I could not recommend this practice less. I found this office after relocating to Tampa. On two occasions I went in to the office for an ultrasound and then, because the doctor was not in, had an online/zoom virtual visit that same day hours later to discuss the results. I was told in both occasions I'd be charged only one copay- which I paid in office both times. To my surprise I was billed two copays and received online notifications and bills in the mail. I called billing and explained I paid the copay for each visit and both times was told by the office I only had to pay one copay but was billed for two. They told me they marked the account resolved and I didn't owe anything. Every few weeks I'd get a bill in the mail and I ignored it (they told me to ignore it too until account caught up with the note) because I had confirmed with the office I didn't owe them money and it was settled (several times!). I got a call and text from a debt collector coming after me for a $30 copay from a visit 8 months ago- which was supposed to be resolved and noted on my account because *I already paid it.* I called the billing office to ask why they sent it to collections. They told me to call the Womens Care Central Business office because they had noted my account but for some reason it was sent to collections anyways. I called the business office and spoke to Carol H who told me that no one noted my account and it was sent to collections automatically because of how long it was past due. She said that no one from billing ever noted the account and when I explained that they told me they did she said they lied. I explained the situation for the zillionth time - that I didn't owe any money and had paid my co pay for each visit already!- and she told me she would *ASK* her supervisor to pull it back from collections but there was no guarantee she would. She called me a day later and said they would pull it back from collections but I needed to pay the balance. I ended up calling billing and just paying the ADDITIONAL company's for both visits ($60) so that I could just never hear from these people again. I am beyond frustrated. A miscommunication on their end within their office and my doctors office resulted in my bill going to collections. When I called to get it resolved they basically said no guarantee they can fix it and someone owes $30. I explained no one owes $30 and my doctors office confirmed that with me several times but Carol continued to cop an attitude and basically blame me / my insurance for her offices mishaps. I will not be going back here- it simply isn't worth it! The level of care is not worth the aggravation the incompetency of this billing offices creates. Not to mention- i notified my doctor that I had cycle changes- my cycle coming ever 21 days and bleeding heavier than ever in my life (genuinely impeding my social life for the first time in my life- bleeding through everything in 2 hours or less). She told me "this is being a woman" and to get on birth control, multiple times, when I had expressed to her since I started seeing her I don't want to be on birth control. I asked for other options, suggested maybe exploring ablation, and was told I'm not a candidate for ablation because I'm too young (but I know people younger than me who have had it - and I do not want children). It wasn't even a conversation, she just kept pushing birth control. I told my gen practitioner and she said I should get a second opinion/new gyno. Between billing nightmares with this office and not feeling heard by this doctor I'm glad I'm finding a new practice. read more

My primary doctor suggested that I go to this practice and I am glad I did. Right now with everything going on, getting in as a new patient takes forever but I was able to get in within 2 weeks. My doctor was very knowledgeable about my visit and made me feel at ease with a few options for me to think about and review. I was very impressed that during our conversation my doctor mentioned some paperwork she would have the front desk give me and when they didn't, she personally called me to remind me about it and say if I was still there she had it waiting for me. That is normally something done by a nurse or the front desk themselves. read more

Anjana Patel had the absolute worst bedside manner. Clearly didn't read the chart and only cared about making a buck. My wife and I had a child born healthy. No issues with this birth but relevant later. And it was with this practice. Regardless. Next time around my wife has a miscarriage and goes to the office with unusual bleeding. To the point she was soaking many pads in hours. Dr. Patel doesn't care - sends her home - and just dismisses her complaints and unusually excessive blood loss calling it normal miscarriage blood loss. Notwithstanding my wife had been through several before. Again "she's the doctor" and completely dismissed my wife and her experiences. Bedside manner error number 1. Later on, while at home with our 2 year old due to the excessive blood loss my wife literally passes out on the toilet and chipped her tooth falling into the wall and floor. 911 called and - shocker - it's not "normal" blood loss. I mean - WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN! In the ER now. Attending gives orders for higher pain meds. Lo and behold - Dr. not give a shit arrived and overrules attending and prescribed 800 mg ibuprofen for it. Literally no care for my wife (she hadn't even examined her at this point). As we go through it - Mease was awesome - god bless those doctors and nurses - when it comes time for a the DnC- (I apologize but it's rough) this wannabe doctor not only cut my wife's pain meds but had the audacity to rip out part of my unborn child and jiggle it in front of us like a science project to the absolute horror of me and my wife - EVEN THE ER NURSES WERE APPALLED! We were in shock, my wife for many reasons. Bedside manner error 2. Then this alleged doctor decided to attempt to "counsel" me and my wife about how sometimes people are genetically incompatible (this is where reading the chart comes into play and where we had a 2 year old son that was delivered by this office). She cared about earning a buck and the science of it. It's absolutely disgusting what she did. And they are still trying to bill us for that "genetic counseling" and her lack of bedside manner and incompetence that led to her passing out in the first place. I'm not saying all of women's care is awful. But Dr. Patel is without question the absolute worst of a doctor that no one should trust to put a bandaid on let alone deliver a child. I have been going there for years and have never had any issues. This was my yearly exam covered 100%! I also was charged an office visit! Why you ask....because I discussed something with them that they felt had nothing to do with the yearly exam! Really? Since when does this get categorized on a yearly exam? Isn't that what doctors are for? It doesn't seem like it to me these days! It seems like they're out to make extra money! When Lauren was there, I had zero issues discussing anything else with her and I was never charged. I will not be going back because obviously I expect a doctor to provide services once a year and my insurance covers that. It's really a shame doctors offices do that. read more

