I have been a patient of Dr. Tanner since 2019, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the care…read moreand compassion she has shown me over the years. From the very beginning, she has always made me feel like she was sitting beside me at the table--not just listening to my concerns, but truly hearing me and taking my thoughts into consideration, especially when discussing medication trials and treatment options. Beyond managing my chronic conditions, I went through a very difficult period involving numerous medical appointments and a major surgery at the end of 2024. During that time, I was also caring for my emotional support dog, who was experiencing medical issues of his own, which added another layer of stress and concern. Shortly after, at the beginning of 2025, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my oldest brother while I was still recovering from surgical complications. During one of the most challenging times of my life, Dr. Tanner was the provider who genuinely cared about my mind, body, and soul. She recognized that I needed more support and suggested more frequent visits to check in on how I was coping and healing--not just physically, but emotionally as well. I also want to acknowledge how much Dr. Tanner does behind the scenes. She continues to provide exceptional care for her patients while also carrying the responsibility of managing many administrative and clerical duties, especially while working with limited front-office support. Despite those challenges, she continues to show up for her patients and do everything she can to provide the care they need. To those reading my review, I ask that you please provide Dr. Tanner grace and understanding. She is doing her best to care for her patients while balancing many responsibilities behind the scenes. Her compassion, attentiveness, and genuine concern have made a huge impact on my life. I truly believe Dr. Tanner played an important role in helping me through a time when I was struggling to keep going. She is more than a doctor; she is someone who made me feel seen, valued, and cared for when I needed it most. I am forever grateful for her care and the difference she has made in my life.

My kid was involuntarily hospitalized and missed an appointment. They weren't able to call anyone, not even me, in order to cancel the appointment. Even though the situation was explained as soon as they got out of the hospital, there was zero compassion for a young person, with no money, who was obviously failed by them and ended up in the hospital. These absolute criminals still extorted my kid for $160 missed appointment fee. They pray on young, sick people and you should stay as far away as possible.

Dr. Cain was the best psychiatrist I've ever had, and Dr. Dowd was the best therapist I've ever had. Unfortunately, Dr. Cain retired and Dr. Dowd passed away. I now do medication management with Dr. Irwin, who is great for those looking for alternatives to medication. I would say that she is about the whole person rather than just a medication hound. (She of course prescribes medication, but she was willing to work with me when I wanted to go off antidepressants for a while.) The foyer was recently refurbished so that it has a cozier sitting area than before. The office staff are kind, especially the billing department. It can definitely be difficult to get an appointment less than a month out, and every provider has guidelines for the patients they will or won't work with. My recommendation is to expect that finding the right therapist is like dating--it takes time and sometimes a lot of repeating the same story to different people before you find the right fit.

What an unprofessional, uncaring, absolutely zero personality having excuse for a psychiatrist. He actually was nodding off as I spoke. Do yourself a favor and avoid this man.

I thought the problems we had were complicated and difficult to resolve. But after only a couple of sessions, I was impressed. Bryan has a really structured approach to improving relationships for couples. It not only helped us better understand ourselves and each other, but also breaks down an healthy relationship into specific areas we can work on. He gave us useful "tools" we can use every day. Now many of them have become a natural part of our on-going communications and interactions. After working with Bryan for a few months, my wife and I have grown much closer. I believe Bryan can be a really helpful resource for many couples for want to improve their relationships.

We felt comfortable opening up from the very beginning, and the tools he gave us are things we still use every day. His system works -- plain and simple. We are incredibly grateful!

I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.
