We…read moregot married and had our reception at Henry Clay, with the ceremony in the Beaux Arts Ballroom and reception in The Grand Ballroom. I was intimidated by the venue because of the space and height of the ceilings but Maria was so knowledgeable (and patient) and a true expert in not only utilizing the space and natural decor that the Henry Clay offers, but also translating my often scattered ideas into a tangible vision. I live in New York (my parents are in Louisville) and Maria met with me every time I was home as well as met with my mom several times to perfect the design and decor. She was arrived even before we did the day of the wedding and spent all day making sure everything was set up exactly right. She worked with us on the lighting, placement, and worked with with our florist and the Henry Clay on-site team to get all the details exactly right. Maria was an absolute dream to work with and our wedding would not have been what it was without her. She is also very helpful working within budgets and maximizing decor and design based on those budgetary concerns. The pictures do not do Maria and her design skills justice. Will definitely be using her in the future for any party decor/lighting rental needs in the future. A big thank you to Bounce'n Round for the care they showed my son when we were there for a recent…read morebirthday party. Due to my son's medication, he sometimes feels nauseous and gets sick. Unfortunately, this birthday party was one of those times. After he jumped for a bit, he needed to sit down, and my husband was able to bring over a large garbage can for him to get sick into. The staff did not wince or cringe when they swiftly disposed of the can. They stripped the nearby table he had been sitting at of its tablecloth, wiped down the table and chairs with disinfectant wipes and remade everything in just a few minutes. I thanked the owner, and he shrugged it off, saying he hopes my son feels better. My son's bout wasn't due to him having the flu or being infectious -- but it was comforting to see how well they take care of everything in case he had been. My son felt better after that, and my daughter and the rest of the kids had a blast. Bounce'n Round does birthday parties right, helping everyone keep to a schedule of fun that includes black lights, pizza, birthday cake, a group photo and bubble play. A definite party winner!

The best part? No one took their shirt off in the booth (mom has some truly awful friends and relatives, absolute trash). The other great part was it kept the kids entertained so they weren't running around knocking the old folks down. Children and the elderly don't mix well, they're too much alike. Also, they show up at things in their cool Volkswagen and you can get your photo there. What event doesn't need a photo booth? When I'm elected Pope? Yeah, people will want to take photos. When Secretary Clinton is inaugurated the first and second time as President of the United States? Pictures or it didn't happens. Grandma's funeral? Okay, maybe that's too far even if she is a terrible person. Honestly, when I consider who my grandparents I'm shocked I'm not the antichrist.