They sent me the paperwork to fill out at home before I went in. It had to be at least 20 pages. Thank god I did because it would have taken me The staff and the doctor was very nice. However, when I made the appointment they did not advise me that the doctors don't take Medicare. She took copies of my Medicare and gap coverage from United Healthcare and said maybe it'll get picked up by the United Healthcare. This has never happened to me. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I am recently widowed and living on a fixed income. This is an unfair practice. read more

To the point where three times my pregnant fiancé has been in tears in the parking lot because the people in the office can't keep track of what we have paid and what we owe, come up with a different number every time. I have great insurance and they decided prior to my appointment which was two days later they wouldn't see me or take me unless I paid them what they thought my insurance would cover up front for my birth which wasn't for another 6 months. The lady whom I talked to was completely rude and inappropriate. I have never ever had this happened and even when I called my insurance they were totally confused and even said this wasn't right. Now I'm forced to find somewhere else to go at 19 weeks pregnant. Complete trash read more

Dr Moorhead misdiagnosed a cyst that was actually a bladder. Unnecessary surgery during a pregnancy. No cyst existed at all nevermind one supposedly the size of a football. read more

The four female doctors at this specific location are all absolutely amazing, as are the current midwives. They treat you on a very individualized basis, with the upmost respect. Also I enjoy the nursing and office staff here (and at the Trinity location). I live much closer to a different Women's Care l, but I drive to Safety Harbor for outstanding care with Dr. Watson, Sheldon, Fuhrig, and Nolan. I had my second daughter under their care, plus multiple other issues, and couldn't be more trusting with any of the doctors or midwives that will be on call for my delivery. I have referred many friends to this office for OB care too and they have been as satisfied with their care as I have read more

I want to start by saying I love all other locations that Women's Care has, including Westchase and Trinity-they are by far the best! They were the locations we went to for my first child that was born. For the safety Harbor location at Mease hospital, zero stars would be appropriate here- we came to this one for our 2nd child who is due soon. The sonogram tech was bar by the rudest person I've met at any location. The technician started our appointment by saying please let me concentrate on my job as soon as we walked in the door. She went on to say that she was having trouble getting a great picture because they have really outdated equipment and that our baby was not being cooperative. When she printed out the pictures, I had my hand stretched out to take them from her she went around me and set them on the counter and walked away. If I wasn't there with my pregnant wife who was already upset I would've lost it. She had no bedside manner and treated us like we were annoying her by being there. She went on to say she can't get a good picture, so would be referring us to a specialist. The specialist would've cost us $900, so we went to the Trinity location and they did it for no where near price and had no issues, The technician in Trinity was very bubbly and very nice to us. This is supposed to be a time of joy but it was a nightmare at the safety Harbor location- if you can make your appointment anywhere else besides here I highly recommend it even if you have to drive out of your way. Will never be back will never recommend to anyone for safety Harbor. read more

