I stopped by today to pick up a framed movie poster for a friend and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! Since the pandemic lock down, my social skills have been lacking, so I didn't get the owner's name, but he was super friendly and we chatted briefly about getting one of my pinball backglasses framed when I come back down in a couple of months. The place is small, but it's chocked full of interesting art and ephemera to look at. I could spend a couple of hours just looking around. Oh, and the framed movie poster? Looks fantastic! I have been going to Wonka over the last few years and have always been impressed by their excellent pricing (well below market IMO). They've probably framed 20 items for me so far. They've also done repairs for me including repairing a 12" antique bronze statue which broke in half (they repaired it impeccably for I think $50!). Ryan and Peter are really nice to work with. They patiently help me select the right frames and mats. I usually have a generally idea of what I need but they have the eye that can help with proportions and what color shades match the art, etc. Their finished product has always been perfect. I worked with Ryan to frame this piece 1/13/17. Like many pieces the piece itself was penny's compared to the cost of framing, but sentimental. Probably not the smartest move to start with a big piece ~28" x 64", but working with Ryan made it simple and worth it. He is super nice and knowledgeable. He helped me make the right decisions to get the exact outcome I was expecting. He also delivered and hung the piece for me. And his prices were extremely reasonable. You'll be hard pressed to find such great quality and service at such a reasonable price. I still love my piece daily! It has held up well and I wouldn't change a thing. If you need art framed, Wonka Gallery is the place to go. We had a couple of signed lithographs that we wanted to get framed. I learned of Wonka Gallery (Ryan) through Yelp and after reading all the reviews for Wonka as well as Ryan's History on the Yelp page, we decided to go to Wonka. Best decision. Not only did Ryan helped us pick out frames, matting and glass for both prints, but he also made recommendations on how the matting should lay on the print to best show the signature which was quite low on one of the prints. The prints were ready the exact day he said they would be. Both came out perfect. We couldn't be happier with how they look and the prices were very reasonable. We spent more on one frame and he made a great recommendation for a less expensive option for the frame on the second print that would go well with the lithograph and the other frame.
