I recently found out about WM Tutoring, as I was looking for an Integrated Math II tutor for my daughter who is a Junior in high school. Marie, the owner, got back to me quickly, and she helped me find a tutor to meet with my daughter each week. I really liked that Marie listened to what I needed (someone with great communication skills, since previous tutors I had hired for my son in math had failed miserably on that end). Marie recommended Amariah, and she is a fantastic tutor! She has a perky and positive attitude, but what I really appreciate is that she walks my daughter through each concept step-by-step first and then has my daughter walk her through the steps of a practice problem; it's not just theory, but theory and practice. This really reinforces the material being learned, and Amariah can stop to clarify any steps (or missteps) and talk those through together. I contacted Marie from WM Tutoring in October 2021, and she was really communicative from the get-go! She was professional and helpful when we talked over the phone, and she understood my concerns about hiring a new Chemisty tutor for my daughter. My daughter has high grades in her other courses, so she is self-conscious when it comes to a subject she can't grasp immediately. I needed a tutor who could be friendly, put my daughter at ease, and explain the material in a way that is easy to understand. Finding a tutor with a lot of patience was also important to me, as was a tutor who could adapt to different learning styles by using a variety of strategies and approaches. I'm so happy to say we got all of this with her wonderful tutor, Sebastian. He does a great job explaining Chemistry concepts in a way that is accessible, and his demeanor and pace are excellent as well. My daughter now feels more confident completing her Chemistry work.
