I've been here twice this year and found the service and staff to be excellent. Tip # 1: Get there as close to the opening hour as possible, the wait time can build up quickly. Tip # 2: This facility does NOT have x-ray equipment. If you think you might need an x-ray, go to the facility on S. Belcher Rd. in Clearwater instead. They will send you there from Largo to get an x-ray anyway, so save a trip to a 2nd facility on the same day. read more

Today I was seen by Steven Yeager, ARNP, and I felt compelled to share my concerns regarding the interaction. I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and was not feeling well. I was advised by my OB/GYN to seek care at the ER or Urgent Care. During my visit, Dr. Yeager asked whether I was having a boy or a girl. I explained that I did not yet know and would be finding out this weekend. He then stated that with "all these moms taking medications," by the year 2035 all boys will be on the spectrum. I found this remark to be inappropriate, insensitive, and unprofessional. It was unrelated to my medical care and made me feel uncomfortable during an already vulnerable time. Additionally, the comment made me feel as though I was wrong for seeking care, despite following my OB/GYN's instructions to go to the ER or Urgent Care. No patient should feel judged for seeking medical attention when advised to do so. I also did not feel that my symptoms or concerns were taken seriously. Compassionate bedside manner and respectful communication are especially important during pregnancy, and I did not feel that standard was met during this visit. I have always trusted BayCare Health System for my healthcare needs and have consistently had positive experiences. Unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect the level of professionalism and patient-centered care I have come to expect. I went in with chest congestion. The doctor that was there was incredibly rude. Told me he didn't believe in antibiotics even when I told him. my symptoms that typically suggest infection. He wanted me to drive a half hour to another facility to get an x-ray because they don't have an x-ray machine there. He did absolutely nothing for me. Don't waste your time and go there. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. This place is horrible. It's been several years since I have been there and the last time it was a disaster. I had to go back the next day just for the dr to tell me that the dr from yesterday (same office) told me he prescribed me wrong medication. They wouldn't refund me my copay. Today they close at 8 but I got there at 7 and there was 1 person in the waiting room. Receptionist says that they had met their max for the evening and are not accepting patients now. It was 7pm!!! There are lazy and just don't want to care for people in need. Burned me twice. Will never go back to this dump. read more

Only 2 + hrs people were ahead of us, my wife had an appointment and still waited 2 hrs. I don't care if you are busy, I don't care if you don't have enough staff. I had been coughing with runny nose for 3 weeks and started feeling worse so I went to this Bay Care Urgent Care on Walsingham. Everyone, from the checkin to the intake tech to the doc to the xray tech was extremely professional and kind. Dr. Kaczinski saw me and I must say he was concerned and interested in getting me the help I needed. He went over the possibilities, got me a chest xray and a nebulizer treatment. He reviewed my medical history and we figured out which meds would best help my illness but not hurt my other issues. Kudos to him. The tech who did the xray and gave me the nebulizer treatment was friendly and professional. The young man at the reception desk made sure i was seen quickly and the tech who took my vitals and assessed my situation was good at his job. Thank you one and all. I feel so much better already. I came in on a Sunday afternoon with a wrist injury after a bike fall the evening before. I made an appointment, but even then the wait was long because they were down to one doctor, but I really liked him: Dr. Kaczynski was both warm and competent. This place left my aunt to die with heart failure, they diagnosed her problem as anxiety. She later died as a result of not being treated. They also left me untreated with SEVERE stomach pain. They said I had increased levels of eosinophils and should see an allergist. When i went to a real doctor they told me i had e coli and salmonella. I almost had to be hospitalized as a direct result of their malpractice. These people are criminals, do not go there as their negligence may kill you or a family member. read more

