The potatoes were cooked with bell pepper and it was so good to me. The bell peppers weren't undercooked and everything had a good balance. My only take away was that I started to feel like it became greasy once I made it to the last few scoops, but thankfully, it wasn't like it was swimming in oil/grease. I also took note that despite it being a decent line, they were functioning fluidly so I really didn't feel like my wait was long at all. Gotta love sufficient service. I believe I spoke on the decor before, but if I haven't, the place is very quaint with outdoor seating. It gives off a local bakery with a hint of modern. Another thing I like is that you can see them prepping some of the baked goods as you wait.

There are also a huge variety of pastries, but we didn't try those to comment on quality. I believe they just opened a second location as I'm writing this review, I see nothing but big things for this place. They can be very busy and it can get a little tight, but that is a minor gripe.

Chocolate croissants: very chocolatey but the pastry portion was a little chewy and less flaky Pecan pie: pecan pie for breakfast, I know indulgence to the extreme and I'd do it again because it was so so good! There were many more awesome looking baked good other than what I bought but I chose items that I could compare to other places. I loved it all, prices were reasonable and I knew they were made with lots of love in house (which I appreciate). Lucy J's lacks the polish of a high end bakery but perhaps that's not their goal. What I did have was good and reminded me of home. Lastly, I was attended by two young folks (teens, I think), who knew what they were talking about, helpful and courteous. The sticker shock total was OVER $22.00!!! Absolutely ridiculous to think I paid that for 4 items. BUT, this is NOT the reason for the review. The choc raspberry tart was atrocious. There was no balance to the chocolate to raspberry ratio. The whisper of raspberry flavor that managed to make it into the bottom of the pastry shell wasn't even enough to make out a berry flavor at all. If there hadn't been a slight thin line of reddish color for the naked eye to perceive, I'd have thot it was all chocolate icing. Sadly, I think I'm done w/LaBaguette, I refuse to pay their expensive prices just to receive poor quality products.

I bought a few packs of macaroons, a delicious ice-cold mango green tea, a greeting card, two vinyl decals, and a perfect t-shirt: "Mental Health Matters", going to post that today to my college Senior.
