I had a maintenance appointment scheduled months ago for today between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one called or texted to let me know the technician was running late. When I called, I was met with an AI phone system. After repeatedly asking to speak with a real person, I finally reached someone, but she couldn't provide any information because dispatch wasn't responding to her either. As I write this, I'm still waiting for my technician to arrive. The excellent customer service was the main reason I chose this company and purchased a service contract. This experience has been extremely disappointing. At a minimum, current contract customers should have been notified that the company had been sold and reassured that service would continue without disruption. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this company.

The first time was okay, I let him inside (during COVID) even though he was doing outdoor work so he could see the space. He never wore a mask, didn't even have one, and no shoe covers either. The next time I asked him to wear a mask and I had to provide one to him. The next time (yes, this has been almost two months and the project still isn't complete) he showed up to the job with a dead drill? He needed to plug it into my house to charge, and then just sat in his van half an hour letting it juice up. We wanted two over-door lights and two outdoor outlets put in. He would leave siding open on the house showing the insulation and then leave for days at a time, even during rain storms. The last time he came over he slammed so hard that the plaster wall cracked INSIDE the house! We had two switches to be fixed inside, he did one then sat down and said he was too tired for the day and needed to go home. So he just.... left? Still hasn't been fixed. Now it's been three and a half weeks since he "finished" the project and guess what? The switches for the outdoor lights are swapped. One side of the duplex controls the other side's outdoor lights and vice versa. We've been calling this whole time to get him to return and fix the work, but no one has showed up.

We had a new water heater installed…read more We needed a certified electrician to come and install a quick disconnect and a ground as things needed to be up to code for the city inspector. Because the numbers of our house were written incorrectly on the invoice, it did take the electrician a little longer to find us. The work was done correctly and well. I wore a mask, but the electrician did not. I did need to sign paperwork etc, so it might have been a good idea if they would wear masks while in a customers home. I understand paying for diagnostic time, but $300 for this visit felt very expensive, and I wish the additional charges had been clearer when I scheduled. Update: I appreciate the business owner commenting on their charge process. The technician specifically noted charging me for 45 minutes, and I have an email time stamped 45 minutes after he started work. Also, none of the paperwork notes that the initial charge includes 30 minutes of time, which further emphasizes my point about transparency. Update: Update: I previously listed the wrong dollar amounts, so I am correcting them after reviewing my invoice. I was charged $149 for the diagnostic visit plus $130 for an additional 45 minutes of labor, for a total of $292.95 with tax. After the business stated that the technician spent approximately 75 minutes diagnosing my AC, I requested their timestamped records. Their records show that at 12:38 PM I signed their Customer Acknowledgement stating that "all work has been completed," and my invoice was emailed at 12:40 PM. However, they are counting time through 12:51 PM toward the 75-minute visit based on their tracking system. I disputed the additional labor charge and requested a refund. The company refused and offered only a credit toward future service, which I declined. My concern is not that diagnostic work costs money. My concern is being charged for diagnostic labor that I do not believe is supported by the company's own records.
