Which is a shame because theres a lot here to benefit soccer players who want to continue improving and growing. Not cheap - but rates seem to in-line with other child enrichment programs. My kids really enjoyed the winter clinics and the recent indoor futsal season they sponsored and the coaches were great with the kids.

My kids are 5 years and 3 years old. I figure I will give another chance so I signed my 5 year daughter for a summer camp. Every morning it was a battle to get her to stay there and none of the coaches even attempted to say "hey, come over here let's kick a ball". They might be good for the older kids but I would not recommend enrolling young kids.

One can grab a coffee on Monroe visit or visit the pharmacy, there is plenty to keep one busy.

Located below the I-495 -Woodrow Wilson Bridge, the park is right at the southernmost point and great water views of Virginia and sites within Maryland like the National Harbor across the Potomac River. There is a walking trail along the river with informational signs and displays that describe the really cool, informative information markers of sights and the past history of the area along the trail. A 10-minute walk on the trail will bring you to other parks (Ford's Landing, Shipyard, and Roberdeaux) and eventually to Old Town Alexandria with its many shops and restaurants --situated along the water. Another added plus is that the park offers a place for fishing, playgrounds, basketball courts, and multi-use fields. I came here with some friends for the first time and had a relaxing time just being outdoors and enjoying this great space in nature. We grabbed a picnic table....while having lunch and taking in the weather. Between the space and multi-use areas, it is the perfect spot to for walks along the river, running, exercising or simply....raking time to put things on pause and enjoy the outdoors. ELITE TIP: It is a good place to park if you are planning to visit Old Town Alexandria and want an easy place to park.....without having to deal with the limited street parking, risk of parking meter tickets or the high price garage parking. and enjoy a walk along the river.

I've used the pool and the weight room here so that's what my review will focus on. The locker…read morerooms are fine. The pool has a shallow end and a deep end. Unfortunately there are only a couple of lanes available in the deep end as the rest of the deep end is saved for things like water aerobics. The weight room was pretty disappointing. It was missing quite a bit of equipment I would expect in a weight room. I ended up choosing a different gym for my weight lifting, as I was constantly having to change my planned workout due to a lack of equipment. The pool is good though.

Since then, I have been trying to get a full refund with no success. I have sent multiple emails & the company is not confirming receipt of email. I have talked to the program director 3 times and each time he's assured me I would get the refund within 72 hours, which has not happened. Today, the program director actually hung up on me because I insisted to speak to whomever processes the refunds. I tried calling back a forth time and of course he did not answer. We have previously taken a class through BRYC, way better experience all around.

Today, a beautiful sunny day, we bring my son to Lacey Woods, excited, and there is literally not a single person for soccer. I called the number on the website, a man answers, I say, "is this Kids Pro Soccer?" He says yes. I explain there is no class, and he hangs up on me. It's not a real class or company, just theft.

The Fields at RFK may be the city's best playground/play area. Here's why:…read more 1) Playground: The ground is bouncy making it safer for kids and the equipment is slightly more advanced to help children develop confidence. There are mounds to climb, a three story slide, swings, etc. There's equipment for older kids and young kids like my 2-year-old daughter. 2) Fields: Nearby are several fields often used for soccer. My daughter loves watching people play soccer offering more entertainment. 3) View: Kids love that the Metro soars by nearby above ground and adults find it cool too! 4) Facilities: There are trash cans around, a party pavilion with outlets, and nice bathrooms with plenty of drinking water. 5) Kingman Island: Nearby is the entrance to Kingman Island, a man-made island in the Anacostia River with canoes, over 100 resident and migratory birds, and wooden bridges. We're averaging two trips a day here on the weekends. It's such a great area for families!

We arrived slightly after 2pm and there were more people there than I thought would be there. I quickly realized about half of those kids were a childcare group. Considering the overall playground area, this is definitely one of the best in not only DC but in the DMV area. It reminds me of the greatest hits of some of our favorite parks in NOVA: Fort Barnard, Mosaic Park, and Quincy Park (all in Arlington and worth visiting). My son loved the sports theme and naming the different balls. There are multiple slides: a roller slide, a small slide, medium slide, and a large tube slide. There are lots of "mountains " with and without rocks, bridges to climb, and various musical components. There's a two story merry-go-round, a couple one level ones, and multiple styles of swings. A separate part of the fields at RFK are the fields themselves. We spent some time on one kicking a soccer ball and throwing a football. There were no formal things going on except for what looked to be some organized kid movement class. A couple people practicing, another few just wrestling , and a few more walking. Of particular note, parking is readily available and the bathrooms are open. They have a changing room bathroom too. It only took about 20 minutes to get here, which is similar to some of the nicer parks in North Arlington, so I'd come here again for sure!

DC United is tied with the LA Galaxy for the most Supporters' Shields won (4 each; most seasons with best regular season record). They've also won three US Open Cups (second-most in the league) and are the only MLS team to have won either the CONCACAF Champions League and the Copa Interamericana championship. So, when it comes to Major League Soccer, this is what you call a historically elite team. DC United was one of the original 10 teams to begin MLS play in the league's inaugural season in 1996. They had success right out the gate, winning the MLS Cup in 1996, 1997, and 1999. The team carried that success into the 2000s, but aside from their 2013 US Open Cup win (where they were underdogs), they haven't won anything of consequence since. A couple of the most well-known players and coaches from DC United include Bolivian forward Jaime Moreno and American midfielder and coach Ben Olsen. Moreno and Olsen were teammates on the 1999 and 2004 MLS Cup championship teams. Moreno has gone on to set club records in many statistical categories including most appearances (427) and goals scored (162). No other DC United player has come close. The season immediately after his last as a player (2009), Olsen took the reins as head coach in 2010 after the firing of Curt Onalfo. Olsen went on to coach DC United for an entire decade (2010-2020), by far the longest tenure of any club coach. My kids loved watching trains go by, and it is fully fenced in, so you can relax and kids can get any kind of locomotive show. They also made a bike/running trail along side the park. There is plenty of seating and places for families to relax or do a picnic lunch. The playground itself is also amazing! There is a toddler and big kid side. Every type of play equipment you can imagine. I was especially impressed by the maze on the toddler side. I am also not a parent of a child with disabilities, but I recognized some equipment for disabilities. This park really has it all.

I…read morethink this park was constructed a few years ago when they developed the other buildings and apartments in the area. We came here today during Fathers Day, and it seemed like all of the fathers were seated in the park benches while the kids were playing in the fountain. There is also a large playset section wmthat has several slides, plastic ladders, and hoops for kids to play in. Down on the far end, I even noticed an old school swing set with actual chains holding the swings up. There are porta potties, and the entire park is also connected to a large walk and bike path. I believe this path connects to both Patomac Yards and Crystal City. We stayed for a good two hours, and everyone had a lot of fun, even the old folks.
