I've seen Ah, Whatta 'Bout Mimi's balloon art around town at events, so when I needed some balloons, they quickly came to mind. I brought some of my own branded balloons to be blown up and was in need of some large balloon hearts as well. When I arrived, I was the only person in the store, which meant I got help quickly. The young man who helped me showed me what they had, and after finding out that the first balloon I pointed to was sold out, I found another to buy to round out my balloon order. I was impressed with their selection. Really -- if you need balloons, they probably have what you need. One thing I was not big on, though, was that it costs more than $3 each to blow up my branded basic latex balloons. That definitely added up fast. It also took about 30 minutes to have my 12 balloons inflated. But, looking on the bright side, this did give me time to explore the store, which contains several gift items, in case you're ever in need. Mimi sells some local items from Bourbon Barrel Foods and Moss Hill. It also has some very yummy looking fudge, which is made in-house, as well as other chocolates that the young man told me were made elsewhere. It also has a small case of flowers and some cards. If you're in need of something gift-y, chances are you can find it here. After my balloons were finished, the man who helped me offered to help me get them in my car, which I appreciated. If I have another specific balloon need in the future, I'll likely come here.

We recently just got out of the hospital due to having our first baby and I wanted to thank our doctor for going above and beyond for us during our delivery with a gift basket. I also wanted to support a local business. Working downtown I had passed Mimis often but never had the opportunity to use their services. My friend highly recommended them so I gave them a shot. The moment I called I knew I picked the right place! Martha asked me about why I was sending the basket, who it was for and my budget. She patiently worked with me over the phone as we selected the items for a bourbon theme basket. I ended up picking fudge, a candle, syrup and jam. One note: I wanted to include bourbon but they do not sell alcohol. She rang up my transaction over the phone and had it delivered the same day. Now that's great customer service! I will be a repeat customer.

I called from AL and asked that a balloon bouquet be sent for my granddaughter's 16th birthday party which was 6 hours away. Brian handled it beautiful and delivered it in plenty of time! Couldn't be more pleased!

They were only a ten minute walk from [The Galt Hotel] which really made all our walks convenient. I walked in to this very cool and comfortable shop and congratulated them that they have the only person from New York who does not drink Bourbon in their shop which gave everyone a smile but they said... "Not too worry, we are more than just straight Bourbon." Loved all the different types of art hanging on the walls, on the shelves and on the floor. It was at that point that they started to give me and my friends different sample of their homemade chocolate and bourbon balls. I read in one review that they have their own certified chocolatier who is making these things and they are good!!! The team here was so kind and helpful and I can tell you that they had everything Bourbon. A fun experience and next visit will bring back some of these items for my friends. I am sure that they too will appreciate. KUDOs to the team at Art Eatables.

I stopped in today for a couple of items for a care package. Immediately I was greeted at the door asking if it was my first time in. I've been in several times for holiday gifts. They have a massive selection of bourbon balls. They've been a huge hit every time they've been gifted. Each time I've visited, they've offered a sample of a bourbon ball. It's a great place to introduce visitors to bourbon balls! I haven't had the chance to do the bourbon tasting here yet but it's definitely on my list. You can add on chocolates!

The storefront is the cutest with pink motif colors... pink awning, pink doors, pink signage. Inside is nostalgic. They have pre-packaged candy as well as candy by the pound. Mix & match chocolates from the Sugar Bar and choose from a large or small candy cup. I chose the small candy cup for $10 and had it filled with milk chocolate peanuts and milk chocolate raisins. Friendly customer service. When someone exits the shop they bid you with a "have a sweet day." Family owned and operated. Instagram: @newalbanysugarshoppe Review #3878

Look for the sidewalk signs to lead the way. And despite it's small size it is absolutely chock full of sweet goodness! I saw several candy brands that made me feel nostalgic. Macarons are a signature -- definitely check out the large case of many flavors. And it boasts a case of so many chocolatey treats. I ended up getting some chocolate dipped Oreos, sprinkled in edible glitter, for my kids, who went nuts over them. (I maybe snuck a bite too!) I love taking time to explore New Albany, to see what new-to-me shops I can discover. The New Albany Sugar Shoppe was a highlight during my recent trip across the river.