Sadly this place has become nothing but headaches. I went here for the first time about two years ago, and had an implant on implanted in my arm. Needless to say I had a year of pure hell. I called after three months, after six months, and after nine months each time I was asked to wait another three months before truly having it removed. I had it in my arm for a total of year. I had it removed, and they said that it would be an easy procedure. It's took about a half hour of twisting and turning the implant, and extending the incision until they can get it out. After several stitches, I realize that this definitely is going to leave a mark. Not only did it leave a physical Mark, I went through a year of trying to balance my levels back out naturally. Needless to say after now two years, and rounds of bloodwork nothing has balance out. I preferred going through my primary care to try to see if we can figure out what was going on, after the blood work came back they told me I'd have to follow up with the doctor gave me that implant. When I try to set an appointment I had to wait two weeks. Two days before my appointment, and I get a call that this offer is no longer is under contract with my health insurance. When I ask who could be referred me to, they told me nobody in Florida as an OB/GYN is taking my health insurance. I quickly called my Health insurance, and was told that they still were in network. I called back to this office ask you speak with the office manager, and I was told that I have to have the voicemail. Sadly after waiting this long to have a two day notice if they don't take my insurance I'm not waiting anymore longer. I spoke with someone, and she told me that she would get me to billing. So she could put the blame on billing was pretty much why. Billing then tells me that I had a credit that they had to send me, I'm so glad I called otherwise I would've never gotten back my near $50. Not only is it deceiving on all of these bits, but then when I said I'm going to need a copy of my recordsI was told I can pay them a dollar a page. A little ridiculous that they cannot send them electronically. But I do have a credit, so go ahead and put that towards it. Overall, this office has been deceiving on several things. Miss advertising the implant, saying that it was an easy procedure when it was a half hour of torture (my arm was black and blue for over a week as if someone beat me), saying they sent me a notice that I my insurance may not renew, making the appointment and then wasting two weeks of my life with a days notice that I don't have an appointment, hiding that they overcharge me almost $50, need I say anymore? It's a shame cause the doctor was good, the rest of this operation sucks. Save yourself the time and aggravation, stay away. read more

I have been so disappointed with this practice. When I was pregnant with my first baby, I wanted to have an early ultrasound to find out the gender and surprise my husband for Christmas. I paid $150 for this ultrasound and it was at the Trinity location which I had never been to so I made sure to leave early to get their in time. My mom was excited to drive up from Tampa, in the middle of her work day to be with me to find out the gender. I arrived 20 minutes early and they called me back as soon as I got there. I explained to the ultrasound tech that I was waiting for my mom and she said, this is a doctors office and we need to see our patients as we have the time, we cant wait for your mom. Then I walked in and asked if I could at least call her to tell her turn around and don't bother, she told me I couldn't use my phone in the ultrasound room. Then shes doing the ultrasound and I am quietly crying, she asks if I'm ok, I say no I'm not ok, this is my first baby and if my husband cant be with me I would like my mom to be here, and she just said, maybe next time you should drive together so this doesn't happen.... I paid $150 out of pocket for this experience mind you. Now I am pregnant with my second baby which it took me 2 years to get pregnant with this one, 2 round of IVF, and a miscarriage 6 months ago. I was about to have my 16 week appointment and called to ask if I could add an ultrasound to my appointment so I can make sure the baby is developing and growing as it should. First they told me no. I called back, left a message with someone else, who asked my doctor and then called back to tell me they would give me one if they could squeeze me in the day of. That they wouldn't make an appointment for it and it would an unofficial ultrasound just to check real quick but also no guarantee that I would even get one. I even offered to pay for it myself and they still wouldn't schedule if for me. So overall, bad experiences. The only good thing about this practice is Dr. Watson. She's great, but all of the staff and nurses are awful. read more

I first went here for my first child and have to say that Mease Countryside Hospital And Dr. Watson are absolutely amazing. But the staff in this office are completely hard to work with. I made an appointment for my second pregnancy and had it for nearly a month, only to be informed TWO DAYS before my appointment that they don't accept my insurance even though I asked them before making my appointment to be sure. When I learned of this information, I told the person on the phone that I'd have to switch my insurance. I ended up spending more time calling my insurance to switch plans. When I called the office back, I was told that I couldn't make an appointment because I'd be too far along and too high risk. I asked the lady what exactly was I supposed to do, seeing as my insurance would only be available at the beginning of the month and the date she suggested was only a few days before the appointment I could attend. The lady didn't care. I found myself at a lose and was getting very stressed out and crying. She transferred me to a voicemail and I left a message, only to never be called back. I figure whatever, this place isn't worth the trouble. A few weeks later, I get a voicemail reminder for an appointment I never made. So I have to call back and cancel. The lady I spoke to this time seemed just as confused as I was. Despite the unprofessional and unpleasant staff experience, my birthing experience and interaction with the doctors there was absolutely amazing. The nursing professionals are wonderful, they obviously love their job. But there are some sour eggs at that office, so be forewarned and prepared to fight with them if you're unlucky enough to speak to one. read more
