I found the house I bought prior to calling her to represent me in the purchase - which should have made her job pretty damn easy, but this isn't a 1 star review for nothing. Or I guess it is, since nothing was the best I could say came from this professional relationship. Prior to closing, she was extremely unresponsive about drafting the purchase agreement - it got to the point of desperation for me that I began to type out the whole contract with changes, as she couldn't or wouldn't provide the file so I could make the changes myself, yet was slow and terribly inaccurate making the changes herself. It was frustrating, especially as the changes were pretty simple, but took several revisions (proofreading is a good idea when you're revising contracts - you'd hope they covered that in the real estate licensure class, but apparently not). Maybe if you're selling she'll be more on the ball, but I really would strongly recommend any prospective buyers in the area to go with a different realtor - or just find a good lawyer and see if you can represent yourself. I wish I had.

They inspected our situation and instead of trying to sell us on retrofitting our old cellar, just advise us to get a back up sump pump. On leaving, Lucas noticed a cinderblock wall, unrelated to the flood, that was deteriorating and later came by to patch the section. When Lucas arrived to do the work, it was just as I was desperately trying to get my husband with ALS from bed to wheelchair. Lucas gently helped transferred him. After the cement job was done, Lucas refused to take any money and handed me a paper with his phone number on it saying, if you ever need help just call me. God bless him! These guys are honest, hardworking, kind and generous.

Buyer Be Ware!!! I hired Scott Harrington, in an attempt to…read moresupport local business and I was pleased at his quick response. He got me scheduled right away. I hired him to turn my water back on after having the pipes drained for winter, as I do every season. He also flipped the switches to turn power back on for my dehumidifier, sump pump and furnace, a 5 minute job that we usually do ourselves. However, when I received the bill, I was Blindsided!He was on site less than 1 & 1/2 hrs and charged me an additional 2 & 1/2 hrs labor at $98/ hr. for travel time. He did have to run and pick up a filter, and return to screw it on. I figured that he would charge me for travel. Bellows Falls and Westminster West are only 15 minutes apart. Scott charged me an additional 2 and 1/2 hrs labor at $98/hr. When I contacted him, thinking that he had made a mistake, he responded with, "it is what it is". I charged you from when I left, until I returned. I am happy to pay my way, but I'm not entertained by being taken advantage of. If you looking for someone to mistreat, take advantage and over charge you, you've got the right guy. I would recommend that you stay as far away from Scott Harrington and his business as possible.
