We were in Jericho for a business meeting and did not feel like making the long drive at night, back to New Hampshire. I searched for a place to stay for the night and that is how I found the Sinclair Inn Bed & Breakfast. The gorgeous home is full of charm and history and all the lovely small details of a turn of the century home. Kyle and Holly were thoughtful and willing to accommodate our dietary needs. Our breakfast was incredible. Kyle made sweet potato waffles and blueberry compote. He also make yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. Since I am a vegetarian, Kyle cooked homemade veggie sausage patties. Fresh hot and delicious coffee, orange juice and cranberry juice completed this perfect breakfast. When we are in the Jericho area again, this will be our go to place to stay. The room was comfortable and immaculate and had everything we needed. Down the hall from our room, they have a small room that guests can use. They have a full size fridge with a freezer. It was stocked with bottled water and various soda/seltzer water. We had leftover food from lunch and it was so convenient to have a place to put our food for later. This room also has a microwave and K-cup coffee pods and coffee maker. I'm so grateful that this historic and amazing home is being cared for so lovingly by Holly and Kyle. Homes like this are so special and must be preserved. There is a nice parking lot right outside the inn. Best place we have stayed in years.

I only have one criticism. While the A/C was working, we had difficulty regulating it to feel comfortable. It was rather cold and clammy at night, but by morning, we felt fine. It wasn't so much the cold part that bothered me, but the clammy part was what got to me. Everyone kept saying how unseasonably hot and humid it was for Stowe, so who knows... maybe the A/C just had difficulty regulating itself... or we didn't know how to use it properly. It wasn't bad, per se, but it was a little uncomfortable some of the time. The room overall, though, was really great. Also, we loved that they had Netflix and Amazon Prime, so we could settle into the shows we were missing while traveling. That was a nice surprise ! Most hotels don't offer any of that. We had planned to dine out at one of the local restaurants, but we found out they were serving dinner at Grant's, the inn's restaurant. We were tired after traveling around all day, so we stayed at the inn and ate a great meal at Grant's. (See separate review for that.) Also, the common areas in the main building next to the restaurant are very tastefully appointed, spacious, with lots of games, books and sitting areas for people to utilize. We walked around them to see what there was but returned to our room to relax and watch some of our shows. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. One night in Stowe just isn't enough, especially at the Stowe Village Inn. Let's hope there will be a next time !

Once you park there are several activities and restaurants that are within walking distance. Room The lake view rooms are totally worth it! Being woken up by the sun rising over the mountains reflecting off of Lake Champlain was priceless. The fridge in my room was really tiny, which was not as desirable. Accommodations Lawn games, hammocks, and a gas fire pit are all available for use on a first come first use basis. A large hot tub that seats plenty. The pool is 6ft deep which was nice since most are more shallow. They had bikes, that I noticed and didn't get a chance to inquire on use or price. They also offered yoga as a pop up. The gym had a punching bag that I wish I had brought gym clothes to try out. Coffee and tea nooks on the floor were fantastic! You can make your own tea, hot chocolate or coffee anytime of day. The mandatory resort fee made sense for all the items available. They also had tickets to ECHO which was a really cool science museum. Even though it is kid focused it was a lot of fun as an adult exploring the exhibits. Dog friendly too as most Hilton properties are. Staff All staff were welcoming and nice. I could tell she was new at the time and had no concept of hotel "hospitality." I moved to the new room and promptly advised my finance department to remove the hotel from the list of approved accommodations when staying in Burlington. Again, the rooms look great in pictures but the walls were paper thin and there was a huge gap under the room's entrance door - so much so I could see people's shadows walking by at night. The bed was not comfortable either. Given how much the room(s) cost, it is not worth it. The value just isn't there.

Greg showed us around the property, the lobby shop, brought us to our room and explained all the unique and exciting details of the house and property. We woke up each morning to a beautifully prepared breakfast. Since our trip was so last minute, we didn't have much of a plan. Greg was kind enough to sit down with us and help us map out our entire journey. He even helped us map an alternate route home that was more scenic. We didn't get to everything on the list, but everything he mentioned was perfect. You can tell he has a genuine love and passion for what he does. His advice and planning alone made the experience excellent. I can go on and on about the perfect stay we had. You can tell Greg and Willie are very passionate about what they do. We were a party of 9 that night We ordered the humus and it was the best thing on the menu. We had 4 orders of the kale soup, it came out cold and was like water with a few things pitched in. The bartender said there might not be enough servings of the soup, they added water to make more servings. We had mushroom toast and meatballs all very bland and not well prepared. But the awol flatbread was a joke. it was just bread with a hint of toppings. I am not sure if the bartender was trying to cook , but we tried to get food for 9 people , it took hours , It was unbelievable what was served and I came home and made a sandwich . I am at a loss for words how bad this was. This also cost about $300.00, A bag of pretzels and some chips would have been more tasty. This was an obvious example of some one in the kitchen who did not know what to do, and rather not serve bad food they threw together what they could . One highlight was their unique animal happy hour, where both locals and guests brought their dogs, creating a fun and friendly atmosphere. The bar served excellent cocktails, and the snacks, especially the house-made flatbread pizzas, were delicious. The property itself is incredible. There's a charming main hotel that looks like it dates back to the '50s but it has been completely renovated, and they added the private cabins next to a small pond that is actually stocked with fish. There are several hot tubs, fire pits and a sauna on a massive wooden deck. The location is unbeatable, close to downtown Stowe, the mountains, and fantastic restaurants. Despite its prime location and amenities, it wasn't crowded, which makes me think this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend for a relaxing and unique stay in Stowe!

The reason for my chiming in about THIS Best Western in the Waterbury/Stowe area is because they actually have a sweet and attractive little covered bridge in the back of the hotel. I was so amused and thrilled with this finding, I just had to post about it... and especially since I am posting about every other covered bridge on my personal covered bridge tour of 2025. Besides, how many other hotels or motels do you know that could boast of having a covered bridge in their backyard?

Our room: basic, but the bed and the bedding was clean and super comfortable. We slept quite comfortably, and the blackout curtains helped keep just enough light out. We often will use the bathroom light as our night light, and the bathroom was positioned in just a way that we didn't have light glaring at us as we slept. Noise didn't come easily through the door, so we weren't disturbed either by other guests in the hallway. Toiletries are standard and basic, but smelled lovely. Service: the infused water (they change fruits! Super fun and delicious) was a lovely touch, and the afternoon cookies were a wonderful surprise. And the breakfast had good variety of prepared and fresh items, so lots of choices for everyone! The staff were all also really friendly. The only negative was that our room smelled humid. Granted Vermont has had its share of rain this year, so we figured it was because of all the rain. There was also a patch in our bathroom that needed paint (it had been muddled, but not yet sanded or painted). These were the only negatives I could express about our stay.

I understand small businesses rely on reservations, but the response from management felt unnecessarilyj rigid and dismissive, especially compared to the empathy shown by other small, family owned Vermont inns. Given how the situation was handled, I would not stay here or recommend it to others. P.S. We don't think extreme weather is "foreseeable" since we had been checking the weather up to a week prior.
