I found the house I bought prior to calling her to represent me in the purchase - which should have made her job pretty damn easy, but this isn't a 1 star review for nothing. Or I guess it is, since nothing was the best I could say came from this professional relationship. Prior to closing, she was extremely unresponsive about drafting the purchase agreement - it got to the point of desperation for me that I began to type out the whole contract with changes, as she couldn't or wouldn't provide the file so I could make the changes myself, yet was slow and terribly inaccurate making the changes herself. It was frustrating, especially as the changes were pretty simple, but took several revisions (proofreading is a good idea when you're revising contracts - you'd hope they covered that in the real estate licensure class, but apparently not). Maybe if you're selling she'll be more on the ball, but I really would strongly recommend any prospective buyers in the area to go with a different realtor - or just find a good lawyer and see if you can represent yourself. I wish I had.

Elliot, the person who 'managed' the house I rented, lied month after month, from small things to big things, like it was running through his veins. It was extraordinary. At no point have they met the terms of my lease, a lease I drove across country for. When I got to the house after 7 days of driving? No screens and no woodstove. This is after I spent $2000 on wood. Rodent infestation, they never sent anyone. Bathtubs don't work, handle it on your own. More than two plumbers then refused to come, informing me that TPW Realty doesn't pay their bills. Ant infestation? Too bad for you. The burners on the stove don't work. They haven't been fixed. To boot? They included a 1500 small dog deposit on an uninsulated cabin that is falling down. The showers has holes! Why are they charging that when every other house, much nicer than theirs, charges at most 150 per animal? So that they can keep it and say there was 'damage'. I took videos of the house when I got here, just in case they were going to try to steal my deposit by saying I had done damage to the house. I did nothing but upgrade their house for them while paying full rent. After repeatedly telling me that I could renew the lease, I sunk 3k at least into the garden, 2k into custom shades, bottom deep freeze and a sofa to go with the house. I both called and texted Paul, the owner, several times without any response at all. Stay away. I am in the process of interviewing lawyers! I You will be too. Not sure how they've survived this long. I think because the homeowners don't realize what's happening. At all. UPDATE: Lawyer hired! Unbelievable. Most of vermont is amazing. but you do have pockets of crap like these people/company.

Whether or not I am looking for a million dollar home or a 100,000 cottage, I would expect a more courteous professional behavior regardless of what is happening in her life. I am sure Ms Allen has helped people in the past but in this instance her customer service was very unprofessional. She seemed to be more concerned with getting out of her office to do her Christmas Shopping, rather than spending a few moments to help a potential customer or at the very least ask if she could get back to me at a later time. The ultimate surprise was her hanging up on me. This was very UNPROFESSIONAL! I will not use her company now and I will not refer her company to any friends or people I know in New York or Vermont in the future.
