I was impressed by how clean the store is, and their fresh vegetables are reasonably priced. Also, they seem to have weekly specials which you'll see posted on yellow signs. I'm the kind of person that when you open up my pantry, you will see a rainbow of beans in clear containers. I use all kinds of beans a lot in my cooking so you can imagine my delight in seeing that they had an entire aisle dedicated to beans, lentils, and all kinds of other grains, and very affordable! You will find mostly middle eastern items here. There was an entire section dedicated to tahini, and olives! So many different kinds of olives, it was very impressive. They also have prepared foods, and an area where you can order hot food/sandwiches. I plan to come back and update my review once I try out their hot food. At over 100,000 square feet, walking into H Mart almost feels like entering a little world of its own. If this is your first visit, give yourself plenty of time because there is A LOT to explore. One of my favorite things about visiting international markets is discovering products and ingredients I wouldn't normally find at a traditional supermarket, and H Mart absolutely delivers. Let's start with the seafood department, because WOW. Fresh fish, live seafood, lobsters, king crabs and varieties of seafood I don't normally see at my everyday grocery store. Even if you're not buying seafood that day, it's worth walking through just to see the selection. Then there's the produce section, which is another adventure. The variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, greens, herbs and specialty produce is fantastic. I found myself stopping every few feet thinking, "What is THAT?" If you enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, this is the kind of place that makes you want to go home and try a completely new recipe. And the aisles... SO MANY AISLES! Noodles, rice, dumplings, sauces, seasonings, marinades, teas, snacks, sweets, beverages, frozen foods and ingredients representing cuisines from throughout Asia. Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino and beyond -- there is so much to discover. Some items were familiar, while others had me pulling out my phone because I wanted to know what they were and how they were used. But H Mart goes well beyond food. You'll also find Asian beauty products, household goods, plants, kitchen items and other specialty products, making this much more than a quick grocery run. Another thing that stood out to me was the service. For such a large and busy market, the employees I encountered were welcoming and helpful. When you're walking through a store this size and discovering unfamiliar products, having someone willing to point you in the right direction makes a difference. H Mart has been around since 1982, but this massive Orlando location feels like something Central Florida has been waiting for. With more than 100,000 square feet to explore, it is definitely a destination rather than simply another supermarket. My tip for first-timers: Don't rush your visit. Give yourself time to walk the aisles, check out the seafood and produce departments, and maybe pick up something you've never tried before. Whether you're searching for authentic ingredients for a specific Asian dish, stocking up on favorites, or you're simply a foodie who loves discovering something new, H Mart is absolutely worth the trip. So, it almost feels like you are in a self-contained mall rather than just a grocery store. My favorites so far are Kung Fu Tea, Paris Baguette, and of course the arcade. In fact, I have won several stuffed animals from the claw machines, which is of course very addicting. As far as the grocery portion is concerned, I love the variety of beverages and fresh produce. I wouldn't say the prices are better than your average chain store, but the variety of items is better. And to some extent I also think you are paying for the experience, which honestly is fine by me.

(You know what store I'm talking about... starts with an H) Fine, but my personal observation especially based on the visit I made last week is that even though the other market is being hyped up by social media; Lotte is still a better, and more affordable market. Granted, the food court choices at the other location are better, I'd still come to Lotte when I need specific asian ingredients. It seems they're aware that theres more competition and they've not only done renovations to the store but they have a lot more specials now than before. The day we went they even had several people promoting products and giving out samples. I don't recall them ever doing that before and I think that's a great idea to boost sales in items. I look forward to shopping here in the future.

I've had a few occasions where I've needed to ask the cashier for advice on things to buy or where to find things. There's been a leak in the chips aisle for as long as I can remember. I think this is a mom and pop run store though so just make sure to avoid the bucket on the floor. If you get the bean sprouts here they don't last very long in your fridge so make sure you use them pretty quickly but otherwise I haven't had any problems with the produce. Sometimes you can find the viral snacks here for much cheaper than other locations. If you're in the area I would recommend checking them out.

This small Brazilian market is easy to miss. It is located in the Knight Retail Center (located on the corner of East Colonial Drive and Knight Avenue, not far from the Winn-Dixie shopping plaza). In fact, I have passed this by multiple times thinking it was just a convenience store. Let me say that I am happy that I found this. Service was friendly and the gentleman behind the counter walked over to the refrigerator with the meats and gave me a description of each the meats and sausage. Prices are good. I believe the New York strip steak was under eight dollars a pound. The ribeye was at a similar price point. The sausage was somewhere around six dollars a pound. The location is not the best. As I said, this Brazilian market is easy to miss and the parking lot is a bit small, but if you miss this places, you will be missing out on some good stuff. It's located where Presidente use to be on the corner of Chickasaw and Curry Ford Rd. First thing I noticed when I walked in was the smell of Fabuloso cleaner. The place was spotlessly clean, so much better than when it was Presidente. It's still the same setup, and they had a lot of great sales going on. Got a bag of onions for 1.99, Malta India was on sale for 3.99, They also had sales on a wide array of coffees. Like Presidente, this supermarket has a lot of Latin American products. I love that the Bakery had like 5 different types of bread available. Pan de agua, Cuban bread, pan sobao, etc. I will definitely frequent this market.
