Over the years, I have visited many Chinese buffets. Wok and Roll is definitely the best that I have visited in many years. First, let me say, the sushi is of excellent quality. The chef was even willing to prepare special rolls upon request. I was also amazed by the quality of the hot food. The Pepper Steak and Coconut Shrimp were both superb. I have found my new favorite Chinese buffet! Walking in the lighting is slightly dim, buffet is very clean and seating is spacious. The food was very fresh and I did not feel like it was drowning in oil. I probably sampled a little of everything and enjoyed every single bite. I love the sushi bar, the rolls were not dry at all and they had options that other buffets do not have. The desserts are similar to other buffets except for a few minor items like scoop your own ice cream, with a wider flavor range than just chocolate and vanilla, and other little yummy desserts. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted right away. For 3 people at dinner it was around $40. Great place, will visit again! read more

This place is amazing. They are nothing short of genius. The buffet setup is away from the tables but still accessible, the music is really good; not too loud but you can still hear it. The customer service is great they are always friendly and ready to help. The food tastes amazing. The sushi bar is great all the food was labeled and stayed together when I picked it up with chopsticks. Bottom line is I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I went there a few days ago on my 57th Birthday with a friend. It's a beautiful space with excellent food. If you like sushi, the quality is excellent and it's all you can eat. A great selection of soups, appetizers and entree's. Also fresh fruit and a great selection of desserts! I didn't notice until we were leaving but that have a huge selection of ice cream too! Being that it was also my Birthday, I got a % discount for my Birthday years. My friend was buying and so it was a very nice discount. He comes there every weekend. I was excited to try this place based on reviews but everything we tasted like it was old. My stomach wasn't feeling very well after trying the meat and hot veggies so I went for soup, fruit and ice cream. The meat was tough and dry (they had a bucket of water they were going around with and putting water directly on fish and other items to keep them from drying out), the fried rice even had that day old soggy look to it, little cakes were hard and stale. I went for ice cream thinking that would be fine, but it was very soft as if it wasn't being kept cold enough. I didn't eat much other than fruit and what I sampled but didn't like. read more

Extremely overpriced!!! I went on their "special" and it was still 35 dollars for the wife and I. While the restaurant is clean and looks nice, the food is nothing special. In fact I think the Chinese buffet on Valencia and Midvale is better and cheaper. The server did not even give me a refill on my drink. I know it's a buffet place, but the servers on Valencia are always quick to bring refills and check on you. Overall, I think this isn't the worse Chinese buffet I've tried, but there are way better places in Tucson that are cheaper and give better service. read more

The sushi selection is actually pretty good, even though a lot of it is sauced and/or California-esque but we came for dinner and got crab legs and lobster as well as the sushi selection, the staff were attentive, the bathroom was clean (it matters!) and I saw a consistent rotation of food to make sure nothing sat empty or hit bad temps. I feel like a lot of reviewers had too high of an expectation for a buffet...For a buffet, it far exceeded my expectations on the sushi, desserts, and general selection and cleanliness. I wasn't a fan of some of the Chinese dishes but that's the great thing about buffets - variety! The price is a little higher than most Chinese buffets, but most Chinese buffets don't offer all of the seafood you can get here. You get what you pay for, in my opinion. read more

I'm not gonna lie, I have never been a fan of buffets, especially Asian ones. Why? Because I've always hated the thought that the health department write ups are true. However, this one particular buffet relieved me of such an idea. The times we have gone in, it's very clean. They even have attendants standing next to the food to ensure the areas are kept clean. Sooo, with that, I was able to eat comfortably. On the food....I have to say, it's AMAZINGLY AWESOME! It's not the sloppy, quick food most buffets hurriedly put out, just to make you feel special. You can tell the cooks make the food as though it's made to order. The fried rice is "real". Not a rice they threw together to appease the name. The crab legs, yum! The sushi, even more tasty. I was pleasantly surprised that overall, it would be a buffet I would definitely want to return to. I'm glad I finally got to try this place! My last experience with U-like killed buffets for a long time. I gave this a shot in a friends recommendation and theu wede right. Everything tasted great. Not too salty and not too sweet. I loved the crab rangoons and the dumplings! They were the right consistency and very flavorful. The sushi was surprisingly good for buffet style sushi, the eel/avocado roll was the best of th bunch. And to top it off.....Bluebell ice cream. Yummmmmmmmmy. The place it was also very clean. Before it was a dump with no zazz...the make ove here is incredibly stylish and pleasant. Speaking of pleasant, the service was quite nice as well! I used to eat here frequently(once a week) but the past few trips the food has been bland, and recently has been giving sour stomachs. We are here two times in the past week, and both trips it was very warm inside the restaurant, and that's saying a lot because I keep my house at 80*! The staff is always friendly though and the sushi used to be the best deal in town for the price. We won't be visiting here much anymore though. read more

