Breast feeding was something I really wanted to do so my husband and I decided to make the investment and have someone come help. I saw the amazing reviews for Mahmee so I gave them a call, they were booked but they gave me the number to Linda Hannah. She was an absolute lifesaver, angel, miracle! She managers to squeeze me in 2 days later and came to the house. Within 5 minutes baby was latching! She gave us a lot of good info and even told us she was available by phone call/FaceTime if any difficulties came up and would even come back without additional cost if needed. Baby has been latching and doing amazing ever since. If breast feeding is important to you then I highly recommend investing in having Linda come work with you. One appointment at Mahmee fixed everything. We saw Jennifer, who is very focused on the success of both baby AND mom. I was told "we don't breastfeed at any cost" and didn't feel shame about any decisions we made which was a huge help. I also love being able to use the app to ask follow up questions. We went in person to their offices but I believe they also do house visits which would be very convenient if you don't live close.

The Best IBCLC Ever -- Julie Changed My Whole Breastfeeding Journey…read more I cannot say enough amazing things about Julie. With my first baby, I had to exclusively pump due to a tongue tie already released, and the constant pumping and bottle washing while sleep-deprived traumatized me. When I was pregnant with my second, I wanted so badly to nurse--but by day 4 postpartum, I was crying alongside my screaming baby because I just could not get her to latch. I felt like a complete failure all over again. I paid the travel fee for an in-home visit, and Julie was worth every single penny and more. She walked in and got my baby to latch right away! Her calm, knowledgeable presence instantly shifted everything (I'm sure she could tell I'd been crying minutes before). Her social media content is incredibly helpful no matter where you are in your feeding journey, but having her in person was life-changing. Even though I needed a nipple shield (the one she provided which was better than the hospital's!) for 4 months and my supply was just enough, I was able to nurse for 13 whole months while going back to full-time work at 4 months postpartum--something I never imagined possible as a mom who only knew exclusive pumping and tongue ties. I credit that entirely to Julie. She gave me hope, confidence, and the practical guidance I desperately needed. Julie, I hope you know the work you do truly makes a difference. I refer every mom I know who wants breastfeeding support to you. You are the best IBCLC ever!

Her knowledge is incredible, but what really sets her apart is her compassion and ability to meet you exactly where you are -- emotionally, physically, and mentally. Julie helped me navigate latching issues, supply concerns, and all the emotional ups and downs that come with early breastfeeding which made such a difference in my confidence as a new mom. Thanks to her, breastfeeding became not just manageable but actually a bonding, positive experience for me and my baby. Julie is a true gem, and I can't recommend her enough to any parent needing guidance and gentle, expert care.

Both classes were led by Barbara and Corgi, who were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and relatable. From the moment we walked in, they made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. What I appreciated most was how interactive the classes were. They encouraged lots of questions and really engaged with the group, which made the experience feel personal rather than overwhelming. They struck the perfect balance of being informative while keeping things fun and lighthearted. So much information can be stressful but the way it was presented was easy to digest. I loved doing it with my partner and think it was such a great way to get him more involved in this process that can lean so heavily on the mom. Beyond just the classes, The Pump Station offers so much! Mommy and Me, classes for Grandparents, Car Seat Installation, Stroller consultation. They also have a great gift store and registry program! I will absolutely be signing up for Mommy & Me classes and love supporting a small business who put so much love and care into what they do.

More importantly, their website said the stroller I wanted was in stock and available in 4 hours for pickup, but when I got there it wasn't available for purchase and it had to be ordered. When I brought it up to the cashier, he said it was because they have it in store their inventory but not at the store? Huh?? After doing more digging I saw there was a "Terms and conditions" asterisk in fine print you have to click on to find out this information. All I saw was the green check mark that says "In stock and ready for pick up in 4 hours." Any other place I have ever been to- this would mean it would be in stock at the store. When I brought up, calmly, that this was confusing and they should fix it because I drove two hours to get to the store. The cashier said nothing. Not a "Aw geez, I'm sorry. I can understand your frustration and why that's confusing." I'm a reasonable person. I've worked in customer service all my life. The demeanor of the cashier alone has put me off from ever visiting this store again or recommending it. We went to Uppababy a few blocks down and they were SOOO kind that it completely made my day. All I needed was some kindness. To the owners of the Pump Station- the people using your website are most likely VERY tired moms. I personally am getting 3-4 hours of sleep a day. Tired moms need clear signage if something is in stock or not. Time is precious in this season of life. We also need KINDNESS. My body is broken and recovering from giving birth. I am exhausted! I would expect a place who sells baby items to understand this. Overall, would never recommend this place and will tell everyone I know that it was an awful experience.

