    Caramel cheesecake
    Taylor S.

After my regular cake lady ghosted me , I reached out to Lucy J's for a custom caramel cheesecake and a dozen cupcakes. My party guests and I were blown away by the taste. Everyone loved the richness of the caramel. I have some leftovers that I can't wait to eat tonight. Thank you!

    The perfect setup!

We hired Lucy J's for our wedding cake and it turned out absolutely amazing! Our cake was so beautiful and delicious. Tracy and Josh had us in for a cake tasting a whole year prior to our wedding so we could decide what flavor we wanted. They were even able to accommodate gluten free/ dairy free/ vegan cake options! On the day of our event, our cake got delivered earlier in the day, but we weren't able to set it up in the spot we wanted because we had to move our ceremony inside due to weather. We were nervous about moving the cake ourselves, so Tracy came back later in the day after our ceremony to move the cake to our cake table for us!! I cannot thank her enough for doing this. I also love knowing that our money is going towards a great cause. Everything about Lucy J's is absolutely perfect!

I love everything that Lucy J's stands for especially in the city of Memphis! They have wonderful pastries and extremely friendly staff.

A place we buy from every time when we visit the farmer's market. People there are always super nice. I love the jalapeno bread: great for sandwiches but I can honestly eat it by itself (and that's coming from someone who's not a fan of carbs). Also love the buttery croissants, worth every calorie.

I was scrolling thru the concourse of crosstown. I noticed a bakery with fresh pastries being made. . My eyes and stomach couldn't resist. I had a ham cheese and jalapeño pastry pocket. It fresh flaky and extremely flavorful. I would definitely have this again and again.

The atmosphere and decor of this coffee shop are both inviting and antique bringing feelings of the historic times and souls once living in the area. The "team"working here were both professional, kind and friendly. When eating in your entree is hand delivered with a smile in a timely manner. I even got a brief visit from the supervisor/possible owner asking if I needed anything and how everything was going. When I replied with a positive experience he said he will pass on the word to the team. I liked that he gave credit to everyone/team. I will definitely return when in town for business and recommend to my colleagues.

The aesthetic is really well done. It's warm, modern, and just a place you actually want to hang out in for a while. The staff were great and super helpful, especially when it came to working around a few syrups they were out of. They offered substitutions without any fuss, and it honestly worked out for the better. All of their syrups are made in-house, and you can really taste the difference! They're fresh and not overly sweet or artificial. We ordered a Bourbon Mocha and a Carrot Cake Latte (which was absolutely to die for), and decided to keep breakfast on the lighter side with a slice of sourdough and two cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls, though, are not your typical style. Instead of the usual big, fluffy roll, they spiral the dough tightly and bake it that way. The result is this super fun, peel-apart situation where you're unraveling layer after layer. It feels like there are eight layers of cinnamon-sugar goodness to work through! Overall, Hustle & Dough has great coffee, thoughtful house-made syrups, unique pastries, and a really welcoming vibe. Definitely a spot I'd go back to next time I'm in Memphis.