The review and rating is definitely inaccurate. I love Chinese food but this place couldnt keep their food fresh and likely used days old food to feed customers. Items here are typical of what you can find at any Chinese buffet. What I cannot stand was the fact that the food were days old. I came back to this dumpster for one last hoorah. Let me tell you. I had the worst case of runs, literally dying and coming back to life in the bathroom I had to go to the ER they basically resurected me & gave me painkillers. what kinda people are you. Just visiting Tucson and looked for takeout after a long drive. Wife got shrimp and broccoli. It was both good and plentiful. I got the buffet to go. All was great, especially the salt and pepper shrimp and the green beans. Went back the next night and both got buffet to go. Once again , all was well prepared and fresh. Last minute decision to check this out. We were surprised by the $12.95 on a Monday night, but it looked clean so decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the hot and sour soup and the sushi. My husband really liked the crab casserole. No need to hurry back, but we left satisfied. read more

I've grown up with Chinese buffets being a kind of restaurant I would go to often. I drive by this place almost every day and decided to finally try it. And God was I disappointed. I've read the reviews of people hyping the place up but in reality all the food is very plain and generic. The only thing that surprised me was the canned lychee which I'm a sucker for. There are a couple things that are unique like fried crab but that was a little too salty for my taste. The hot and sour soup was the worst one I've ever tried and the Lo mein and orange chicken tasted plain while the sweet and sour chicken was for some reason chewy and tasted old even though I watched the worker bring out a fresh batch. And there is the sushi but it's mostly rolls you would expect from a buffet but they added spicy mayo and now it's a new and exciting roll. They also have squid and seaweed salad which were ok for foods that likely came from a package. Maybe the best thing was the ice cream but for a buffet that doesn't serve soft serve, it's easy to get that right. I gave a single star because for the price, this place was very mediocre and I can already tell I'm never coming back or recommending this place. For an extra $5 you can eat all you can eat sushi at sushi garden. And that's only the weekend price. Weekdays is $12 and weekend is $16 read more

It might be that this review is a result of my cutting way back on processed foods in recent years. I have noticed since doing that if there are too many ingredients in a dish it tends to taste muddy like a oil painting that has been overworked. So take this with a grain of salt (pun intended) I've eaten here twice. I found the sushi side of the restaurant good. The cooked side of things however with the exception of the coconut shrimp was mundane at best. I don't know if it's because they use the same oil to cook everything in, but it seemed like no matter what I ate, everything tasted the same. You know how when you sit down to a home cooked meal after a few bites you're ready for some other taste to be in you mouth so you move from your meat dish to your veggie dish? This is my favorite buffet to go to when I'm in town. The crab legs was awesome and worth the price. Everything was so delishes and our server Henry was wonderful to my group of 12 at today's visit. The worst customer service I think I have ever had in my life. Host right away rubbed me the wrong way. Should of been my queue to go. But I stayed for their way over priced "Sunday Seafood Buffet" that only included some dry crab legs! I was rushed and the servers hardly knew any English. After spending close to $100 in the restaurant I was treated rudely by the host and also the "owner" who was sitting at the front allowing his employee to treat his customers down right like the scum of the earth. My grandmother who will be turning 70 next month was mocked and told no one ever has a problem with our sign "what you can't read" as we are leaving the restaurant. My family and I love this place!! My boyfriend craves it, which is a good thing since sushi garden costs way too much. My daughter loves the fresh fruit and cooked green beans (which it's hard to find a 3yr old who loves them).
