I went here to get my nose pierced and everything was fine; however, after about a week, I noticed there was not enough room for swelling with the small stud that was put it (the ball of the stud was indented in my skin). I called the shop and spoke to Julia and she insisted that I wait until Wednesday before I came in for her to put in a longer stud. So, I opted to go to another tattoo shop and was informed she used a labret stud instead of a nose ring, now I have a huge hole in my nose and have to wait for it to close before I can have it pierced again, correctly. I went in to get my 7 year olds ear pierced because I know not to take her to Claire's. Due to insurance reasons, they cannot pierce anyone's ears under 14 even if the parents are there! My daughter and I left and she was extremely sad. I guess will take the chance of getting her ears pierced at Claire's. As to the owner's comment... I have family in law in Illinois. It is by choice of the tattoo place not by Illinois law. The law states that a legal guardian must be present. If it was by law, Claire's would not be allowed. Negative review goes towards lack of knowledge from the owner about the laws in Illinois. Negative review goes towards not allowing parents to get their child's ears pierced the "safer way". I explained my fears and my tattoo artist completely understood me and talked to me throughout the whole procedure so I would be comfortable. We even had a barrier put up for me so no one could see me while I got tatted, which I really appreciated as a lady. I wouldn't recommend this place to get piercings , you'll literally get what you paid for, they don't bother to double check if the piercings will Aline, they freestyle it which is a terrible idea to do if you're trying to have symmetrical piercings. (Btw the piercer joked about having a different client with the same issue of not being even) They use a 16g needle to do nose piercings, which is way to thick for a nose ring( most places use 18g). I went to go get my piercing changed out. First of all, I walked in and couldn't find the customer service desk. Then when the lady told me to follow her to the "piercing room" I was so shocked. Places typically have closed off, private rooms where only one person can get pierced at a time. But this place had an OPEN ROOM in the FRONT of the shop where TWO OTHER PEOPLE were getting pierced while I got my jewelry changed out. It took about 20 minutes for her to get the jewelry in, and I was BLEEDING. I had heard bad things about Wolfs before but I thought "how bad could it be just to get my piercing changed?" Simple. Don't come here for piercings. They don't warn you when they are doing the piercing. Didn't bother to double check if the placement of the piercing was okay until AFTER piercing. Turns out they placed it horribly which led to the industrial digging into the scapha of my ear and denting it. I had to take it out before I had further damage to my ear. I would never get a tattoo from this place! Wolf did a cover up tattoo on my ankle and the tattoo looks terrible. Everyone i show says oh my god how awful! My leg is killing me...I am now at the er for an infected leg....getting an iv antibiotic and ultrasound for possible blood clot. When i went in the shop to have him look at the tattoo, he literally cussed and yelled at me saying it was my fault that it got infected, not his. He refuses to fix it or give my money back, and just told me to put neosporin on it. He accused me of giving him a hard time from the moment i sat in the chair. wolfs is not clean nor is it professional. a friend of mine went to get a tattoo on the anniversary of her husband's death, and asked me to come to document her tattoo. I am a professional photographer and also have tattoos and understand you can't use flash or being rowdy while someone is getting tattooed. I have shot multiple times in multiple upscale and high end tattoo shops and was never hassled as much as I was when I was at wolf. Not only was my experience bad but the friend who was getting the tattoo had scheduled an appointment and had to wait over two hours to get started. And not because he was tattooing someone else. God only knows why it took so long to get started when we were the only people in the shop. every other shop I have been too when you have an appoint scheduled they have their equipment ready and waiting to go. The equipment did not seem like they had disposable anything except maybe the needles. and not to mention the fact that the artist continually joked about her taking her shirt off for the tattoo which was not only creepy but completely unnecessary and unprofessional but in poor taste considering she was there to get a tattoo to mourn the loss of her husband. and aside from how rude the artist was and overpriced his work was for such low quality work, I wouldn't get tattooed here, because I would be afraid of what sort of blood born pathogen I would come home with. also from asking around afterwards two of my friends told me: I was going to go to them for my first tattoo ever and I was trying to get some advice from one of the artists and his response was "look, I don't care where you want to get it done, it's just money in my pocket either way." Needless to say, I didn't get anything done and I never went back. That place is so gross. I went there a few years ago to watch my friend get a tattoo and one of the guys working there offered to pierce my nipples for free.
