We love the person feel you get while there, you just do not feel like guest #1243 passing by the front desk. They offer cold drinks on the honor system and ice. There is so much to do and it's exactly as advertised if not better. The one thing I would enjoy is a list of suggestions for food/dining in a 30 Min. radius for those who do not know the area well during the times meals are not available. And Chris in the kitchen is something else, hands down one of the best chefs I have had the pleasure of chatting with, and if he offered, I'd be at his table every night for dinner. Another saving grace is that the venue itself doubles as an airbnb for you and your loved ones. You rent the house for the weekend, and it has 8 bedrooms to divide amongst your bridal party. It really helped me to let loose on my day knowing that my bed was right upstairs and that the Spillian staff would handle the cleanup. They also hosted our rehearsal dinner and morning after brunch, and it lessened the load to not have to plan two separate events with different vendors. Now let's talk about the day itself! I didn't have to lift a finger. My husband and I brought along decorations and signage, and expected to have to do some organizing ourselves. But the Spillian staff were there Friday night when we were unpacking asking what everything was and where we wanted it, and it was packed back up for us by Sunday morning. On Saturday, they went to work putting everything together for us. It was beautifully orchestrated by Spillian's coordinator, Sam. We can't thank her enough for making sure that our rainy day wedding went so smoothly, we barely even noticed that we had to shift our plans within 30 minutes! Originally, the whole affair was meant to be hosted outside, but persistent rain (it is the Catskills after all) had us moving the reception indoors. They had the whole event setup outside and moved it all inside in record time. By the time photos were done everything was set for dinner. The sauna entrance is an antique- just lovely. One can make a cup of tea/coffee in the lobby there. Our suite had complimentary slippers, which I wore the whole time I was there, three TVs, which we didn't use, a fridge as well as a little coffee station. The spa had lockers and long bathrobes available. We walked outside quite aways to get to the spa from our suite. But I have a feeling if we'd been unable or asked ahead they would have picked us up with a golf cart. As it is, we rode the loaner bikes they had outside of the lobby on our way back. Note adjust the seat to be higher or lower- it's easy. Our suite was very spacious and part of the Old Lodge. There's a nice creek flowing out back and we sat on our little balcony while we had coffee. We liked the relaxed atmosphere and the relative privacy. Yes the rugs and the countertops/shower/tubs should be upgraded. (I think there's a newer section of the Emerson so ask). As it stands we were pretty happy with our stay. We had family in other rooms and paid about $500/night for ours.

She made some key adjustments that really aligned with my needs and also took time to explain some of the concerns I had. I would absolutely give her a full 5-star rating- way to go, Kelty! Additionally, I had a conversation with Tim couple days ago who was my reservation agent. Tim went above an beyond-he helped me arrange payment for my package, showed a lot of care, and even spoke with his supervisor to ensure my concerns were met. I called the front desk today and I got lip service from the guy working at the front desk no help he's telling me he's helping me but he's telling me to take time out of my day cause I'm going into the pool again to try to work out my Backand he said that I would have to speak to the manager in person he couldn't put me through. I said where is the manager well, she's not here. I said oh but she's going to appear when I come there.
