This was great! I booked a class for 8 girls as something a little different to do in Nashville besides the bar scene. When we got there the place was air conditioned (thank goodness we were dying) and even though we were early we were able to sit inside and wait. We brought our own alcoholic drinks and they provided water and let us put our drinks in a fridge to keep them cold. We learned two dances with a little break in between. Not the most coordinated bunch, but we still mastered the beginner and intermediate dances! Best part was filming it all at the end! Of course we didn't get it perfect so it was great watching the video the next day in the airport and laughing with everyone! Definitely definitely recommend this place! It's a great activity that doesn't revolve around the bars on broadway/eating, plus you feel like you got your exercise in for the trip!

A line dancing class while in Nashville-why not?! This was such a fun, light group activity. You can reserve the room solo with over 10 ppl in your group, or join with others to fill a res. You learn two routines, one faster than the other that's taught once you've got the fundamentals. There is lots of iteration and checking in to ensure everyone's feeling good about the routine. Each session is topped off with a recording of your group-how neat! In addition, they allow you to bring alcohol, though water and another nonalcoholic beverage are also provided. It's super casual and well worth the hour! Parking is available at the complex.

We came here with 5 women for a bachelorette party! It was a fun experience. The woman taught us an easy line dance and one that was a bit more challenging. The music, vibe, and choreography were all great. The only disappointment was the physical space they are in- parking was tight and a bit awkward and the actual classroom was cramped and seemed awkward. I hope this company does so well that they can invest in a larger space that would be a bit more accommodating. Thanks for showing us such a great time!! read more

Came to Nashville with a group of 10 gals to celebrate my daughters 21st. Hired New Boots for a private line dance lesson at our Airbnb to get the weekend started. Great decision! Priya was our instructor, she was friendly, fun, and put up with all our chatter!! We learned two dances, one original and the Boot Scoot Boogie, perfect for an hour long lesson. We were able to use our new skills several times in our travels down the Broadway bars. Highly recommend getting your Nash party started with New Boots!! read more

This is a must! We had a group of 12 girls (none of which who knew how to line dance) and by the end of the hour we were doing a routine! We then proceeded to do that routine at every bar we went to that night . The teachers were so great - very patient and helpful. We had a blast. Another one of the activities that the maid of honor booked while we were in Nashville. We had a little trouble finding it but after a quick call to the place they told us how to get there. It was unbearably hot that day in Nashville but thankfully when we walked in they had water waiting for us and the A/C blasting. The instructor introduced herself to us and had laid out koozie that we were allowed to take with us. They share a space within the building but they allowed us to but our drinks in the fridge. The instructor was very patience with us and had no issue explaining or doing moves more than once. We all had a great time and it was fun to see ourselves on camera performing the line dance. She allowed us to pick whatever songs we wanted for the performance too! This was such a fun and different activity to plan in Nashville! Would deff recommend for groups of any age to try it out. read more

I've been line dancing for 25 years, but my friends don't know a thing about line dancing so we took a class together while visiting Nashville. I've had a lot of dance instructors over the years and I can tell you that Liz is fantastic. She is energetic, encouraging, and a really thoughtful instructor. My friends learned enough in the class that we went line dancing that night. They were able to follow some simple line dances that they saw on the dance floor. And, when they started doing one of the dances they learned in class, a whole group of people started following them. From dance students to dance instructors in one day! I highly recommend taking a class here! read more

I surprised my husband for his birthday weekend with a variety of activities - one of which was the New Boots Line Dancing! He thought we were going to a cool bar but.... no.... it was a line dancing class. He sucked but he had fun and ended up being the judge. Everyone in the class had fun and it was a great afternoon activity. Thanks Draya and team! Highly recommend for a fun Nashville country activity before you hit Broadway or dance venue. read more

This is a must if you are in town with your girls! We stopped in as part of a bachelorette weekend in Nash and we are so happy we did! Prices aren't bad (book online) and overall just a fun time! Make sure you wear your cowboy boots and bridesmaids shirts! They provided sweet tea and encourage BYOB. Our instructor was cute and super bubbly and didn't make anyone feel like they couldn't do it (even though many of us- indeed- couldn't do it!). We learned two dances and danced to some Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt. We happened to be on the day they were filming part of a new music video for Willie Jones' "Bachelorettes on Broadway" so we stayed an extra 30 minutes to "learn" an additional dance. So fun! My only feedback would be to get a better AC unit in the room because.. dang, it was hot! But, even with the temps, we loved it! read more

