    Pork backbone soup
    Daniel S.

Flavor: just came back from S. Korea and this helped hit the spot eating the pork backbone soup on a rainy day. full-flavored and great kimchi they make, so of course had to buy some to-go. Fresh / "homemade" kimchi has a particular flavor different from mass-packaged. Highly recommend if you are into kimchi. Service: easy counter-service Location & Parking: Inside Lotte there is a food mart, this is one of the options. Lotte parking can be full sometimes, but you'll find a spot. Free parking. Price: big soups and bowls for less than $15... I split one meal with my wife and was great. Is it whats up? yeh totally

My favorite spot in the lotte food court. All the dishes I've tried over the years have been solid. They are more generous with the banchan than other similar spots there and seem to change the selection frequently. I also appreciate that they give metal spoons instead of plastic.

The Lotte Market food court is one of my fave places In Orlando and I've tried a variety of things from Joen's menu by now all of which were delicious. My fave dish though has got to be the seafood ramen - I saw someone eating it and it smelled so good I had to ask them what it was! Ordered a bowl for myself and was not disappointed - great array of seafood, good noodles, and just the best broth.

When you visit lotte make sure to stop by their foodcourt and visit this place! like seriously I walk into the foodcourt before and not pay attention to this food stall because its the first stall when you walk into the foodcourt and I always missed it for some reason my attention is always on the other ones so yes check them out! Its my second time trying out their food and it was the best. I got their spicy seafood bibimbap and it was so delicious. It has this spicy sauce and they mix it with rice, green onions, squid and clams. They give you good amount of free side dish as well with soup, kimchi and many more. One dish you can even share it but I always finish mine by myself. I Highly recommend this place!

Hello Yelpers! Well, this weekend we tried out Joen Korean which is located in the Lotte Market. Location: This is in the Lotte Market so it is a small eatery with a small indoor eating area. However, this area is shared with other eateries in the food court. Joen seems to be family owed and possibly run. The young man who took our order was very nice. Service: The young man who took our order was super nice and even offered to help a customer in front of us charge his phone. You don't see that a lot these days, so a gesture of kindness was definitely nice to see. Anyway, we placed our order and waited about 20 mins. When our buzzer finally went off, he realized we were missing one of our orders. He apologized, reset our buzzer, and the order came out fairly quick. No complaints in service at all. Food: I ordered the beef bulgogi and my wife ordered the galbi. Both came with white rice and some small sides. Let's start with my order. The bulgogi had okay flavor and was drenched in oil/grease. For me this was definitely a 3 out of 5. The flavor wasn't bad, but what it sat in room away from that. The macaroni was good and I wish they would have not been so stingy with the helpings. Both meals came with a side of pickled cucumbers, artificial crab meat (plain), and radish. The crab meat was good, but what would have made it is if it had some flavor to it. Overall, I would not order mine again. For my wife's order, hers was definitely much better. The flavor was there and they were definitely not stingy with the portions. Her sides were the same and no better or worse. I would rate her meal a 4 out of 5. Now, overall, if you want Korean BBQ, I would suggest going to an authentic Korean bbq restaurant where the food is cooked in front of you and the sides are generous. Joen Korean wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. However, if you do decide to eat there, make sure to get the galbi. You won't be disappointed. Happy eats and travel adventures!

Stopped in for dinner with my son while picking up groceries. My son ordered a spicy pork bulgogi and I ordered the galbi tang soup. Both entrees came with rice and sides. The pork came with a small bowl of chicken soup. The entrees were both delicious. Macaroni salad was a little on the greasy side. All the other sides were good. The portions were good sized as well. We both have leftovers for lunch. Price was reasonable. About 30 bucks for both of us.

Ordered from here through Door Dash and I got the shredded beef with clear noodles. It was packaged well and didn't spill. The soup was pretty decent and had a nice spice to it. Enjoyed the veggies in the soup. There was a side of Kimchi and it was decent as well. I also got the kimchi pancake and wish it was crispier. I think the kimchi made it a bit soggy, which wasn't enjoyable.

Located inside an Asian market called lotte. I had the beef bibimbap number 9, it was not bad! Came in a hot stone pot, serving size was decent. Came with three sides. It can get busy in the food court. Place was very clean.

I've been visiting Joen for literal years and it's become a real problem lately because I crave their Galbi once a week. I feel at this point they know me and may even expect me to visit. Their banchan (side dishes) are some of the best I've tried, I even order extra most of the times I stop by. The service is always great and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. I've attached photos of my meals over the years and there are still many visits I did not take a picture. It is honestly my favorite galbi and japchae I've tried. I've even visited Seoul South Korea for my 30th birthday two years ago and it was very similar. I look forward to continuing to visit this location and highly recommend it! It's always clean and I prefer to go early because it's less busy. It's located inside of Lotte supermarket and there's usually plenty of parking available. Also if you dine in sometimes they have this beef broth that tastes absolutely amazing.

We don't have anything like Lotte in my town so I was looking forward to shopping and snacking at the little restaurants inside. We got Galbitang and bulgogi bibimbap. Food was quick and very good. My bibimbap was served in a stone bowl and never seemed to cool down so I burned my mouth in that it-was-so-worth-it way. The fresh egg cracked was perfectly cooked by the time I put in my sauce. The Galbitang/Kalbitang was delicious. The food is great quality and service is quick if you want a quick lunch/dinner. They are still doing construction inside Lotte so it's not a great atmosphere but it's a food court feel and quick service so I enjoyed it. I will come back next time I'm in town.

For this night we arrived at 5:45pm, right before the dinner rush hit. We did the Bite30 menu and between the 2 of us we had the deep fried beef dumplings, the buldak (spicy chicken), the Korean bbq combo, beef tongue, and for dessert we had the bungeopang and the hotteok. Everything was so delicious! Our waiter, Andy, was really really sweet and basically cooked the first tray of bbq for us and told us how he likes to use the banchan. He and my husband, who is Spanish, chatted about struggling to eat their culture's food growing up, which made me feel a little better about ordering my kid's chicken nuggets. We basically let him choose all of our food and he was spot on with all of his recs. If you can sit in Andy's section when you come, you must!!

My favorite meal of all time is Bibim Naengmyeon. I specifically came to try theirs out. I've had it at many restaurants, and have my own preferences on it. I'm unsure the official way it should be made or prepared, so this is only based off my preference. Theirs was chilly but not cold. For example, the apple slices were room temp, but the bowl was cold to touch. It didn't have ice in it, and the noodles were very chewy like japchae. So chewy that it was difficult to bite. They did provide scissors for this reason and the waitress cut it up a bit at the table before serving. The taste was fabulous. The classic flavor we know and love. I will definitely order it again even though it doesn't fully meet my personal preferences of ice and less chewy noodles. My table also got the dumplings and the dumpling ramen. Both were delicious. The lack of a star is for the service and the smell of the place. The smell wasn't of pleasant food, more like dirty dish water. I'm hoping this was a fluke. The service was dismissive, but efficient. I was ignored to my face, but I'm not too upset because everything came out fast and fine. I know this might bothers others though.

I got tempura that was coconut shrimp and sweet potato, corn cheese Rangoon and I got gochujang wings. Everything was fresh, super crispy, and had really good flavor. Once you're done eating you go to the register to pay, which wasn't obvious. Would return.
