A local Korean market it's not as large or has as many wares as H-Mart or Lotte. But it definitely makes up for it with heart and personality. All the employees here were very nice and the store definitely has a more homey feel than the large chains. They also have some unique points like a ramen bar where you can cook ramen on the spot, as well as a whole section dedicated to kpop. They also sell ice cups for the drink pouches as well as single servings of ice cream bars. Would be a great place to hang out to with friend but I didn't see any tables/chairs. There's also a great eatery next door so you can really end any grocery trip on a yummy note. Definitely worth at least checking out! read more

My colleague and I checked out the market after visiting the K-Pop Nation shop inside. It sells a variety of Asian groceries and items from frozen, shelf stable pantry, and some kitchen items. They even have a section where you can buy cups of ice and the pouches with Korean drinks, similar to the convenience store culture in Korea where one fills the ice cups with the drink pouch contents after purchase. Staff were polite and friendly - mostly they let folks shop on their own and were available if you had questions. There is also a small Korean beauty shop in the front by the registers that sells skincare and beauty products. Parking is shared with the other businesses in that plaza and seems to have a good amount of spaces if you pick the right time of day to go. read more

This is our neighborhood go to for Asian groceries. Their produce is spectacular. Prices are decent and the store is clean. I like to pick up prepared food for take home. We wanted to go to a Korean market to see if they had Korean drinks and items and although they did have the usual like other oriental stores, this one had more stuff in bulk. This stores sits in the center of a plaza and next to it is a new Korean restaurant. Employees were working and stocking shelves when we walked in. It says the store is newly opened but I don't know for how long, it looks clean. They have fresh kimchi and Bonchon side dishes and a lot of variety there with nice cuts of meats in the frozen section. It was definitely out of the way for us since it's not near the other Asian towns. This one is located in Winter Park in an older area but it had a lot of bakeries and stuff nearby. It was a good trip but I don't know if I would make the trip out unless needing things in bulk. read more

This place is a diamond in the rough, quite literally. The surrounding area is not the nicest but the inside of the store is clean, neat, organized and does not have the typical Asian store smell. It's a close proximity to Maitland and Altamonte so if you prefer not to travel all the way to the other stores on Colonial near Pine Hills (aka Crime Hills) this is the place. It is well stocked with all the necessary Asian store provisions. Prices are fair. Definitely check it out! read more

Really like this Korean/Asian grocery. Lots of produce and they sell giant jars of kimchi, my favorite! Came by recently and the staff said they are getting very little business due to covid-19, but the place was nicely stocked with all sorts of staples: rice, canned foods, fresh vegetables, and lots of frozen meat. Out side you can pick up some small pepper plants or a nice cilantro plant. They also have some small toiletries and kitchen items for sale too, so not all just food. If you need greens, ginger, garlic, or Asian sauces this is the place to come. The staff in the store were wearing face masks and were very helpful with showing you where items are found. This is slightly larger than a mom and pop store, but perfect for getting what you need an going back home quickly. There were only about 2-3 other customers in the store when I was there, so keeping distance while shopping was very easy. Side note: bring your own hand sanitizer or wipes to wipe down a cart, they do not provide any. read more

Really pleasant trip! This is the closest supermarket if you live in the north of Orlando and you don't want to hit busy Colonial Drive. Produce looks fresh and beautiful. Although it states Korean market there is plenty of items for Vietnamese cooking such as - lemongrass, dried noodle selection, cooking condiments and powders (annato seeds), wrappers for spring rolls and egg rolls. Wow! This is definitely a hidden gem. We had a few things on our list and were not near the Mills/50 area and didn't want to fight with parking so this was perfect! There are so many choices for all of the different Asian cuisines and we bought way more than we expected. There was some guesswork with some of the items we picked since the packages aren't in English... this is authentic, remember! Anyhow, amazing selection of packaged and fresh items with prices that are fair. We will be back soon to get some more of the seasonings, shrimp chips, and sweet potato noodles for sure. Impressive find!!! So I've been going to the Asian markets on 50 and didn't realized this amazing little gem was here. I came by looking for a few Korean products and was presently surprised. The parking lot is not busy so finding parking is a plus! Upon entering the store is clean and organized. The produce looks fresh and decently priced. Visited this place today in hopes of actually getting some korean sushi rolls for lunch - However they ran out because they sell them during lunch hour and I was a few hrs late. Its a clean huge asian market mostly consisting of Korean items. Scrolled the aisles and compared the prices as to what I usually get from 1st Oriental (west 50 colonial) - And the prices seemed a slight bit cheaper depending what items you get. I purchased a few things such as Korean Banana Milk in small kids boxes, Filipino Bihon noodles, Fresh produce, and Korean ban chan side dishes (seaweed salad and bean sprouts) and asian ice freeze pops strawberry milk flavored! - They offered marinated raw meats of bulgogi and short ribs however for $6 for a small tub I felt it was somewhat overpriced. Staff here understand english and are quite helpful compared to other Asian grocery stores. They had HUGE bags of corn sweet puff snacks for $7.99 and I was tempted to try it but I felt for almost $8 its a little bit hefty on the pocket. They also have very unique asian ice cream bars! There is no funky smell here once you enter this store compared to 1st oriental market - However I was sadden that they ran out of the sushi rolls!!! I will def come back and attempt to try those sushi rolls once I go to this place again. read more