I did a New Boots class with a group of coworkers (male and female) as a fun office get-together. The whole experience was great - very well organized, great music to dance to, and Jess (our instructor) made us all feel comfortable with line dancing even though none of us ever had! The drinks are a fun bonus and because each class is small and private, it feels very exclusive. I would definitely bring a group in again! read more

Howdy, I’m Andréa — Owner, COO, and Lead Instructor at New Boots Line Dancing. What started as a love for movement, music, and bringing people together has grown into a multi-city brand creating high-energy dance experiences for beginners, private events, corporate teams, and communities across Nashville and NYC. I oversee operations, instructor training, client experience, and creative direction while continuing to teach classes and events myself. With a background in entertainment, modeling, and performance, I’ve always been passionate about creating spaces that feel welcoming, confidence-building, and genuinely fun for everyone who walks through the door. I would like to think the business is doing good enough to throw some cash for an "upgrade" on your private room so you can actually accommodate all the people you are charging so everyone's experience can be what they paid for? I don't care if adding "you may share a pole" somewhere (haven't seen that yet) is going to make the experience less awkward, uncomfortable or unfair. No, this types of classes are NOT ok to share equipment. The moves are not very shareable friendly and I was standing half of the class as an SPECTATOR which in the website DOES say is not allowed. I guess is not allow unless you pay, hmmm. No, I don't think it's ok for a business to make their customer uncomfortable and awkward by forcing them to be the one having to share at "their" pleasure and expect everyone to share equally worth of time. We are here to have fun, ridiculous! Then the receptionist (bless her heart!) makes the HUGE mistake of making a scene in the party and ruined everyone's last half of the time while I was in the bathroom. Like NO one asked YOU to go and tell the instructor like in high school, if I wanted to do that and have the whole party noticed that I voiced over my (and the other girl having to share the pole) dissatisfaction I would of. Then I'm not sure who else was there but talking behind someone's back IS NEVER OK! Like I'M THE ONE with the problem not my party. TALK TO ME. This happened a few times too after the whole thing. Like I said, NEVER OK. This place is run by high school minded people. I would NOT recommend at all, but if you do come, keep in mind their private parties over 6 WILL be sharing a pole and paying the same but not getting the same. They do have their public classes which is what I was told that we should of had gotten. Well ok then. How accommodating and friendly y'all are! You definitely made our experience one we will never forget! *instructor was nice and friendly* **Update** aggressive was the "manager" towards me. This situation got confusing when I returned to the studio and over heard someone telling my party how we needed to share the pole. I was shocked. Are you for real? Are we kids? We are paying customers. Get enough poles. Period. Like I said on my review, NO ONE ASKED HER to tell anyone anything. If I wanted a scene, I would of said it straight to the instructor myself. The reason why you were called still a mystery, if she is the "manger", shouldn't she be fit to handle a situation of a simple customer dissatisfaction of feeling ripped off? Her obvious choice to call you shows that you are in need of a better manager that can take a negative comment and avoid these situations getting so scaled. Before heading to the bathroom I said ok to writing the note she offered. Why did she have to scale the situation? Don't know. High school drama? And for your camera evidence. Did I stayed after with a FAKE happy attitude? Yes. Why ruin any further what your establishment already achieved. Did I enjoyed? NO. I wasn't in a single picture for the same reason. Still, I'm being blame of "enjoying" what I wasn't will to pay. All I wanted to do was leave your studio. Your camera can also show that too. I couldn't just leave. I needed to smooth things over with my party. You guys are unbelievable. I still don't understand why you talked to the other person in my party when I was the one with the problem. I told your "manager" I was ok just standing there and leaving the note to find a happy solution after. She decided to take my dissatisfaction of the set up as a "must act now, this is a California fire" when it wasn't. My experience wasn't all bad until that got scaled. She didn't handle it well and blaming the customer is not the answer either. No need to further this matter. A refund was offered to the lady at my party which is like giving it to me. If that was going to be the end result why the unnecessary drama? Still confused on the problem solving procedures of this place.

