And the power of yelp is that we speak the truth about the places we go, taking away the power from the businesses that choose to mistreat customers or rob them under the reasoning of it's the only choice of businesss in that industry in that area so they take advantage and hike prices as some of the larger companies have down in the last year and a half here. I also hate to hear when people are stuck, hiring, uninsured, untrained people or for lack of their being other safe, trained, and available technicians that are not charging too much for the average retiree)., I can tell you that Austin, (the Technician and possible owner of this company?)is polite, friendly, funny, fast, it his whole back into the work , you could hear, and comes off non- threatening and knew exactly what he needed to do, went straight to it after talking to me about itand didn't ask or bother for a thing. I feel good about telling you quality experience I got from this company MGP Mechanical because I believe if there is no room for growth in this town, economy enough for a compliment or two to be circulating for even your competition,, we have real problems . Also, I believe it helps our economy when we support up-and-coming businesses of hard-working people such as Austin's business, ours business, and all other hard-working people putting the effort in to do the jobs that a large percentage of this town can't do any more for themselves due to physical restraints. Austin is obviously very nice looking young man, with actual manners, sweet to animals , kind hearted ( somehow I can tell you that due to our conversation on doggy's, reveals a lot about someone, efficient and polite. And I'm pretty sure if you are one of those elderly that have a low amount you're able to budget every month to for fixes in your house, it's gonna be a company like MGP Mechanical or ours that's gonna be the one to help you because we will help you in spite of your financial issues and work out contracted payment plans to make sure our neighbors basic needs are met. It's not always easy to see when someone has moral integrity worth getting to know them , and Austin was one of those gentleman making the service call workers around here look good. I believe with this gentlemen, you'll only see him continue to succeed and grow with this new company of his. As long as the community is connected enough to all have a little bit of Internet access and can continue to spread good news about the good workers, people like Austin will benefit this town, just as Austin will benefit from it. Work that was done: We received what they referred to as a "changeover "from him as he was who my rental property owner hired. Although he is our competition, I would recommend him in a heartbeat as he did the service as well and my husband used to do the exact process for work and got to witness. He said he did it well too. He confirmed our appointment and showed up ready to do a full check up and maintenance. We also asked for a video of the plumbing -which had repairs done last year by an outfit I will not name. Brian did the tune up/clean up. The furnace checked out fine, thank goodness. The video did reveal a significant vertical breach in a major pipe that had been steadily leaking under a bathroom. Brian referred "My PLumber" for the pipe replacement. Dodged a looming disaster! Great job all around. So nice to work with good, honest service professionals.

It was 42 degree at night and even my dogs who rarely complained kept shaking to keep themselves warm and we all cozied up with huge blankets in the bed..because the temperature dropped so low. In a meantime, I reached out to BakerHouse Service late Friday night letting them know about the issue that my minisplits had. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to get anything fixed by Monday since it was already weekends...but I was really surprised that the following Saturday morning Danial did reach out to me and let me know he could actually stop by on Saturday! I was very grateful that Danial and team was able to diagnose the issues with my minisplits quick! Not only that, they were able to remedy the issue on the spot within that visit,..so I was really thankful the heat was back in the house in no time! BakerHouse Service Co…read more We contacted Daniel at BakerHouse Service Co for A/C servicing Jan 21, and Daniel scheduled us for next day, Feb 22. We have been here 6 years and the house is 18 years. We've never had our A/C, furnaces, and fireplaces checked so we were doing preventative maintenance and ensuring our systems are not producing carbon monoxide. Daniel got on our roof and checked both A/C units. We had a broken switch, broken contact, and 3 capacitors that were below spec. Replaced with new parts and both units working properly. We also requested to check both of our furnaces. No carbon monoxide and again capacitors below spec, replaced and both units working properly. Daniel checked both gas fireplaces, no carbon monoxide and he showed us on how to turn them both on. Lastly Daniel drained our water heater. We are very pleased with Daniel's work. We are greatly relieved that our major HVAC systems, fireplaces, and water heater are all working great and we are grateful we now have an honest and very capable HVAC systems contractor we can rely on. I used Ricks Service for the seasonal service of my Mastercool AC on my rental home. Being out of…read morestate, I relied on the professionals to service and maintain the unit as agreed upon. This was not done. It appears the water was simply turned off and on, but no cleaning or maintenance was completed. Some problems were actually created by the service. Here are the issues I found after having a "professional" examine the unit. Here is a list of the issues I have with the service work that was done very poorly, and even damaging. 1. As the tenants were moving out, I went by and saw the ac was leaking water bad. They were told the pan was rusted so that's just how it was. In looking at it, the pads were clogged and never cleaned nor changed or suggested to be done. I had asked specifically for this to be checked and changed if needed. A rusted out pan was not the problem nor was a solution provided. This situation resulted in a large amount of water and leaking water daily. 2. The overflow hose was directed to spray directly into the fan, which makes no sense and can create so many issues, including rot and rusting of the AC unit, ducting, and surrounding structures. 3. Almost 2 inches of dirt and silt was in the bottom of the tray. There is no way the accumulation occurred within 3 months time. This shows it was not cleaned out, and I wonder if it ever was for any of the previous service calls. All of this resulted is very low airflow, water wasted and potential damage to many aspects of the home. I do not see any way these are remotely acceptable, and they are actually negligent. I feel these are very strong reasons to leave an appropriate review, especially as I was never contacted back for an explanation or attempt to rectify