When I think about an Asian Supermarket, I think about Woo Sung. It's literally authentic to the core! A major market stop for Korean products and ingredients here along with other Asian items, I mainly came for the spring roll wrappers and sure enough they had plenty in stock. Located near the corner of Edgewater and Lee Rd, you'll find a multi-business complex. This store is one of the largest units in this complex so you can't miss it. The main entrance consists of fresh produce and hard to find items not normally found in a regular American supermarket. Check out the spice section near this area too! They also have a huge section of kimchi and hot stuff! They also have a huge selection of Korean bbq and bulgogi seasonings. A big 3 Star for their service and grocery store set up. They have a huge selection of Korean items but lack a variety of other Asian cultures. Also they have plenty of space that lacks products (empty of space). I love good customer service and there is some lacking in this area, but a definite find for Korean items not found elsewhere. read more

Awesome Korean and Asian market that has been around since 1996 and we just discovered it, and we've been here since 89. If you like Bonchon then they sell of great variety in containers for 3 to 5 dollars, including seasoned fish cake, kelp salad, spicy seasoned radish, seaweed salad, mung bean salad and do many more. The staff is very helpful and showed us ingredients for some of our favorite dishes including soon dubu. We would have bought their house made version but it was made with a meat stock and we don't ear mammal. No funky fish aroma like he would smell at many other Asian markets, but that's because they don't have the fish counter. Produce look good prices are good. I think that this is the best Asian market in the area. It is clean, very well organized and you find great items. If it is something in Korean cooking, they almost always have it in stock. If you love Korean Barbecue, they have all the ingredients that you need. They also get a large shipment of New York Bakery (Korean Styled) pastries once a month. I think that it is the second Thursday of the month. The pastries contain red beans, white beans, and an assortment of creams. I love buying like 20 at a time, freezing them in freezer bags and taking one out to defrost at a time. They get it from the Chicago NY Bakery as their pastries are consistently well made and larger in size. They are usually at the front of the store on the left. They also have a great selection of kimchi's and banchan. The weekends are the days to come for their prepared Kim-baps, rice cakes etc. Don't sleep on this place, especially if you need hard to find Asian items. read more

Woo Sung is probably the one oriental supermarket that I will go to specifically for my Korean cuisine needs. It specializes in Korean goods from stacks of kimchi to an entire row of various types of seaweeds, whole frigerator sections of different types of mandoo dumplings, and pork bacon. I go for pickled vegetables and the anchovies that they usually give out at korean restaurants in little plates. Also we get the kimchijigae (kimchi stew) in a bag that comes very convenient for last minute dinner options. The stew tastes really good and often quite spicy. Stick to the soft tofu or beef but stay away from the fermented bean curdle.. read more

For the 11 years of living in the Orlando area, I probably shopped this store 10.5 and I didn't know about it right away. It was much smaller then. When the restaurant equipment sales company moved out, Woo Sung's owners took over the location and went from the basics of Korean food to just about anything Korean and added Japanese, Filipino, and more. Especially impressive are the frozen and refrigerated sections. What really got my attention in the new, expanded store were the kits for Bi Bim Bop and Korean BBQ. Slicing meat thin enough for Korean BBQ is a pain, so having it there and being able to just put it on the grill is great. They also have seasoning packets for making Jji Gae (Korean stew), along with several types of tofu, including the tubes for Soon Dubu Jji Gae. The owners may not be quite as available as in the old days but everyone there is friendly and helpful. There is rarely a need to ask for help, as things are quite well organized. read more

