Tried to put off a new roof as long as possible because you know the hassle it can be. Finally had to have it done, I reached out to a number of companies some which never even bothered calling back. Fortunately Bill called back from William Brooks roofing. Let me tell you. I am a perfectionist and this company impressed me . Bill called and he came out to survey and provide an estimate. Now as part of my job I survey and provide estimates so I have an idea what to look for As far as their estimate they were fair and honest and definitely the most detailed. Bill listed everything in such specifics that I was surprised he didn't include nails and screws. This attention to detail shows me perfectionism and pride in your work. And as for the work. They did not disappoint. Their crews came early worked late and knocked a main roof , porch roof and back room roof off in 3 days. And this was down to the rafter work. Everything had to be replaced, which I knew. The foreman that ran the crews kept my wife and I informed all the way through. The overall roofing job looks fantastic. Clean up after was excellent. If you don't want to read this whole review, here is the summary: let Wm. Brooks III LLC do your roof. I used them once and will use them now forever. So, I am that guy. I'm the guy that uses social media to find the right contractor for the job but never posts a review. Well, that had to change today. No one ever wants to buy a roof. We needed several of our roofs repaired on our 1920's home. Out of 5 quotes between Christmas and New Years Day (I told you I was that guy), Bill's quote was not the least expensive but he was clear he knew exactly what needed to be done. Bill said he would get the work done in two weeks. We signed the contract and four days later, Foreman Jim and his crew shows up on January 3 exactly at 7AM as Bill said they would. Jim's crew had the multiple layers of our flat roof torn off and down to the rotted wood in less than 2 hours. They repaired the wood and had the new EDPM roof on and done before 3PM. A 2nd crew was up on the high-pitched roof and had the leaky skylight out and in the dumpster by 4PM. By 5PM Jim's crew was blowing everything out of front yard and driveway, and loading their trucks. Friendly, professional and nice, smiling people. You've found your "forever roofing company." I bought a fixer-upper and the roof was in bad shape. Half of the gutters were missing, holes in the soffit & fascia, etc. Bill (the owner) came out for an estimate promptly and gave me the best estimate by far. Not pushy at all, just informative and upfront. The whole project took about 4 days, and they ended up stripping and shingling my roof, replacing and repairing the fascia and soffit boards, capping both, and putting in beautiful new seamless gutters. They worked extremely fast for the size of the job, and Bill was there every day to supervise (and do a ton of work). The results were incredible and we couldn't be happier. They didn't leave a scrap of trash behind, and even ended up cleaning some of my pre-existing brush that I was going to clear out. I haven't even found a leftover nail yet. They also cleaned out some of the slop in the roof from years of neglect. I think the best gauge of the quality of someone's work is what others think, and I believe Bill got at least 2 inquiries from my neighbors due to the quality of his work. I am new to the Cherry Hill, NJ area and while on the Neighborhood App, I saw that this roofing company was highly recommended. I called them, and William was at my home the next day. He was prompt, professional and thorough. Of the 4 quotes I received, his was the best. I only had to wait two weeks to start the work. On the day the work began, a crew of about 7-8 respectful men arrived early and ready to work. I was pleased with the care and effort they put forth to protect my flower garden and grass. Ok back to the roof. An EXCELLENT job. They paid attention to detail and answered all my many questions as we toured and admired the finish work that took only one day to complete. I got a business card from Bill's sister who is one of the women who cuts my hair and very happy I did. Of 3 quotes I received, his was lower than both by between $1.5k-$2.5k with the same exact quality and product (if not better as also uses Owen and Corning which the other 2 quotes did not). Supplies came next day after confirmed and dumpster over the weekend on Sun 2 days after supplies (which was an unexpected surprise). Crew got there just before 7am the following Tues, had almost the entire old roof off when left for work just before 8:30, and job completed in a few short hours after. We already had one estimate from an outrageously priced roofing company. Bill Brooks had many positive reviews so we gave him a call. He arrived the next day with plenty of samples and a down-to-earth manner. My wife and I knew that he was the guy. Bill arrived two weeks later and everything went exactly as promised. His work is completely professional not missing the smallest detail. I policed the area after they were done and did not find a single nail! Meanwhile our neighbors on both sides also had their roofs done by other, unmarked roofers. They both used smaller crews and were done in 1/2 of the time. Mr. Brooks helped me out of a jam. This past weekend I noticed that a patch of shingles (not installed by him) had blown off of our roof. Today on Monday morning I called him ...and by the early afternoon he was up on the roof replacing our shingles. This was HUGE of him because we're supposed to get up to ten inches of snow tonight, and I was worried about damage to the roof... thanks to Mr. Brooks, now we're not worried. Mr. Billy Brooks did some roofing work for me in 2013, however I just saw his yelp account now and figured I would leave a review. His customer service was excellent and more importantly, so was his roofing knowledge and skills. He completed the work promptly and it has remained in great condition for the past few years since its completion. Worked around the idiots from Vivint on the removal of solar panels (which they took almost triple the time required by their contract!) Final cost was right on the mark with the estimate.
