Joe did our annual service this year and was excellent, as Nimmer always has been for us over the years. We have multiple units that are impeccably serviced and maintained by their technicians. They always let you know when they are on the way, are always on time and always provide a name and photo of who is coming. If you are hesitant to try a new service, I recommend this one. Nimmer has been very helpful and flexible with services, when my furnace blower was dying and with replacing the furnaces and ac's. The technicians have gone above and beyond, especially Pat and Josh. My house is crazy, and it presented problems that weren't expected, and they came up with solutions to those problems. Who doesn't feel a bit wary when contacting someone for repair services for their car, appliances, or HVAC system? For me that is especially true when I have no idea what is wrong. I can understand a flat tire, washer that will not drain, or a freezer that is defrosting constantly. But a high-pressure air conditioning system that keeps cycling off? CLUELESS. I lucked out by calling Nimmer. Their scheduling staff asked questions, offered windows for scheduling a time, told me about minimum charges for assessment, and informed me about what to expect. Within minutes I got a confirmation text. The day of the appointment, they sent a brief bio of the technician and his picture. (At first, I thought this was a bit much, but then remembered that not everyone feels as familiar with construction staff or technicians in their homes.) Then I got another message when he was on his way, well within the appointment window. Joe DeRose is a personable, communicative, instructive technician. He asked lots of questions -- possibly intuiting also that he would eventually really need to break things down for me. Upon completing the assessment, Joe showed me measures of a dozen variables that could be contributing to the issues, pointed to the two most likely ones, got my okay to proceed, then finished the work. When Joe left, I went outside and downstairs to move the things that he needed to shift to do his work, but he had already returned them to their original position. There was no debris, no mess. I would also add that many repair services have employed some interesting tools to smooth their transactions with customers. I often find these meaningless because they are window dressing that do not equate with actual skill. Not the case with Nimmer! I will definitely use Nimmer for annual service calls, too. read more

I had them install compressor in 2024 with 10 year warranty. This year it failed so I called for service. But they are closed Thurs and Fri, so service took message. No return call til Mon. Scheduled tech but after waiting beyond Scheduled hours, found he was running late, but no call to me. Rescheduled, tech timely. Quoted price for repair, which I okd. However he added $150 for final bill, saying he forgot diagnostic time. Not using this place again, be careful using them in the future. ​ read more

