I understand that nothing is perfect, but my objection here was that you see very little of the DR. I told the assistant what was going on, and got a "well, sometimes this happens." The Dr should have been alerted that instant. The Dr. needs to be more involved, I felt as though getting new patients was more important than the seeing existing patients. The problems this created are still with me today. I do not recommend this because of that risk

Second half she told me what she thought of my answers and didn't ask if she was correct in her conclusions. She told me my issue was grief and that I needed to learn to compartmentalize and I should quit seeing my counselor who I trust and see her for therapy instead. Plus my wife was sitting outside the office and could hear everything. Finally I got the prescription for my mental health condition that I needed at the time luckily. But if you have other options go somewhere else.

I now do medication management with Dr. Irwin, who is great for those looking for alternatives to medication. I would say that she is about the whole person rather than just a medication hound. (She of course prescribes medication, but she was willing to work with me when I wanted to go off antidepressants for a while.) The foyer was recently refurbished so that it has a cozier sitting area than before. The office staff are kind, especially the billing department. It can definitely be difficult to get an appointment less than a month out, and every provider has guidelines for the patients they will or won't work with. My recommendation is to expect that finding the right therapist is like dating--it takes time and sometimes a lot of repeating the same story to different people before you find the right fit.

I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.