I come here just about every Friday for Jump Session. I noticed that Jump Session is listed as a separate business here on Yelp, so I'll review the event on its page and review the venue itself on this one. Avenue 2 is a nice, clean dance studio. When you walk in, there's a small lobby with a comfy couch and some chairs. During Jump Session, there's a table there where you sign in. I'm not sure what's there on other days. I've only been here apart from Jump Session two times, both for private swing dance lessons. The first door on the right of the foyer is a small dance room with mirrors all around the room, a nice stereo, and a hardwood floor for dancing. One thing worth mentioning about this room is that the acoustics are surprisingly good. Since mirrors are lining the walls, you wouldn't think they would be that great. Glass isn't the best noise absorber. The two private lessons I took here were in this room, and the music I danced to just sounded spectacular in here. Maybe it's just the stereo system rather than the acoustics, but it really was great. If you keep going down the hall, straight ahead is the big ballroom. It also has hardwood floors for dancing. There are mirrors here as well, but only on the center of the back wall. There are some very nice and comfy white couches for sitting in when you aren't dancing and some folding chairs if you need more seating. There is no stereo here...only a sound system. You have to bring your own computer or stereo and hook it up to the sound system yourself. The sound system was evidently upgraded recently, but I honestly can't tell any difference. The acoustics aren't that great here, probably due to its size and openness. There are no doors into this larger ballroom; it's all connected to everything else. There are two strangely placed bathrooms here. There's one in the hallway when you turn left. It's a unisex bathroom with one toilet and a sink. I hardly ever use the other one because I didn't even realize it existed until a few weeks ago! There's another unisex bathroom in the big ballroom near the awkwardly-placed corner exit door. Parking is limited for Avenue 2 specifically, but there are many free parking options nearby. There are about five parking spots in front of the place that say "Learn to Dance" on them. You can't park in any of the other spots in this parking lot without getting a ticket or getting towed. However, if you're here late at night, there is a parking lot right behind this strip center for metro employees. They won't tow you there unless it's during the day and the metro employees are actually there. The Anchor Fellowship church is also nearby with a smaller parking lot where you can park for free. It's a bit more of a hike, but it's not that far. As my rating suggests, Avenue 2 is A-OK. I think it's a fine venue for dancing in Nashville. My main complaints are the layout and the acoustics and sound system in the main ballroom. If these two things changed, it would probably get a full five stars from me. El fin.

Reminder, that if you are over 21 please bring an ID, makes it easier to get through the front door on Broadway. As an alternative, there is an entrance through the alley between the bars on Broadway and the Ryman that accesses all/most of the bars. After going all the way to the top floor with an amazing view, our instructor Jason checked us in. He did a fabulous job, explaining the process, breaking down the line dance and taking some amazing video to keep to show all your friends and family what a fabulous dancer that you are. HA! They send the video a few days after the experience and its included in your fee. My suggestion would be to either build more time into the lesson to grab drinks between or pay a bit more and have a bar tender upstairs. They do provide immediate access to water because boy shaking it makes you thirsty. Had a fabulous time and definitely encourage visitors to give this a try.

We always enter from the "access trail" side. It is a smaller parking lot but we like coming in from this side. Depending on what time you get there, you may have a slight wait time to park but it is usually pretty quick and efficient. We usually arrive before 8:30am and have had no problem finding a spot. There are I believe at least 2 handicap spots at this entrance. They also have bathrooms available that are always clean and kept up. At the main entrance, entering from (otter creek). There is a welcome center with information and a small gift shop. Before bringing a stroller we would always go on the trail through the park woods but now with our baby and taking a stroller we take the paved path which was just redone and is SO nice!!! Strollers and bikes are not permitted on the dirt path so keep that in mind. There is so much beauty to look at while enjoying a nice peaceful walk. Eagles, owls, deer, frogs, turtles, birds, and more creatures to look at all while visiting Radnor. It is a staple as a local to get outdoors and into fresh air. This parking lot is smaller, but we were surprised to find a spot easily. When we left around 10:45, there was a line of about 6 cars waiting, though cars seemed to move through fairly quickly. There is a nice bathroom at the top of the parking lot. From this entrance, you can also access the trail along the lake, though strollers and dogs are not allowed on that trail. We chose the lower paved trail instead (part of the mulch trail loop). It's wide -- almost road-sized -- and newly paved the entire way. It took about 15 minutes to reach the lake, and there's plenty more paved trail beyond that. We saw frogs, ducks, turtles, deer, an owl, and even a bald eagle. My kids stayed engaged the whole time. The trail was flat and easy for stroller pushing, and my older kids rode scooters without any issues. There were lots of families, dogs, and walkers out, but it never felt overcrowded. Overall, this is a great near-the-city option for getting young kids into nature without dealing with steep terrain. The other entrance off Granny White has the visitor center and a bit more parking.