This place is a little far from me. I needed to try it because it is the only Korean Market kind of close to me and after going to Hmart in Dallas I am having withdrawls. Let me tell you it is no Hmart but the selection is pretty decent. They have a great variety of Korean snack among other things. They do not have a cafeteria or anything but they do sell some prepared food like tteokbokki, kimchi pancakes, and a few others. They have a nice, extensive selection of Korean and other oriental snacks. I went crazy buying all kinds of snack such as choco pie, different kind of peppero, different types of chips, a set to make chocolate among other things. They also have a very wide variety of packaged noodles and cup noodles. They also sell prepared Korean side dishes and box mixture to make Hotteok(which I'm dying to try). They also sell facial products, kitchen items, blankets, sandals, and more. The prices are decent and the staff is polite. I will definitely go back and try some of the prepared food, buy more snacks and try different products. read more

During our last visit to Orlando, we drove way out in the middle of nowhere to find this market that is noted as the Largest Korean Market in Florida. So you know that I have to go and support a local Korean-owned market. It might be the largest square-footage-wise, but the selection is the same, if not less than much smaller places. Since I drove from Tampa, we stopped here on the way home to pick things up... Because from reading reviews and seeing advertisements, we thought that Woo Sung would have items that we cannot find at our local places. We were wrong, same Korean items, most of which are worse quality than in Tampa or Gainesville. The quality is definitely lacking in the produce section, and the panchan was neither fresh nor plentiful. Ttok (rice cakes) are supposed to be either frozen or refrigerated, it even says so on the package. They store their ttok at room temperature and some were very dried out and growing mold from moisture. It was discouraging because it was the first thing that I saw. They should consider cleaning the shelves and moving some of the stock around. The home goods area looks very outdated and depressing. Also, the cash wrap stands are littered with garbage and go-backs. It is embarrassing... because many customers do not know what a Korean grocery store should be like (HMart, Mega Mart, Lotte, or Assi), so coming here for the first time would not give them a good impression. Where they do make up for the square footage is the availability of goods from other countries, such as the Philippines. While Philippine groceries can be expensive at markets, it was much cheaper here. There were also some rare brands of Japanese ramen available in single packs and bulk, that we took advantage of. 1st Market on Colonial Drive West actually is much larger, fresher, and more organized. read more

This is a Asian Market on Edgewater Dr. It is Korean owned and operated so it sells a lot of imported Korean products, pre-made korean entrees and side dishes. I would say it is safe to announce they have the largest Korean imported products than any other grocery store in Orlando. The veggie selection is good in that you can probably find that radish you've seen in some korean YouTube channel where you probably couldn't find at Publix or even Oriental 1st Market (o, its just me? lol). Sometime the veggies are fresh and sometimes you just gotta pick the right one out of bunch - it depends. The rest of the grocery store has a good selection of imported products such as korean Soup soy sauce and speciality salts. They even have some other Asian pantry items as well if you gotta restock on Hoisin Sauce or something. In the freezer sections you'll find cuts of meat perfect for Korean BBQ to make it at home - its actually quite difficult to find rib eye slice that thin, like deli thickness. Although, sometimes I question the freshness even though it has been frozen. On Sundays they have fresh food made for sale such as KimBap that you won't find it any other day of the week. The lack of stars are for freshness of the items and just overall cleanness of the store - but it not super bad. read more

