I graduated from TCAT Nashville back in 2018. Since than I have been working as a HVAC and…read morerefrigeration technician. I highly recommend anyone wanting to go and do any one of their programs. Staffs are very friendly.

The HVAC program at this school set me up for success. I'm a recent graduate of TCAT Nashville in…read morethe HVAC department and have found great success within a few short months after having graduated. I have been in the field for about 4 months now and I am currently doing service calls for a local company on my own in just under 3 of those months of being in the field. A huge part of this success I owe to all the teachers there at TCAT. The first 8 months are learning about the refrigeration cycle and electrical side. While the first half of the program is focused more towards book learning it is essential in order for the students to understand what it is we deal with and safety involving this trade. Mr.Alvey was my primary teacher for the first half of the program as well as Mr.Beckman. Mr.Alvey shows he cares about his students and their progress in moving forward with learning this essential trade. Showing up ON TIME, a good work ethic, self study, and respect are key in doing well in this program. The same exact things an employer expects out of you. If you actually try in class Mr.Alvey will support you in every way he can. The second half of the program is run by Mr.Derek Brown. This is primarily shop/lab work. This is where we get to put what we learned to the test and continue our learning with more hands on training. The shop is set up for use to troubleshoot many different types of problems that are seen day to day in the field. Safety is a priority of Mr.Brown and you can ensure he takes it seriously. This man knows what he is talking about so it truly pays off to pay attention and ask questions. For some of these previous reviews it really seems to me we are getting two very different experiences out of this course. It truly sounds to me like some people don't show up and don't care enough to research/study at home. To those people I say good luck in the real world and have fun treating a potential employer the same way you treat this course. I can promise you it won't last long with the type of effort you're putting in. 10 out of 10 will recommend to anyone looking to get into the trades. I use knowledge I learned at this school every single day and I am extremely grateful for every teacher in this program.

The only reason this school exists; is the State of Tennessee Real Estate Commission REQUIRES…read moreapplicants to obtain "training" prior to taking the exams. The Real Estate Commission, composed mostly of Real estate licensees (77% by law), has taken on the task of feeding these "real estate schools" a massive stream of cash vis a vis Commission requirements. There is ZERO, ZERO, ZERO instructional design to this course. They have no idea what understanding, content, testing, reinforcement, or retention are. They don't know what the first rule of learning is. The have never heard of ADDIE, and the highest level of technology utilized in this course - is a credit card point of sale terminal. This is government level COMPLIANCE; it has nothing to do with training. I did not need to pay $375 for someone to read a book to me (anyone who needs someone to read a book to them, cannot pass this test anyway) - that is simply NOT "training." This is, at best, a misguided fleece job by the Tennessee State Real Estate Commission to pump money into the schools THEY APPROVE. I am fully capable of reading a book and taking a test. Have you actually seen a detailed syllabus? What is the approval process by the state other than a compliance of TIME of study? Seriously? The state mandates that an applicant receive 60 hours of training, but don't demand course content actually train students - come on. I wa told that 85% of CLI students pass on the first attempt. 1). THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE based on the class I attended. 2). Get ANY statement of pass ratio in writing - but I personally guarantee they will not give it to you, which means.. 3) Any training course that isn't guaranteed, is exactly that!!! Any student that would pay $375 for a training course and then fail the course without the ability to be retrained for taking the test again - at no additional charge - is appropriate. One of the instructors actually made fun of handicapped persons in class while "teaching" a subject. The instructor said hurtful things about mental health care. These people should be setting a professional tone for the future employees of an industry - not ifosterin / facilitating discrimination. This is a money machine; nothing more and nothing less. It was a waste.

This is an excellent school and the staff is amazing. If you want a reputable and knowledgeable…read moreplace for learning all about the Real estate business...this is where you need to be!

I like the safe and nurturing environment for my kids as well. The owner is very hands on and because she is a mom I know she gets it. I like that she treats my kids like her own and runs a tight ship. The only blip was when she hired a GM from another music program who was rude and just didn't get it but they fixed that issue quickly and the program is moving forward once again. I would highly recommend taking your kids to any of the Schools of Rock here in this area - they are top notch in every way and I love the shows.

When I heard School of Rock had an adult program, I was ecstatic. Sure, $320 a month isn't cheap,…read morebut breaking it down into a weekly lesson and a band rehearsal actually amortizes pretty well. I walked into my trial lesson fully intending to sign up. I wanted private instruction to help me move past the intermediate plateau--learning the fretboard deeply rather than just robotically regurgitating tabs. Unfortunately, the trial was highly disorganized. While the instructor was a skilled player, he ran a complex exercise that didn't match the baseline I had explicitly laid out. Instead of pivoting when I clearly struggled, we just burned through the clock. Worst of all, we spent zero time on what is supposed to be the core School of Rock curriculum: breaking down specific song parts to learn the technicals. Just as we were finally about to start, he ended the lesson early. Assuming the trial lesson was meant to mirror a regular lesson, I was shorted a significant chunk of the advertised time. This place seems excellent for beginners, and I'd highly recommend it for kids. But the onboarding for adults needs work. When I gave honest, non-harsh feedback to the studio manager about my experience, the response was a rigid ultimatum: no further trials, but I could pay $65 for an extra lesson or just commit to a full month to "see how it feels." I might still roll the dice on a month because the performance-based concept is incredibly cool, but hitting a warm lead with a low-effort cash grab after a provably bad first impression isn't great salesmanship. It feels like a massive risk to drop that much cash on a "maybe."
