I asked Armando what I should prioritize first, and instead of trying to upsell me into panic, he explained what actually mattered most right now and what could wait a little longer. I ended up paying around $430-ish for the wheel bearing repair and the difference is honestly insane. My car used to sound awful and feel stressed just existing on the road. Now it glides so smoothly it feels suspiciously close to an electric vehicle. Huge difference. What I appreciated most was the honesty. While I was there, another woman came in after an accident wanting to fix one cosmetic area near the tire. Armando explained why spending money only on that part wouldn't really solve the larger issue long term. You could tell she was disappointed because the bigger repair was expensive, but he genuinely didn't want her wasting money towing it to him..even if it could've been as easy sell. That kind of honesty is rare nowadays. He'll tell you the truth, even when it's not the answer people necessarily want to hear. Armando and Manuel were both professional, fair, and accommodating through the whole process. They even helped coordinate a third-party payment over the phone during a stressful situation for me, which helped more than they probably realize. I asked about future repairs for brakes/wheel bearing around $400ish. Tune up around $269.. Definitely bringing my car back here for future repairs.

These are the guys!…read more I've had my Gen 1 Prius for 20+ years now and I wish I had been bringing my car here all these long years to begin with. Totally worth the drive from Burbank. These guys were, first of all, very responsive on the phone. They were proactive in communication and very accommodating with dropoff and pickup times. I brought my car in because it was behaving very strangely, all kinds of scary engine system warning lights flashing, odd noises when driving. I expected whatever was wrong to be thousands of dollars. Instead it was an incredibly easy and relatively cheap fix. They recommended me some other services that I hadn't performed in too long (changing the cabin air filter, etc) and offered me a good price for those too. They kept in good communication with me throughout and were always happy to explain the work. The work took one day. They let me bring my car in the evening before so that I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn...spectacular! After I picked it up, it was still making some odd creaking and scraping noises, so I called them a couple of days later to ask about it. They had me bring the car back in the and spent maybe 10-15 minutes figuring out what was going on, while I waited. Turned out to be some improperly attached protective bit of the undercarriage (not their fault - i think this was the fault of the previous mechanic who had installed it), which they spent a further 10 minutes adjusting and then... voila! No more noise! They didn't even charge me for this extra work and sent me on my way a completely satisfied customer! They even helped me change my windshield wiper blades, which I was having trouble with due to a broken piece on the old ones. Outstanding customer service. Kindness, expert knowledge and incredibly trustworthy energy in every interaction, with every person I talked to. These guys know their stuff and they are honest and straightforward. A real gem in the auto repair industry. We are lucky to have them here in the valley.

He's very upfront and explains things in a way that actually makes sense, so you understand what's going on with your car. He doesn't try to upsell or push unnecessary work, which is rare these days. Truly an honest mechanic. I originally found him through AAA, and he's been excellent ever since. His prices are reasonable, and I've always felt treated fairly. I also go here regularly for my routine tune-ups. One important thing I do want to mention: I once made an appointment to get my brakes done, but Avo was out that day. One of the employee mechanics tried to charge me way more than the normal ballpark price and was pressuring me to get the work done right away. I knew roughly what it should cost, so I decided to hold off and picked up my car. When I spoke to Avo about it, he apologized and explained that his employees are skilled at working on cars but aren't always good at quoting prices. He even offered my next tune-up on him, which I really appreciated. Since then, I haven't had any issues. Because of that experience, I strongly recommend asking specifically for Avo -- he's the owner. Personally, I prefer dealing directly with him and don't recommend going through the employee mechanics for estimates or decisions. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, and I'm glad I found one I can rely on.