What an awesome supermarket! They have predominantly Korean and Japanese products, but they have some Filipino and Chinese staples as well. They have a wide selection of banchan. This, paired with their frozen thin sliced meat, makes for a quick DIY KBBQ at home! Compared to the other Asian grocery stores in Orlando, their prices are very reasonably priced and almost everything I bought today was cheaper than at other markets. So happy that I have a decent Asian Market in my neighborhood!!! When you first walk in you will notice the large veggie selection that you probably won't find at your local (not-Asian) grocer. Most of the time they have a great selection but there have been a few times when there wasn't. They also have a fantastic fridge full of banchan galore! There is a huge selection of pre-made Korean side dishes like kimchi, kkakdugi, kongnamul, chwinamul, seaweed salad, and a ton of other items. They also offer marinated and ready to cook bulgogi, bibimbap, and kim bop. Woo Sung has so much to offer. Yes it may be a Korean market, but they also have a great selection of imported Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, Filipino, Malaysian, Indonesian, and Thai products. Their noodle aisle is pretty awesome. It's extensive and every time I go I'm always finding different types of noodles to experiment with. The sauce aisle also has a wide variety. Woo Sung is also a great go to if you need to stock up on your pantry essentials like squid brand fish sauce, Thai seasoning, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, banana ketchup, mang tomas, noodles, rice, chocolate panda snacks, Korean wash cloths-- oh wait those are mine! ;) I don't really venture into the frozen food aisle. Every now and then I will buy frozen fish balls and dumplings from brands I'm already familiar with but other than that I don't just because I question the quality, freshness, and the questionable preservative content. Oh and they even have for cookware, cooking tools, dinnerware, and cutlery! I got pretty decent Korean bbq grill plate for $12!! Hasn't failed me yet! Pros: Tons of great finds here! This is my favorite place to go when I need specific Asian goods I can't find at other oriental supermarkets, particularly Korean goods. They have some awesome Korean side dishes that they sell fresh on the right of the store by the produce. If you're looking for a giant jar of kimchi, they have that too! The highlight of this store is its array of Asian snacks. Everything ranging from Japanese to Vietnamese snacks are available and they frequently have markdowns on the pricing too. This can make it very affordable to purchase delicious Japanese snacks. I noticed that they carry certain snacks that I've only found in the Japanese shop at Epcot in Disney so theoretically, this can save you a ticket to Disney haha. The staff are really friendly and they will help you out if you have any questions. There doesn't seem to be too many of them though. It is hard to go wrong at this store if you have an idea of what you're looking for. I'm surprised more people don't go here! read more

I watched a few K-Dramas in my time and love my fair share of bibimap and galbi. Anyway...this is where I like to do my Asian groceries. I know Viet Town has tons of great places to go, but I like the vicinity of this place and parking is much easier. It's tucked right behind the RaceTrac on Edgewater next to the Public Library. I really wish this plaza would get an uplift because it really does have the potential to be a nice area. Anyway, this place has all my typical Asian grocery needs: rice, sauces, exotic vegetables, snacks, mochi and frozen meats (including thinly sliced galbi ribs) and fish. What they may lack in exotic fruits like durian or any of those weird spikey fruits or fresh meats (no butcher) they make up for in Korean dishes. They have a whole section for already prepared side dishes or pan chan. So if you've ever eaten at a Korean restaurant and they give out those dishes on small plates, they sell them here! The bean sprouts, garlic cucumbers, kimchi, pickled radish, seaweed salad etc. They even have already marinated, ready to cook bulgogi, bibimbap, and on weekends they have lots of ready made Kim Baps (korean sushi) and marinated fish cakes. Periodically, they also have pastries delivered: milk buns, taro rolls, etc. They also have a whole wall of korean marinades, sauces, etc for your kbbq needs. I was even able to find a hot cooktop with propane tank which would be super useful during hurricane outages. This is my go-to place for quick finds for Asian goods. It's another bonus knowing that it's near where I live as well. Score! It has all the essentials of what you'll need from Korean, Thai, Filipino, Japanese, and more. All their veggies are fresh and sell for a good price. Quality is also good. I forget what day or time they sell pre-made korean food that comes out hot and fresh. You definitely have to try them, especially the KimBap which is the korean sushi. It is SOOOO good. They also sell rice cookers, pots, pans, bath essentials, shampoo and other goodies that are from Asia. They have a great stock of everything you need for Korean cooking, a wide variety of brands for each kind of ingredient, and clearly-labeled and well-organized aisles. Their selection of fresh produce is very appealing, and they even have a refrigerated display of homemade side-dishes! I always make sure to grab a container of their fresh kimchi and at least one other cold side-dish when I stop by. Apart from staple cooking ingredients, dried seaweed, pickles, etc, they have an exhaustive selection of snacks and ramen. Their frozen food aisle also has tons of ready-made buns and fish cakes, and also whole frozen fish and meats. And the best part: the prices! You can emerge from this market laden with bags and with a receipt practically long enough to wrap around yourself like a Halloween mummy costume, and you'll probably still have spent less than $50.