November 12, 2025 update on Nimmer Heating & Air Conditioning. I had Nimmer install entire HVAC system July 17, 2024. At that time, I gave them a 10 out of 10 rating for the installation of that time. I paid $14,999.00 in full on July 17, 2024 after install. If I could give them a zero rating as today, I would. October 2024 when I first turned on furnace, I received an error message on my Bryant Connex Control thermostat and called Nimmer. They sent the head installer Pat to fix the problem with a sensor I believe. No problems with installer Pat, Josh with July 2024 install of AC, or furnace at that time. February 2025, I received another error message on my Bryant Connex Control thermostat and no heat from furnace on a weekend and I had to call Nimmer emergency number for no heat on a cold November day, and I welcomed Josh from Nimmer to quick fix furnace on his off day, and he had to order a part, which was delivered and fixed by Josh in a day or two. Since the July 2024 install, I agreed to their maintenance program for AC & furnace. My first appointment was May 2025 for the AC. I received a call from Nimmer that they had to cancel & reschedule, and I agreed. Now, comes September 2025, I made my furnace tune-up appointment, and I was told November 11, 2025. Again, I received a 7:15am call from Nimmer they had to cancel, which disappointed me because I knew filters had to be changed on both furnace & Aprilaire humidifier, and they rescheduled for the following week November 18, 2025. I told the dispatcher I was angry, and she reported me to a Maria Silva that came up with excuses on the cancelation because the tech called in sick. I mentioned to MS Silva, they need one of their other techs to do the job, like any other company would. Twice MS Silva emailed me nasty emails that she canceled my membership plan and no more contact with them and a refund would be sent to me. Very Petty, just for me complaining about, not one, but two cancelations since the July 2024 install. I no longer can recommend Nimmer Heating & AC. I'm done with them! This is due to two emails sent from Maria Silva, a very petty person! Here is the last MS Silva's email, I received today 11/12/2025. The team will not be responding. I am your escalation point. All communication will need to be through email going forward for recordkeeping for the both of us. No other contact will be taken nor received. We will not be taking any in person visits. As I said, the decision is final. I have attached your product warranty to provide to the next provider for convenience. Update: The refund will be via check and sent out in US mail tomorrow. Mainly, because, I was disappointed in, not one, but two tune-up cancelations, a May 2025 AC & a November 11, 2025, plus the fact, I had two error messages on my Bryant thermostat last winter, one October 2024, after only turning on my furnace during cold weather, and the 2nd February 2025, both needing parts for a furnace less that a year old, and needing parts. I had no heat on the February 2025 weekend problem and had to call Nimmer emergency contact number. Both times times, needing parts. MS Sliva is a liar on her comment, and let the pasted emails from her to see what Nimmer Heating is since original owner Mark Nimmer sold the business in April 2022, but new owners kept the Nimmer name for company, which is a disgrace to the Nimmer name & today's business. MS Silva has taken a good company down, and let her pasted emails prove my point. I am done with Nimmer, as long as she is there, and will never recommend Nimmer Heating & AC. Today, I made calls to replace Nimmer with a more reputable dealership. Her emails are below. Nimmer Heating is terminating your membership and your refund via check sent out on 11/13 will be provided back to make you whole of all financials. My husband and I live in a 90 year old home with a broiler system. Our heat went out on the top floor and we couldn't get it back up in running. We made a few calls to local places, no one could get us in on the day of the call. We then came across Nimmer and gave it a shot. They were super helpful on the phone and were able to get us in that day. We were told an original time but they checked in with us and let us know it was going to be pushed back which was very appreciative! Blake was our broiler guy that showed up. Very nice. We were most likely his last stop of the day and he didn't short his service at all! Stayed till the project was done. Talked it through with my dad and husband. And then let us know he was on call all weekend should anything happen. The heat works great! I now have a new place that I'll use and recommend to friends and family! Disappointing. Really friendly technician but seemed incapable. Reached out about AC unit that had stopped working. Nimmer technician was able to come quickly and was polite/wonderful- told us that we didn't have power to unit and that we would need to call an electrician. Charged us for service visit fee and "advanced diagnostics" fee. Seemed a bit expensive to just tell us the unit didn't have power... Tech was at property for max 20min and had checked all breakers. Electrician visited and reported that it was just a tripped breaker. Had issue fixed in 10min and charged $60 instead of the almost $200 that Nimmer charged us. Called Nimmer management and they insisted that there must be some other underlying issue and insisted that their technician had checked all the breakers. When it comes time to replace the entire system I will surely be calling someone a bit more capable! read more

Nimmer Heating & Air installed our furnace at least two decades ago and it's been running strong. A few months ago it stopped working (of course on a Friday night when it was freezing!) and we called Nimmer. Beth was sympathetic, professional and quickly arranged for Joe to come on Monday. He got it up and running. Unfortunately, the furnace went down again and this time Blake came. He was excellent. He showed us what was happening and not only gave us some tips on how to figure out what was wrong but how to correct them. Blake listened to our needs and didn't try to upsell us. Great service from start to finish. The technician, Jake, was delayed arriving from an earlier repair job, but the communications were good and the team seemed flexible to adjust the visit as needed to meet my afternoon schedule. Jake arrived and diagnosed the issue. It was a somewhat unique situation, so he was attempting to get additional support from the manufacturer, but they had him on hold for an extensive period of time. While waiting, he used the time constructively to check that the other parts of the furnace were all working properly. We then discussed the issue and his concerns. He thoroughly walked me through what was happening and we agreed on a course of action. I was very pleased with his honest analysis and the time he took to find the best solution, while not wasting time or money. No pressure, honest, professional. Nimmer has always been our "go to" place for our heating and cooling needs. We have bought 4 air/furnance units in the past 25 years for mulitple properties and have been treated good and had honest feed back with any repairs, etc. Today we had Mike Kurth come out to check our furnance because it had stopped working. Mike quickly discovered the problem and helped us make a decision how to proceed by checking for warranties and parts. We really appreciate Mike's honesty and hard work! I recently had a mid-winter furnace disaster and was desperate for a reputable company that could come install a new furnace immediately. I called up Nimmer fairly late in the evening (around 6pm) and was expecting to leave a voicemail. I was surprised that an after-hours line was available. The woman I spoke to was very kind and helpful. She assured me that a technician would call me within the hour. Sure enough, I was able to speak to a tech that evening who told me that I could have a new furnace installed within 48 hours. Two days later, I had a new furnace up and running! Everyone that I interacted with at Nimmer was friendly, professional, and eager to help me, from the office team to the technicians who came out for the install. The quote was very fair for the amount of work that was involved. Overall, I could not have been happier with Nimmer. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

