I really love the Seminole Pink Hibiscus. I purchased all they had last year but unfortunately I was out of town when the freeze happened & they all died. Anyway, no one has them, so I stopped in to inquire about them & the staff was so sweet to text me later on to tell me they could order them for me! Yay!!! Sub-par customer service (Pete). Called to speak to manager reference bad customer service (manager not there), left name and phone number and did not receive a callback. Grass received substandard. Person with whom I tried to call indicated that grass purchased should be purchased "later in April", my thought is, if grass is substandard and they know it then they should not sell the product. The company as a whole (this experience) has failed and until issues are resolved I remain unsatisfied. Update. Received call from Jeff, manager, who went on to explain centipede "looks like this this time of year". Asked for me to send pictures which I now have. Sent a Facebook message asking if they had house plants. "We Have a full nursery!". Was their response. A couple days later I made the 30 minute drive only to find a few fiddle leaf figs and very sad succulents planted in animal cement shaped planters with no drainage directly in front of the store. Inside was a table full of orchids who had all lost their blooms and were on "sale" for $13. Upon leaving a very nice lady asked if she could help me. I asked her where I could find the rest of the house plants. She pointed to other side of the parking lot and informed me they didn't have a big selection due to Covid. Checking it out, they had a few Monstera deliciosa, Boston and asparagus ferns. Ya know, the same crap Walmart and Home Depot always have. I thought I was saving time by contacting them before I made the drive. Now I feel like they are a used car sales man, knowing that they only had junk, but were hoping I'd blow money if they could get me to come in. If they would have told me they were low on house plants I would have been happy to follow up every couple weeks until they got in a shipment. We have spent literally thousands of dollars at Woener's over the last two year. Earlier this year, we bought a rock - (a 2000+ pound rock - roughly $600) - we had it delivered and the driver said he had other deliveries and couldn't take the pallets back. He advised putting them at the road and the city would pick it up. Well they won't .. Went to Woerner's looking to spend another couple hundred dollars and my husband talked to the person at the counter who said that the pallets weren't their responsibility. She goes above and beyond for clients because she herself is a client!! She has pets and wants the best for her dog so she is extremely compassionate to other pet parents! The only place to go for turf! These guys are slammed constantly. People constantly complaining about the look of their sod etc. Well I will tell you, I have been in this business for a long time. If you buy centepede expect it to look like garbage when it's on the pallet. You could sneeze hard on centepede and it will turn brown. But woerner centepede has always greened up beautiful if properly cared for by the homeowner or business installed for. If you want better sod. Spend more money and get real turf. Zoysia or even St Augustine. If you don't want sod web worms in your sod make sure you don't buy sod and plan a job from July through September. These guys do the best they can in an industry that has so many millions of variables that could go wrong. But for them rarely ever do. They have never let me down. As far as management he is second to none. Pete- is the human horticulture handbook. Staff is courteous and helpful. And oh yeah they are human. So when you all post one star remember that they cant control the climate, how much you know about caring for turf, how much you are going to water your turf and for how long . First turf delivery went off as planned with call prior to delivery. Driver courteous. Sod looked good. Next 2 pallets of Turf delivered on wrong day - Saturday afternoon. We were home watching TV all day, but no one called or came to the door although 2 cars were visible. Was supposed to call day of delivery which could have stopped incorrect delivery date. All sprinklers were clearly flagged with standard red flags, but you could see the tread marks going over them through the dirt and existing grass that was not being replaced. Checked the sprinklers which had all been checked by professional at Garvey Irrigation prior to this delivery and resulted in 2 broken sprinklers. Plenty of space to have placed pallets anywhere other than on the sprinklers or driving over them. Half pallet ordered was completely missing on 2nd delivery. After initially blaming contractor, Woerner agreed to redeliver sod. Called to confirm redelivery on the date redelivery was expected after no call by 1pm Becca we didn't want to miss them, but the person on phone was short and rude to my husband when he only asked if they were coming that day. Delivery occurred after 5:30 on date expected. Delivery driver was cursing so loud that I could hear him Inside my house and the neighbors kids could hear him. Apparently he was upset about the redelivery and was 'discussing' it with the contractor. St Augustine sod majority was yellow and obviously had been cut and left to sit somewhere day or two before the date of delivery. Called back to speak to the manager morning of next business day due to time of delivery, so far no call back. I'd be embarrassed to send out sod to a customer looking like this in a non-winter season. If manager responds, will update review & star rating accordingly. So far I am hearing recent negative experiences with this company from local lawn care and landscapers. This company has had a long standing in our community and had a pretty good reputation and we have used them years ago. Not sure what's happening here now, but for sod purchases, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more
