We call Florida Blue Cross which had given the authorization days earlier. Call LR back and are told that it does not cover the therapy even though it is listed on the referral; OK, so how long does it take to get approvals -- "immediately" is the answer. OK, so why not make the request this morning and have it done? No answer to that one, they just did not do it and cancelled the appointment instead. Rather incompetent. The silo operation where areas are walled off there makes internal communication clearly inefficient and sometimes spills over to patient inconvenience. I am sure the professional staff does not like it either but they cannot complain. Sloppy. *** LR just called and said we can come it today! We offered earlier to come in given the 'immediate' insurance approvals but they originally declined this. Now, it's OK for them and too late for us to make the original appointment given our distance away. But we could have made it there when we originally called but they declined given the lack of insurance approval that is supposed to be granted 'immediately'. Weird. Clearly they cancel appointments THEN seek the approvals when that can be easily reversed. There is some internal miscommunication at LR resulting in massive inefficiency.

The office was a little hard to find even with GPS as located in small office complex with multiple other businesses. I drove up and down several small driveways before I found it but very large signage on office when I got in the right parking lot .Very pleasant waiting area with beautiful decor, nice easy listening music and aroma therapy. Waiting room a little cold and staff even wearing sweaters. I was taken in to exam room right on time and seen by a student nurse practitioner. History taking was very efficient. MD was prompt and everyone explained items very well. Scheduling tests was a breeze as the person at the desk had already checked my insurance and knew if a pre-authorization was required or not. The procedure can be done at one of 3 sites so they worked again with my schedule to find the most accommodating date and location. Just my first encounter but so far pretty impressed.

I have never felt uncomfortable with them, Of course if you have to see a Dr. like this, the last thing you need is more stress. Dr. Bridge is wonderful. She sits and takes her time to explain things to you. I did not feel rushed at all with her. She is gentle with her exams and does not make you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable at all. She understood my concerns for what I have been going through for the past year and her solution was the same as I was thinking I wanted. Yeah !! My only downside is that I have had an issue for a year, Radiology would send results to the Dr. and a staff member would call me and say "You need to do this". I did not speak to the Dr. for a year, nor was I asked to come in to see her. When they called this time, I insisted on seeing the Dr. so we could talk. I wish they had taken that initiative on their own without my asking. Would I recommend her, absolutely!
