The Frame Station in Point Loma! 5 Stars!
    Diane S.

The service and expertise that Tom brings to his store is superb! With over 35 yrs of experience and as a customer for at least 30 yrs I can tell you his work is excellent! His collection of frames and crescent mats will spin your head but he will talk you through the choices and you will find the exact look you are searching for. From family pictures to special documents or degrees there is no job too small or large for Tom. On top of his large cache of clients for custom framing he also trains CCD for special needs families. He has a golden heart and a demeanor to match! Cannot recommend his business more highly! Tom is the owner and on property to help you.

Gyotaku print by Dwight Hwang of an American Shad
    Richard H.

Last year I was Flyfishing on the Yuba River for Shad. My friend is a Gyotaku artist so I brought back a fish to be printed. Gyotaku is an ancient Japanese art form using ink, made from charcoal and water, put onto the fish then transferred to paper creating a print of the fish. I brought the print over to the Frame Station on the recommendation of a friend. They did not disappoint. I brought the print in and the owner made suggestions and told us what would work and what would not work. We went with his advice. I couldn't believe how beautifully the framing and the border accented the print. It was actually stunning. I highly recommend the Frame Station

We had a large painting framed by Tom and for some reason we did not use anti glare glass, after a year we were unhappy that the glare was so bad you couldn't make out the art. I contacted Tom and he said bring the art back and he changed out the glass for us to anti glare and what a huge difference it made. It's great to deal with a company that stands behind their work. I will be back and send anyone who needs framing to the Frame Station.

This shop offers the best, most skillful and friendliest service! Tom and Robin have framed, re-framed and repaired almost all the artwork in our home! Their suggestions for mats and frames, their careful workmanship and reasonable prices are all just plain excellent! Even though their new(ish) location is a little out of the way, it is well worth the trip!

I am beyond thrilled with how my prints turned out. The frames are unique and add so much character to my walls.

I am absolutely thrilled by how my 4 prints look in their custom frames. The Frame Station is a superior establishment that offers quality service through their product and customer care. Their staff was incredibly friendly and was so helpful when it came to aiding me in choosing which frames to go with. Their prices are competitive with big name retailers (Michael's, The Aaron Brothers etc.) but with the quaint hospitality that only a small mom and pop business can provide. BUY LOCAL and support small business, go to The Frame Station for all your framing needs. You won't be dissappointed!

The stuff is pretty expensive and high-end, but if I had a lot of money, I would buy a lot of things! I did buy a little pitcher and it was reasonably priced. I would've loved to have bought some of the blue and white table linens but they were just out of my price range but so very very lovely. I would highly recommend this place especially if you like the colors blue and white as much as I do for your living room decor.

Several beautiful coffee table books they carry are on my bucket list (support small business!) and I couldn't resist the coziest recycled tartan wool blanket last time I popped in. When you need a memorable birthday, wedding or housewarming gift, stop at Mood Indigo. They have on-trend candles, bowls, platters, baskets and serving ware, and the photographs and artwork would certainly impress a hard-to-please recipient who seemingly has everything! This little shop is a perfect place to find unique keepsakes for those vacationing in La Jolla/Bird Rock, too. You'll spend a bit more here but instead of cheap touristy items found elsewhere, you'll have high-quality gifts your friends and family will actually cherish and keep for a lifetime.

There were a few other couples in our session, but it still felt intimate and personal. For $150, we were able to make three creations of anything we wanted during the 1 hour and 30 minute class. We had so much fun the entire time. The studio itself is super cute and clean, which made the experience even better. Pinch is such a perfect way to introduce yourself, your partner, or your friends to pottery. If you're new, they teach you the basics and guide you through everything if you need help. They also have a ton of different glaze colors to choose from, which I loved. Definitely will be coming back again!

There is an ABM Parking lot right across the street from the East Curb line, $10 for 12hrs of parking, on a Saturday Night that is great for downtown. The staff here was Wyathe and Shelby. They were very good with teaching our group the ways to produce beautiful pottery. The class is $90/person and that includes the instructional 45mins class plus 1 pottery item. If you want to add more items, it's $10/additional item. With the time I had left I opted to do 1 additional item. This allowed me to form and create another small bowl to complete a set of 2. I plan to use them for individual rice and meat dishes at work lunch. Wonderful party, we were allowed to bring light Hor d'oevres and juices and water for the group. Nice time and I highly recommend.
