicest and authenticity caring staff I've ever come acrossed. But all that means nothing if the skill set isn't there, but it is and way above, most likely the most talented and knowledgeable staff that I've ever experienced , I have a huge fear of the dentist and was only greeted with caring actions and understanding , never shamed or was bothered if I needed to take a break, and my results are going from a smile that I've been embarrassed my whole life to a smile I'm proud of and it looks like me, not fake, just a much better version of my original smile. I would never lead anyone on, I take recommending someone very seriously , so once again, this is the best dental office that I have ever experienced.
