My family and I have never been to a campground before and stayed in the Blue Lagoon cottage on the resort. It was clean, beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed. We had no idea what to expect but the staff was very helpful and fun. Friday, we went mini golfing, which was a blast and easy to figure out, hung out by the lake in the evening, and walked the grounds to check the place out. We also found the arcade with the two kids (8 years old) and it was reasonably priced and fun! At night it was nice and quiet too. Saturday, we checked out the pool, and the kids were able to play while the adults also checked out the adults only pool. There is a swim up bar which was very convenient. Afterwards, we decided to order some pizza from their store which they delivered to us and I'm not kidding, it was DELICIOUS! My son even said, "this is my favorite pizza ever". We then packed everyone up to head to the lake where we spent hours there. As a mom, I always worry about the kids in the water, but this set up was incredible. It's shallow and my 8-year-old could walk all the way to the blow-up obstacle course without going under. The lake was their favorite part of the whole weekend as well. That night they were having their "Holiday do over weekend". So, there was a band, countdown to the new year, and Mardi gras theme, decorations, etc. The music was amazing and the kids LOVED it! We finished the night off with a bonfire and could not have asked for a better weekend. My family will remember this weekend forever and we cannot WAIT to return!!!

Being an earshot away of any conversation your neighbors might have. I like my privacy. The cabins have all the luxurious of home minis running water. There is an AC unit, small fridge and even a microwave. A perfect way to throw some clothes and a some pillows into the car and go. This campground like many is geared toward families. There is a nice pool, games and climby things for all the littles. I was disappointed to learn that they planned to have a movie night. Isn't that the point to camp? To get these kids away from screens? I was sad that I had to listen to the booming speakers going through the camp for 2 hours so these kids could watch this movie. It was a complete distraction to the peace and quiet I was looking for. The prices of the cabins are kind of a lot at over $100 per night but they have 1 queen bed and a set of bunks. I would return but would prefer to come during the non peak time.

Some other spots were nowhere near as spacious, so it depends on what you are looking for and what type of camping equipment you are bringing (rv or tent). The clubhouse was very nice and clean, with great shower and bathroom facilities. The electric at our spots were 20 amp, so it caused us a bit of an issue running A/C, fridge and an electric griddle. It is my understanding that some of the sites have 30 amp service, but not ours. Prices were very reasonable.

Well... Ever since R journey bought this campground a few…read moreyears back they have tried to make it more than it really is. This campground ground was once owned by the same family for 50+ years until they moved in. The campground is 85% permanent sites with only 15% overnight sites that have NO sewer other than a dump station located in the back of the campground. There is absolutely nothing to do during the week other than to swim in there man made pond that is green most of the time. There is no one at the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so it is closed. When they are open they have a manager that drives around on a golf cart enforcing her rules. On weekends the office is open and they have a bar and food which is great and live music once in a while. There a alot of pine trees there so you will have sap on your vehicles. All the roads are black top which is nice. They allow drinking so there are alot of people that can be loud. I grew up in the area and come back with my motorhome for a couple of weeks in July every year. Until now... Not family owned anymore and now has the corporate vibe going on that makes it not as friendly as the past owners were.
