Settled into the John Rich room on the first floor. I am a single traveler and the room has everything that I need with class and comfort- plush robes, snack basket, small TV, bed with a heating element, radiated heat, luxurious bedding and a place to hang my suit jacket/etc. Being a boutique inn, a main area is historic and inviting. There is a living area, a side seating area with fireplace, kitchen, several nooks with coffee/tea, many areas with snacks, cookies, cereal and granola bars. Plus the front porch that is cozy and has a view of the neighborhood. By the bed is a shelf with lotion, soaps and shampoos, but the best is a pillow spray that is subtle. This room is the perfect size for my travel needs and has a commode behind a privacy wall - towels, makeup towel and Sage/white tea spray in the cabinet above. A corner shower and wood/marble sink with wood mirror brings it all into the ambiance of the room. I sent videos to my family and they wish that they were with me. The mother-daughter duo service is much appreciated. The attention to good communication, there is great information on check in/stay and beyond. This is historical comfort with a taste of home.

I did not wake up on time to try their morning breakfast that ends at 9 am. I did frequent the coffee available down stairs in the lobby each day. The coffee was decent and hit the spot for my morning caffeine fix. The room was lovely. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows. I also like the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower. The room had a small fridge, coffee maker, and purchasable large bottles of water ($4 each). Overall my stay was pleasant. The only thing I did not like was my housekeeping came while the Do Not Disturb sign was on my door. I was there for a short stay and I fid not need fresh towels or my bed made but they did it anyways.

It was hot and very tasty. The owner wasn't there, but Megan did a great job of filling in. Everything about the room was perfect. The closet had a fridge and Kuerig with not just coffee! (Thank you as I love hot cocoa), the king bed was comfy and luxurious. It had a cute reading nook but the bathroom was spectacular. If I ever build a house this would be what I would add. The suite was well stocked with bubble bath, candles, nice towels and the comfiest robes. Bonus for Halloween candy! I would recommend this to anyone. We can't wait to come back.

To say we…read morewere pleased is an understatement--this was by far the best stay I've ever had in any hotel/inn, anywhere. We stayed in the Hunt Suite, which was beautifully appointed. We had all of the comforts of home: a fireplace, a fridge, a gigantic bed, a large en-suite bathroom, and a huge jacuzzi bathtub (big enough for the two of us to enjoy together!). Breakfast was served at our requested time and we enjoyed it both in our room an in the dining room with other guests, depending on the day. De Ann is an absolutely fantastic cook; her breakfasts aren't to be missed. While we didn't spend much time in it, there is a lovely back garden with a screened in gazebo, a bubbling fountain, and yard games for your enjoyment. The Roost is conveniently located close to Neenah, downtown Appleton, and about 30 minutes south of Green Bay. There's even a lovely house dog, Zada, who was very excited to greet us and give us all the kisses we could ask for. We will most certainly be back and are recommending Roost Bed & Breakfast to every single person we've met, both in Wisconsin and elsewhere.
