    Gap in putty to furnace.

    I was just called for my annual furnace checkup, this reminded me to post a review. These checkups are not cheap and they don't include a filter change (addition cost). Please see the four pictures I took after the checkup. In my opinion- 1) The furnace door should have been cleaned and a new filter should be included (knowing they can buy in bulk and supply the filter for much cheaper than I can purchase). 2) The holes left in the ductwork initially should have been covered up, and definitely should have been caught during the maintenance check. 3) The gap in the putty should have been closed up, super easy. 4) The furnace maintenance sticker should have been documented as being completed. None of these issue were difficult for me to complete, but when you are paying for maintenance, I don't see why they didn't do the basics. FYI- I was told the warranty may not be honored if I don't have their maintenance completed, I guess I'll press my luck. FYI(2), Purchased 6 filters (bulk discounted) online making them $5 less per filter than what they were quoting me.

Calling them and booking everything was so easy. They came and gave an estimate - then rolled in the price of the estimate into the work since we decided to go with them. They were less expensive than another company I looked at so I decided to go with them and they did a great job! One of the light fixtures I bought was broken (unknown to me) and they didn't even tell me until later that they went to get a replacement for me and didn't charge me for it! Admittedly they were unsure if they broke it, but either way it was nice that they took care of it without needing me to go get and pay for the replacement. They even vacuumed after themselves to clean up. Could not recommend more!

None could be given except that I would receive a call thirty minutes prior to the arrival. At 2:30 in the afternoon the call finally happened and he said he'd be here in 20 minutes. The technician arrived and within 15 minutes I was told that he'd have to run diagnostic testing. I had to sign off off on the paperwork charging me over $300 or I could pay the $75 trip charge and nothing would be completed. Of course after waiting a week and most of the day I signed the contract. 15 minutes later the problem was identified and fixed, a ridiculous amount of money was charged. I do not recommend this company!!! Although the work was completed within 35 minutes start to finish, the amount of money spent was way over the top! I'm more than sure another company could have done just as good a job, given me a time frame when they would arrive and charged me less than half of what I was charged. Shame on Current Electric.

I was extremely happy with how clean and professional the job was done, they were prompt and efficient.

    James charged me way beyond his quote, refused to itemize the bill for me, and then began calling…read moreme names and threatening me. We hired an architect to draw up plans for our basement so that we could get exact quotes from our contractors. We hired James Electric as one of those contractors and they quoted the job. We were surprised when the bill came back much higher than originally quoted. Also, the electricians forgot 3 lights that were on the plan. They charged us a trip charge to come back for their mistake, and added on the lights to the invoice. When I brought this up to them, they refused to even consider that it was their mistake even though I had highlighted it on the plan. I asked them to itemize the invoice so that I could see where the additional charges came from. I would have been happy to pay in addition to the quote if I saw the charges. I never heard from them until 3 months later when they sent me yet another invoice. I called to talk to the owner- Jim. I told him I'd like an itemization of the bill and he began yelling at me, refusing and telling me he would send me to collections. I insisted on the itemized bill, and then he began calling me names.

The guy said he needed to take some measurements, and before I had a chance to respond, he went down the hallway and looked in all the bedrooms. He then asked if there was anyone else in the house. As a woman alone in a house, this is a very unsettling question. He then quoted me over $5000 for the 4 can lights in the kitchen plus 4 more in the living room. He said I also needed to replace old outlets in the bedroom. (Now I know why he wanted to look in the bedrooms.) He said I also needed to install a dimmer switch, a second switch for the lights, and a whole house surge protector. I said I only wanted the can lights and one dimmer. He then quoted me $4600 for the kitchen lights, 2 dimmer switches, and the surge protector. I again said I only wanted the kitchen lights. He then got a "manager" on the phone who stated that it would be "foolish to pass up such a good deal". He asked me which package I wanted to sign up for. I said I would need to think about it. A year later, I am still getting texts to set up appointments with them. I went with a different company that charged me $1100 for a master electrician to install 5 can lights and a dimmer switch. The other electrician said that I did not need those other things, and even if I did, $4600 was a ridiculously high quote. I would not recommend this company.