Well, unfortunately my "relationship" with this business did not have a smooth start and continues as such. I need a maintainance of the split unit they installed , which is not free by the way and an appointment was scheduled way a head of time. As usual no exact time was given, like from 8:00am to 2:00pm and that's why I took my time from work. At he service date around 11:30am I called them just to learn that nobody is going to be available. No phone call, no message, nothing. It is not a first time I had very unpleasant communication and really lousy service from this company. Needless to say that I am working as the physician and might be able to help people instead being treated disrespectfully. I won't recommend this company to anybody and quite honestly think that they should be penalized for handling the business so badly. read more

The following week I called again and left a message and again, no one called me back. I had an air conditioner unit from 1988. To say it was "under performing" would be kind... I called Nimmer Heating and Cooling as they had done furnace and gas work for me before. They came and evaluated the unit, their tech Kyle was thorough and gave me the bad news while still taking the time to make sure the unit was clean and would work as well as it could as is. Once I decided on a replacement the scheduled crew showed up on time and got right to work. I needed to be in the office so they were on their own until lunch when I came back to find Tyler just finishing up the install. He walked me around the new unit and explained what they did to get it installed and pointed out a couple things they did to ensure a good install. (#1 rule of Customer Service - do a good job....Rule #2 Make sure the customer KNOWS what you did!) The system works great, the install is clean, but the service is what has been really outstanding! I never leave people in my house alone...I am happy to say that I trust Mark Nimmer and by proxy I trust the guys he is willing to send to treat my home with care and respect- even when I am not looking! read more

Our 23 year old boiler gave up the ghost over a weekend. Service responded quickly and determined control system was shot. Mark came out the following Monday to determine next steps. Old boiler not cost effective to repair; Mark provided a quote the same day with system choices. We had the new system up and running within days. My furnace was acting up so I called Nimmers. Talked with Beth who was extremely helpful. She set up a visit for me and then called me 30 min before to let me know they were on their way. Blake came in and checked it out. He ran tests on it and even checked out the exhaust outside. Came back in and informed me the furnace not operating safely. He gave me a few different options and price points, and without any pressure I decided to purchase a new one. Between Blake & Beth they worked to find any discounts or refunds to get me the best price avail. Which I appreciated seeing that I'm a limited budget. Setup crew came and worked quickly, cleanup up after themselves. Had work done over the summer to install a new smart thermostat. Nest recommends a professional install for the thermostat to work with a humidifier, so I called Nimmer on the recommendation of a friend. We had problems back then with technician not showing up on time and then rude phone customer service with their office staff. I was frustrated with the experience but ultimately the work was done and I just let it go. Fast forward to winter and when I need the thermostat to control my humidity only to find the system does not work. Nest has a very clear diagram of how to wire the system with the humidifier but Nimmer's people did it their own way. So I started with late and rude service, now I have poor technical service. I called to ask for a technician to evaluate and fix the problem and was told they are too busy to even schedule a service call--not tomorrow, not next week, not ever. What kind of service or follow up for your own work is that? If I were told "We are very busy now, but since you have heat and no real urgency, can we schedule you for a couple weeks in the future", I would understand and be fine with it. I really just need this fixed so I called back to speak with Mark Nimmer who was "unavailable" to take my call and did not return my call as requested. My only option is to pay another service provider to come out and fix Nimmer's errors, hopefully with a more pleasant and competent experience. read more