The Basement - Arcade, Game Tables, Virtual Reality, Rock Climbing and Party Rooms is in the lower level and is open to all guests. Check-In was seamless where I received my wristband which was hood for the entire day. There is an elevator for those with strollers, wheelchairs, scooters or mobility challenges who can't do the stairs. I spent my time in the adults only area and practically had the space all to myself. There's an LED screen where the main pool is that plays music videos from a variety of artists. Once you get hungry from all that activity, Decibels has good and drinks. There's also a full bar in the adults only area. It was a perfect way to relax and wind down from a very BUSY conference. Wish I could've spent more time there! The SoundWaves store has a variety of items such as swimwear, towels, hats, sunscreen and toiletries.

I had the opportunity to plan a bachelorette party for a group of girls from out of town in Nashville! I myself was visiting Nashville and stumbled upon New Boots Line Dancing on FB, and was honestly the best activity that I could have planned for our party weekend! Our class session was amazing with service and genuine hospitality! I wish we had more time to have taken another class. You could be an experienced dancer or a newbie and the class would be fun! There was a mix of very experienced dancers and people who just like to go out and have a good time. Everyone rated this on their top fav. for activities in Nashville! This class was the highlight of our Bachelorette weekend! We had nine girls in our group, and everyone is still raving about this part of the trip! The room was air conditioned and Jess provided non-alcoholic refreshments for us to enjoy! We were welcome to BYOB as well, which helped relax us all before our Line Dancing debut! We were also given Koozies to take home! As a group, i'd definitely say we are not the best dancers, however, Jess made us feel so comfortable and like we were pros! Everyone loved learning the two dance routines! At the end, we even filmed a music video! This was great to receive a few days later to remind us of what a blast we had! My friends and I celebrated my birthday with New Boots and had a total blast. Jess was an amazing instructor who broke down the dances by move and played all our favorite current country hits (Body Like a Backroad forever, please.). My friends and I live in Nashville but we were looking for something unique to do without going to the cheesy inauthentic tourist traps. We were a small group of three but it would be fun for any group size, any age, or anybody. It was so much fun to learn moves we could take to Broadway (in case of Line Dancing Emergency) which is close by. If you're visiting in town this is the perfect Nashville tradition to add to your trip! read more

I had the BEST time with New Boots learning how to line dance! My friends and I took a class for my birthday and had so much fun- one of my friends has already planned to do her birthday there as well! The instructors were great and definitely make the class tons of fun- they even provided drinks for our crew :) We all feel like real cowgirls now and love showing off our new moves! This was actually really fun! The minute my friends and I walked in we were greeted with champagne and beer and got comfortable. Our teacher Jess was great at going at our group's pace, and it was just a hilarious relaxed time. We were all surprised at how much fun it was with our uncoordinated group (none of us can really dance). After our class we all just walked downtown to the Honkytonks and kept the party going. We went to Nashville this past weekend for my sister's bachelorette party and I was trying to find an activity that was fun and didn't revolve around drinking! We Hosted a surprise birthday party in our home in Nashville to celebrate our sons 49th birthday with his family and his friends in TN and from afar, Puerto Rico ,Colombia and Ecuador . The surprise event was the private class of country line dancing at our home. Andrea is a personable fun and capable instructor. We booked a 1 hour line dancing lesson for an instructor to come out to our Airbnb for a bachelorette party and everyone had so much fun!! Andréa was absolutely wonderful--she taught us 2 different line dances, working with us step by step and starting with a slower tempo until everyone had it down. We had a group of 15 girls who took a class. We loved it! We arrived early and they let us sit and eat our lunch and drink some beers beforehand. Our instructor was awesome! We learned 3 different dances and were able to pick our favorite to be recorded. This was a fun activity during the day for our bachelorette weekend! Highly recommend!! read more