PLEASE AVOID KATHLEEN. READ THE OTHER RECENT NEGATIVE REVIEWS. She somehow got our last review…read moreremoved. I assume she has been doing this with a lot of reviewers. Long story, short: Kathleen should not be taking care of babies at night. I'm rewriting this review because she is putting babies in danger and this could cause harm to baby. She showed up to our house after eye surgery and could barely see and walk around our house at night time. I have camera proof that she fell asleep with our baby in her arms as well. After that, she refused to give back our deposit and took all our money. She claimed it didn't apply because the deposit was applied to the substitute. What a scam of a lady. Putting babies in danger and taking new parents money. Please do not use Kathleen for night nanny/doula services.

Kathleen was very responsive when I called initially and continued to check on us when we were in the hospital. I thought that was a good sign - but we couldn't have been more disappointed with the outcome and fired her after two nights. The first night she showed up she made fun of the way I swaddled sarcastically (yes, I'm sorry I don't know how to swaddle I just got my baby home from the hospital where nurses were doing it BECAUSE HE ALMOST DIED) and isn't it your job to teach me how to do those things? We should have sent her home then and there after that tone deaf sarcasm. We were desperate though. Even given the situation, Kathleen was far more concerned about how she would sleep comfortably and even had me looking for her glasses for her in the middle of the night because she couldn't find them. Wtf??? I've just been through the worst experience of my life and now I am caretaking you???? The second morning after she left the baby's diaper was falling off, the place was a mess including her crackers under the couch, even though we didn't have anyone else lined up we had to let her go. I was going to refrain on writing a review as she did send me an apology note and mentioned she was too old for the night jobs anymore and would be transitioning into education only (yes, 100%, should not be in charge of nighttime infant care) but for some reason I decided to look her up on here and I see she is or course taking those jobs still. I feel the need to note my experience and forewarn anyone else considering hiring her that she has the bedside manner of a screeching Tasmanian devil and to be frank my baby would probably be dead if we had hired her before the event. I'm shaking writing this because it is just that upsetting . Oh , and after finding out I was a hairdresser, on night two she was ASKING ME WHEN I COULD DO HER HAIR . ????????????????????????? Excuse me I just had major surgery, my baby almost died, I'm clearly not well and taking maternity leave as long as I can, and you are really asking me that? I also had a musical healing mantra playing in the room for my baby and she said "she wanted to blow it up". I think I've painted the picture for you- I would recommend running far away from this one. The lack of professionalism is enough, but she's also quite possibly a smoker-she smelled like febreze over cigarettes- which is a HUGE Nono around babies. This is all extremely dangerous and I really don't want anyone else to have the experience that we did.

The best investment!…read more I can't express how grateful I am for Eileen! I booked her to help us with our first child when I was still in my first trimester of pregnancy because I knew I would probably feel a bit overwhelmed (and tired). She came over to the house when I was at the end of my pregnancy and looked at everything we had set up in preparation, suggested a few additional helpful items, and gave us peace of mind going into the birth. After we gave birth (and were exhausted after 3 nights of no sleep at the hospital) she was at our house the night we brought our son home and it was SO nice to have her support after such an intense experience. I originally planned on having her help us for 6 weeks but found her support to be so valuable we extended to 12 weeks. She started her doula training in 2012 so I was confident in her advice after working with so many babies over the last 14 years. She is also a mom herself. She helped us successfully drop night feeds (as developmentally appropriate) and now we have a great little sleeper. I always looked forward to the nights she was coming over because I knew I would get some rest and I could ask her any questions I had (should we try swaddling him with arms out, what should we do about his dry skin, etc). Waking up to clean baby clothes and sterilized bottles and pump parts was lovely too :) I can't imagine starting our parenthood journey without her and would 1000% recommend her to any expecting parents! She helped me heal throughout postpartum period, and she taught us things to look out for - optimal sleep environment, diaper rash signs - and no detail went unnoticed. Not to mention she was incredibly organized, reliable and communicative both before and after the baby was born. Truly the whole package. She is the best in the business (not surprising at all, she books up very far in advance!) and we absolutely would love to work with her again. THANK YOU!!