We needed to upgrade our entire HVAC system due to rising energy costs. We had a furnace on propane…read moreand the cost to use it is almost prohibitive.The hubby is a professional commercial HVAC control's technician and did a lot of research and contacted Harter Electric. They came out for for a quote and check what we needed. When the consult and quote was done, within 2 days we were scheduled and installation began. The crew was professional and quick with the work. Now, we have a system that is so much more comfortable and keeps all rooms at a constant temperature. Five rooms, 5 room systems and 2 outside units with all electrical and ductwork was done in 1 1/2 days. The cool part of the system is it's controlled by remote, and there's one in each room, but if one is lost, they work on the rest, Awesome thing about this system, each room can be set to heat, cool and automatic control. You set the temp you want (all function controlled by remote control) and how powerful you want the fan, you can set it to sweep back and forth etc... One thing I do want to say that I was able to dictate the placement of the unit in our bedroom. Although it may have been easier for the crew to place the unit a wall closer to the outside unit, I requested another wall so I did not have to move family pictures and special things. The owner told me, that I had to live with it, so they would do what I wanted. I'm disabled and having thing's comfortable isn't always easy. The cost of this system is worth every penny. The speed of process from time of initial contact to completion was about a week. Thanks to the crew who came out and made our home more comfortable. We got it just in time for a really cold, snowy and windy storm and all the rooms were so comfy. They are a professional, knowledgeable, and polite crew.

The pads they offered cost $80 in addition to the $140, whereas we purchased all pads for less than $30. The tech stated the hose connecting the water source to the unit was "good", only to find out there was a hole in it when we fixed the hose bib and connected it less than 2 weeks later. There was no excuse for that, as we had extra hosing and advised them we had it. When I had originally called, I specifically asked if they would be able to replace the pipe that connects to the hose and based on that conversation, it was my understanding that they could, only for the tech come out and refer me to a plumber. My original post mentioned that I felt scammed. I still feel that the company needs to communicate better as I was left misunderstanding what they're capabilities were. Additionally, they took photos of work that was done, but never sent them until I requested then after posting my original review. Proactively sending these would have been a great way to support their work and make the customer feel confident in the work. Through the photos, it was revealed that they cleaned out my unit, but it had gotten filthy between the date of service and when I completed the set up. The owner has been very responsive to my complaints, courteous, and his drive to succeed is a credit to the company. I do recommend to make sure they do check every component and that you ask for a very clear estimate before they begin any work. $140 flet like a steep price for the work that was ultimately done. TLDR: Make sure you clearly understand what their charges will be and what it entails. Also, try to connect with the owner for any questions or concerns, he is very responsive and will try to make it right.
