They are the very definition of unprofessional and unresponsive. Maintenance requests? Good luck. It takes weeks--if ever--to get a reply, and when they finally do send someone out, it's a half-baked job that usually needs to be redone. We lived with broken appliances, leaking pipes, and mold issues that they blatantly ignored. Communication? Nonexistent. Emails go unanswered, voicemails are never returned, and the rare times you do get someone on the phone, you're met with attitude, excuses, or flat-out lies. They treat tenants like we're a nuisance instead of paying customers. And let's not forget how they nickel-and-dime you for everything. Ridiculous fees, surprise charges, and no accountability. Move-out was another disaster--they tried to charge us for damages that were clearly documented when we moved in. Thank God for photos and receipts. Avoid this company at all costs. They do not care about their tenants, they don't maintain their properties, and they make your life ten times harder than it needs to be. You've been warned.

As I said, he ignored my and their requests, and often only reached out to/communicated with our male roommates. When he did speak to me, he called me a "tattle-tale" and "immature" when I shared with him how roommates were not complying with/finding unethical routes to break contract rules. When I shared with him that my sister has cancer (in a conversation about housing), he was completely unsympathetic and rude. I have never worked with someone so callous. She let us know about getting everything in on time for any deadlines to get approval for our apartment. She was easy to contact, easy to talk to, and overall she is just a very pleasant person. We are currently living in an apartment from Spectrum and haven't had any issues minus getting the pipes snaked right as we got there. however they sent a person within less than a day of asking and took care of it all. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone looking for a place, and for Spectrum to once again let Lynn know how great a person she is.

Sola Street was one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had (May 2022-May 2026). At the time I applied for this rental, I was moving from out of state and had a local friend attend the open house on my behalf. According to my friend, Clare Lombardi was rude from the beginning and appeared to give more attention to couples (and an attorney willing to pay cash) attending the showing. Despite what felt like preconceived notions during the application process--I was single and not able to pay cash up front--Clare made it known that I was third in line and likely would not get the home. Nevertheless, I was approved for the lease. In May 2022, when I arrived at the home for the first time, I was greeted within five minutes by the backyard tenant, K***y, whose presence, role, and relationship to the property were very different from how the arrangement had been presented during the open house. My friend had been led to believe that the backyard tenant simply occupied a separate studio apartment, minded her own business, and had a separate entrance onto the property. The problems began immediately. K***y asked whether she could continue parking in my driveway because the previous tenant had allowed her to do so for the past four years. During that same conversation, she told me she had lived on the property for 13 years and owned a business with the landlord. She then told me, "Don't worry, I won't be spying on you." When I asked Clare Lombardi about this situation--specifically, the backyard tenant being best friends and business partners with the landlord--Clare told me she knew nothing about it and assured me she would act as the middle person between me, the landlord, and the backyard tenant. Time told a very different story. The reality of living at this property was very different from what had been represented during the leasing process. Throughout my tenancy, there were ongoing issues involving privacy, driveway use, shared spaces, mailbox access, and the relationship between the landlord and the backyard tenant. One of the most frustrating aspects of living at this property was the lack of privacy and respect for tenant boundaries. Throughout the four years I lived at 424 E. Sola Street, the landlord repeatedly came onto the property without providing 24-hour notice. These visits were routinely explained to "simply visit her friend, or to care for her cat while she was out of town, or to "look at the landscaping" for maintenance. This was not an isolated event. The mother of the landlord (who also owns the property) would visit without notice. It was a recurring issue throughout my four-year tenancy. My $5,000 rent did not secure privacy. Period. The ongoing privacy concerns ultimately escalated to the point that law enforcement was called to the property and a report was filed. In addition to the privacy concerns, Clare failed to effectively manage the property. She fell behind on maintenance requests, experienced staff turnover, and had repeated management shortfalls. Maintenance requests were not handled in a timely manner, maintenance personnel were sometimes sent to the wrong address, and communication was often unprofessional. I once had a young man show up with a rubber mallet to replace water filters in a reverse-osmosis unit because Clare gave him the wrong address. He was apparently supposed to assist with a different repair at another property & had just gotten out of high school for the day. He admitted that he had no idea how to replace the water filters and was not entirely sure why he had been sent to my property. At one point, I contacted Clare regarding property-related concerns, she answered with profanity because she was dealing with a family matter and told me that she did not have time for me. After the outburst, she then asked whether I was calling about a property emergency and later apologized. As a tenant paying approximately $5,000 per month, I found that behavior completely unacceptable & unprofessional, particularly because she had previously provided her contact information & instructed me to reach out regarding property-related concerns. I consistently experienced repeated delays, communication issues, maintenance problems, & management shortfalls that left me feeling as though there was no reliable backup when problems arose. Clare always put the blame on the landlord & budget issues. Example- the electric gate NEVER GOT FIXED AND I COULD NOT LET MY DOG OUT IN THE BACK YARD, yet I was always charged full use of the property- even had the rent increased. I cannot believe I managed to live at the property for four years! The tentant prior to me, lived there for four years too & also moved out under hostile circumstances. Just ask the neighbors and USPS. BEWARE! ps- they are NOT open 24/7 despite what they advertise on Yelp.