I just had my Department of Transportation physical at this location. Clean, comfortable waiting area and you can tell the staff are happy working there. My visit required a number of tests and a bit of time so I had a slight delay in my physical because you need to remember they are an URGENT CARE facility. If someone comes in the door with a major laceration, my physical is going to have to wait a few minutes understandably. I have no problems with the care or Doctors at this clinic. However, they billed my insurance incorrectly and when I called their office, I got a rude response every time. After 5 phone calls to their office, I finally got them to bill my insurance correctly, so I only owed a $35 co-pay, not the entire $500 bill. Three weeks later I get a call from someone who was rude to me on the phone AGAIN. She got very snappy with me and asked me why I called about lab work last month. I said to her that I had called about the billing to my insurance NOT about lab work and that I finally had gotten it settled with the business office. I came in due to the fact that I had a runny nose, terrible cough and raspiness in my chest and throat. This place is the pits. Rude, degrading and they have an attitude. The doctor came in to look at me, looked at papers he had in his hand (have no idea what was even on them) and said "I am sending you to the hospital." Never asked me any questions, never examined me, never listened to my chest or heart and said nothing to me. I asked him name and where he received his license and he did not answer except to say he would tell me later. This place should be shut down. I received no care whatsoever. I have been a nurse for most of my life and never seen anything like this. What a disgrace to the medical profession. I hope this information goes to corporate or I will contact corporate myself. Diagnosis: Cellulitis I am very happy with the care I received from Wau Bucprov, ARNP (Nurse Practitioner) at this facility. Rather than just giving me a prescription for an antibiotic, she faxed a Release to my PCP's office requesting results of the culture that was taken during my last visit. She then prescribed an antibiotic and an ointment and provided patient eduction for care. This is my first day, but I have confidence in this provider and believe it will work. I was feeling super awful and needed a negative covid test for work. When I was called back I explained to the, what I'm assuming was a nurse, my symptoms and that it felt more like a stomach flu but I needed the negative test. I asked her if it came back negative what she thought it would be. She didn't really give me an answer and did my swab. I waited in my car for my results and when I got them I went in and asked the front desk what I could have then because it was negative but I had symptoms of something viral. I was answered "not sure, there's a lot going around" and he turned away to work on something else. Didn't offer to ask a nurse or doctor while I was heavily sick in front of him. So I left and assumed I had norovirus, which, I'm assuming I did because I'm already getting better but some direction or certainty would be nice. I figured a doctor or nurse would care about someone's wellbeing. I've gone to a much better location on 66th that has gone beyond to care for me when I was sick with mono. I got tests and medicine and they tried everything to make sure I was okay and knew what I had. This place just doesn't care. A couple came in before me, clearly in pain, and they were older and the paperwork was hard for them but again, front desk didn't care. Never coming back, I'll make the drive to st. I stopped seeing my PCP not because urgent Care should replace a PCP but because this UC reminded me what a trip to the doctor should be. Someone looking you in the eye, listening, and knowing you're there for a reason instead of a PCP typing on a computer never looking up and seriously not listening. When I'm ill, I need to see someone. Didn't happen at my old PCP. Everytime my family or I have been here, yes, there can be a wait, hello?!, it's a walk in... This is the second time I've been to this BUC location and both times the wait was ridiculous. All I needed was a quick urine drug test for employment. An MA does those but they told me the hold up was the Dr. I had to get a TB skin test read (again by the MA) and waited for an hour. Now I'm waiting on the Dr to sign my employment paperwork - all my tests were completed on Monday-The only reason I go there is because this company has a contract with them. I will definitely let the HR department know how terrible this location is and hopefully they will remove them from contract. read more

This is the best urgent care I have ever used and I have been to a few awesome ones and many not-so-great establishments. I LOVE this staff and wish they would provide my family care primary care. Everyone from the minute you step in the door until the minute you step out treats you with such love and care. The receptionist treats you like you are someone and not a number and remembers you, if you return again. The doctors and nurses are wonderful. They act with care and concern for your issue or your child's issue. Then they offer medicine for cheaper rates than pharmacies in-house. Or they will send you to my favorite grocery store chain, Publix, where certain medicines are FREE. WOW! The best part is they call you after to check up on you. The last visit they sent my son to the ER and they refunded the co-pay charged, because they could not treat me in-house. What more needs to be said? I would say that you need to make an appointment. Sometimes, they are super busy and other times, it is slow. Make an appointment to see this awesome, hard-working staff! I LOVE Baycare! read more

My husband stepped on a rusty nail through his boot and decided he needed a tetanus shot which he had not had in 30 years. He contacted our doctor (affiliated w Bay Care) who sent him to BayCare Urgent. He got there and they charged him $125.00 (our copay -no biggie) BUT they gave him the shot and no one EVEN LOOKED at his foot or the wound!!! He had to ask for an alcohol wipe and a bandaid!! I walked in and signed in on their computer check-in. I watched on the board as it listed all the patients waiting to be seen and my name was on it. I was listed as the fourth patient to be seen. I waited for a while until finally somebody called me to the window and she said "we weren't aware that you were here." (That's because she didn't see me walk into the tiny office and sign myself in on the electronic check-in that was in front of her cubicle, nor was I greeted.) She said "it's gonna be an hour and a half wait, is that alright?" To that I said "No, no it isn't" and I walked out. Does that mean it takes them an hour and a half to see only four people. I feel bad for the person who was listed as number six. I am a nurse and I can do a complete skin assessment including doing wound care on six patients in an hour and a half! I was completely offended by their poor customer service and they're inability to move six walking, talking, non-critical patients through their continuum in a timely manner! Booooooo! read more

This is a walk-in clinic so sometimes there are a lot of people ahead of you and you will have an uncomfortably long wait but that's just the nature of a walk-in clinic. I live nearby and occasionally need care during hours when my primary care center is not available. This is where I always go for care. Sometimes I am the only patient. I get friendly competent care and I never feel like they are rushing through my exam. My husband and I have been here at least 10 times over the last two years. read more

Just received a letter from a collection agency with a sum total of $138 from December of last year for a bill they never sent me. It's hard enough to build your credit without a mediocre billing office dinging your credit for a debt you did not even know you had. Be careful when you go here and make sure you save all your paperwork, and leave nothing to their billing department because it sucks. read more

Unbelievable! In this day and age, in an industry as challenged as any in the post-industrial era - we find this urgent care clinic on google maps and receive service with integrity, kindness and selflessness. Daughter with moderate cut to foot. They evaluate, see that our insurance is likely not going to pay for their services but would definitely pay for ER visit and the required stitches. Glad to pay for their consult and then ER co pay as it is half as expensive as their projected (reasonable!) bill. I'm in the process of seeking a new primary care doctor so was glad this office was available for me. Primary care doc couldn't get me in right away anyway. I made an appt online, which I highly recommend doing so your wait time is reasonable. It's easy to do. Staff was very nice, Dr. Mahmoud was pleasant and attentive. She called me as soon as she received the results of a scan I had done at the main hospital. Also, the check in process is done on a personal tablet so no filling out a bunch of paperwork!
